This was my first visit to a Jersey Mikes. My wife likes the one in Santa Clarita so we tried this shop. I thought the line was long when we got in it, but after a few minutes waiting to order, that line was out the door... wow, SLOW service. The order took close to 15 minutes to build one large sandwich which we shared. There is a major bottleneck in how they build sandwiches. There was ample help behind the counter and all were busy, but its just so inefficient. As for quality, its on par with Subway... no better nor worse and I like Subway. But Jersey Mike is definitely overpriced - largely due to the inefficiency of the operation and not 'better quality' ingredients... this is no NY Deli with top notch meat cuts. I have 2. reasons to give this particular Jersey Mikes 5 stars.... Of course the first is the good food! They make the bestest sandwiches of anyplace in the world! Everything is always fresh.. I always order the #7, turkey & provolone on a white roll.. I'm craving one right now... Guess where I'm going when I get done writing this The second reason I go here is the employees.. The owner/manager has trained them very well.. No matter what they are doing, when you walk in that door, you get a 'hello'. They always act like they are glad to see you. I have a couple severe allergies, & they go out of the way to make sure my food is perfect.. I am extremely allergic to tomatoes & onions. The way the bar is set up the lettuce is right between the tomatoes & onions.. They clean everything off, put fresh gloves on & lay a wrapper across the board where they make my sandwich.. They bring the lettuce & mayo from the back refrigerator before they make it. Not once have they ever messed up.. I can eat from this restaurant knowing that I won't have a allergic reaction.. Problem is manager. On Sunday customer ordered sandwich a specific way. Manager just stands there doing nothing but playing with her hair and ringing up sandwiches. Sandwich was mis made by worker and rejected it; manager just stood there and stared at customer, so he walked out without sandwich. She just shrugged shoulder and told employe to put sandwich on back counter and leave it sitting. After standing in line for ten minutes watching employees working and not getting anyone else in line served, we told mgr we were not waiting any longer and we also walked out. First off I just want to say My family and I like to take morning walks around the seabridge area as we do not live that far. We do occasionally like to stop here to grab a sandwich or two and enjoy after I'm not sure if you're management allows this but I've seen some of the employees SMOKING MARIJUANA outside where we usually like to walk in the back I was very disturbed to say the least because they go back In to make our sandwiches? everyone should be aware and check your sandwiches!! Every time I have gone in to jersey Mikes the service has been exceptional.Great team and managers .This particular visit though I was disappointed.As I walked in the girl seen me walk in.She came up to service area.She asked me If I seen her co worker go by.I told her I just walked in that I didn't.She then proceeded to ask me my order.I asked her if she could please clean the cutter since I was ordering a veggie sub.She got a wet rag,wearing gloves.Then used the same gloves to make the sandwich.I asked her what was on the rag,I noticed the gloves were still wet when making the sandwich.She replied that's the rag had bleach on it.I then said why wouldn't you change your gloves?She said nothing and changed her gloves.I wish people would be mindful of things like this. read more

SANDWICHES WITH A SIDE OF ATTITUDE. I came here on a Friday afternoon, and there were only two other customers inside the store, but immediately upon beginning my order I was being yelled at. I began the sandwich assembly line and the girl was obviously annoyed and did not want to be there. She asked "what do you want" and as I began telling her my order she cut me off and said "IM NOT MAKING YOUR SANDWICH I ONLY WANT TO KNOW YOUR BREAD" (all caps because her tone was unnecessary loud and rude). The other young lady who was putting the toppings was like her twin! Attitude and all. I ordered 4 sandwiches and for each I asked for avocado, and every time she never failed to remind me that it's going to be an extra cost, I understood after the second time. As she was wrapping a wrap gave up and told the guy next to her to do it bc she didn't know how to. The gentleman who rung me up was the only kind interaction I had when I was in the store, so I thank him. In addition they repeated their extremely rude customer service with the next customers. I made eye contact with them and we were both in shock and confused why they were being so rude. I hope these workers learn to provide decent customer service. read more

Food is still good quality but the customer is destroying this place. Today we finally had enough which is why we're no longer using this location. We placed an online order for two giant sandwiches. The first sandwich we paid for extra meat. It was noted on the receipt, the ticket for the order and even on the notes section when placing the order. We received TWO slices of meat on each piece of the sandwich. The second was done Mikes Way but was drowning in oil and vinegar. The amount was so heavy it went through the paper, the bag the sandwich was placed in and the bad meant for carrying both sandwiches out of the store. The stench was overpowering when we unwrapped the sandwich. We immediately took the food back since $40 for two sandwiches we expected better quality. The cashier immediately called over a manager to look over our order which is understandable for quality assurance purposes. The manager immediately began arguing with us and stated we should have noted the way we wanted our sandwiches. We pointed out the notes on the receipts and ticket and she continued to argue. We actually had to point blank state to her "can you please stop arguing and just remake our sandwiches or refund us?" The sandwiches were then made to order. This is not the first time this has happened in the last few months. But given that this now the management style we'd have to deal with they're completely absolutely in the wrong, we'd much rather just drive out to Ventura or Camarillo and run some errands to make out time and money at JM worthwhile. Not sure if it's the app/online ordering or the people at the store to blame, but there are some definite problems when placing an order here. I put in an order for 2 sandwiches (through the app), one with no cheese (food allergy), both with no tomato, one with no onion and the oil and vinegar on the side (cause who likes soggy sandwiches). Went to the store and picked everything up and brought it home, only to find our sandwiches were all wrong. The only item that came on the side was a thing of avocado (something we wanted ON the sandwich). Cheese, onion, tomato, oil and vinegar were on both sandwiches. We called the store to let them know our order was wrong and asked if they could please be aware of the problem for future customers. We weren't looking for a refund or anything, just wanted to let them know what was wrong. The manager looked up the order and said that there were no customizations done to the sandwiches (so why the avocado on the side?) And after explaining what was wrong, he simply said "k". Nothing else, just "k". At this point we were done with the whole thing and hung up. The girl we spoke to originally was way nicer and understanding that we just wanted them to be aware of the issue, especially since one of problems had potential health issues due to an allergy. Super annoyed and pissed. Came in with 2 friends at 8:13pm to get sandwiches. There were two young male employees who helped us, one messed up our sandwiches, the other messed up the charges. