I live right across the street and I don't think Ill go back. Bad attitudes and disengaged employees. My "regular" sandwich that I paid over 7 dollars for was not 7 inches. It was a mini. 5 inches. Dry with no flavor or sauce. Not the 56 on wheat I typically order. This is my revenge for coming in 20 minutes before they closed and right after they wiped the grill. Sorry for the inconvenience. I was asked "how can I help you?" three times because they were too busy laughing at my order and chatting it up behind the counter that they weren't paying attention to me. The quote of all quotes is that they don't do customer service because they are not Wal-Mart. You are very brave my friend because I would never say this to a customer out of fear they might go on Yelp and write a nasty review about me. Took there time to make their subs with no urgency. We stood outside earlier and called just watching them. They did not answer. This is my first bad review of your staff. Not your product. We had a large catering order on a weekend (yes, we called it in the evening before to make sure there was adequate time to prepare) with several different sandwiches and special requests and was a great experience. Not only was it correct but it was made on time and easy to pickup. The staff was busy but made our experience great. Really nice group of people working there. Love this shop and will go back! For a chain sandwich shop Jersey Mikes is head and shoulders above the rest. Both hot and cold subs are well prepared and generous proportions. When I call in, the sandwich is always ready on time. When I stop by the wait is never very long, and its always pretty busy. Great sub shop. read more

OK, I'm going to be a little petty. I've been going to the Jersey Mike's at Channel Islands for quite a while and generally have been satisfied with their food and service. Stopped by today at 11:30 before any sort of lunch rush, wanted a roast beef with swiss cheese-everything's proceeding so far so good, not much swiss cheese but they did put on quite a mound of roast beef. Thank goodness I was watching as they finish preparing. Asked for minimum lettuce, regular tomato, lots of pickles and honey mustard and the young lady started loading onions on my sandwich. Really? I stopped her and then she started putting a giant pile of lettuce on my sandwich; again had to tell her a minimal amount of lettuce. She got the tomatoes right and did put on quite a few of the requested pickles. Remember, I had asked for honey mustard but another employee reached over and squirted a line regular mustard. I was starting to get frustrated and explain to them to please LISTEN to their customers. Anyway, they removed the half bread with regular mustard, brought over a fresh half of bread, put a tiny squirt of honey mustard on it. Geez. Thought I better get out of there before something catastrophic happens... Because they did not pick up their phone I am leaving a Yelp review. Usually, a great place I order online all the time because I think it's easier to make a sandwich with no mistakes when you have a piece of paper telling you what a customer does not want on their sandwich. My stepdad loathes mayo, so when I ordered a sub-club today for 1:07 pm I made sure to just have mustard lettuce tomato. Now they put mustard on it but also put mayo. So he will not eat it. As a former sandwich artist, I always made sure to check I was making a sandwich right because this is someone's food and if I mess up they might not come back for me to correct it. Honestly I would leave five stars because everybody knows the food is delicious, but almost every time I come here the service is atrocious. Sometime about a week ago there were three young girls working in the front and they were gossiping about a previous customer as a former manager myself this is extremely disappointing and is very offputting from coming back. From now on if I want to get food in the future I will just order for pick up to not have to deal with the people that work there. They look at you like they straight up do not want you in there however the people buying the food are the ones keeping them in business and giving them their paycheck which seems that they are too young to realize or comprehend for some reason. It seems like many establishments nowadays are like this and it's sad to see such a good food place turn to this as well. Like I said they are young and i'm sure myself and the other negative reviews say enough and no means is anyone trying to get them in trouble but it is a place of work and professionalism needs to be established. I use to be a subway girl until I had Jersey Mike's. It only took one time to change my mind. I usually get the turkey but I've had the #13 and the tuna. The tuna surprised me cuz it was actually albacore. You can call in or place an order online for times when you're running late or the lines get too long. And they will because it's a great place. I ordered online, and when I got to the store they were packed because it was lunch time. An older couple ordered about 8 sandwiches and they had a line behind them, so it was a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, which was understandable. What wasn't understandable however, was the service I received here. There was a white girl with very light brown hair and blue eyes working the register. When she finally got around to asking my name for the order, she asked my last name to confirm, and then tossed my bag of food on the counter even though I had my hand out to grab it and then just turned back to the older couple. No "thank you" or "have a nice day" just my food thrown at me. Super rude. I wish I had gotten her name, but I wasn't about to walk around the counter to look at her name tag. I just wanted to get out of there. I understand being stressed out during rush, but don't take it out on poor customers walking in to pick up their order. read more

This jersey mikes location is pretty amazing! The quality is great, the place is always pretty clean and a few of the girls are super friendly and accommodating. The reason Im giving JM only 3 stars is their price and their inconsistent customer service. The price of their subs are pretty expensive, especially if you are feeding more than one person. After drinks, and a bag of chips a regular sized sandwich is $12-$16 bucks! Just a little overpriced in my book. And unfortunately they do not have a discount for bigger orders or regulars. And now for the customer service... Where do I even start. More so than not, I have a great experience with the girls. A few of them remember your order, are friendly and talkative and will even suggest their favorite sandwiches. However, more recently I've had bad experiences with the girls which is why I'm leaving this review. The majority of the girls there now are cold, unwelcoming, snooty, rude and act like they are going in for a root canal, when in actuality they're only going to a 4 hour shift at a sandwich shop. Ordered my food through the app on the my phone. (Never had any issues before.) Today was a different story. I go pick up my phone to see a line of 4 people, I stand in line, when its my turn to Order. Informed that I had ordered online. I jump to front of the line to pay. I payed, got my chips & drink and left. Once I got back to my backroom at work, I opened up my sub to see that it was completely wrong. No Pepper Relish, "Juice", and Bacon (Charged me extra). They had put together a #13 off the Menu. Not my regular custom #13 I Always get. They took something that was made very clear online of what I wanted and what I didn't want on sandwich and just threw in the garbage. I didn't even eat my sub because it was so disappointing. A complete waste of $16. The last thing I have to say about this location, is not a pleasant one either. There was a total of 4 workers. 2 off them in back, making bread from what I could see. The 2 others, were up front, 1 gentlemen who was busy attending everyone making subs and 1 young teenage girl too busy on her phone. The young man had to ask her if she would mind ringing me up. She look at him and shrugged, like she was being force to do something that would pry her away from texting or whatever she might have been doing on her phone. This place is trash. Between the six employees behind the counter, they couldn't make a sandwich. I stood waiting for 15 minutes while one girl at the meat slicer tried to fix another woman's order, while also making three other sandwiches before even taking my order. Meanwhile, two other employees tried to figure out how to complete another man's order, while three other employees stood in the back, socializing. One even asked the manager, "Am I good?" to which he responded, "Yes, we're very good." That employee went back to socializing after I pointed out how long I'd been waiting without even being acknowledged, to which she responded, "We'll get to you." By the time the girl was finished making sandwiches for people who weren't there, she tells me they're out of bread. Maybe they should have been making more bread or taking/completing additional orders instead of socializing? Whoever owns this franchise is getting taken for a ride by his/her employees. Always a good stand by in case one of the new places I try ends up being a disappointment ( which is often the case). I'm hooked on Mike's # 13 done Mike's way with a Jersey dip ( they drag the bread across the dressing and spices on the cutting board). Then I tell them to drown and bury it! Love coming here, everyone is really friendly and makes sure you get what you ask for. Good service and fast! Sometimes I feel they go too fast and you don't have time to think it all the way through so you feel pressured so try not to stand in line until you fully decided. Everything I've tried has been good, Tuna is good but a little too fishy (like fish sauce), Chicken Philly is good too. It's all made fresh in front of you, they always put huge amounts lettuce, more then I want. Compared to subway its a little more pricey but it's better quality. Get it Mike's Way! read more
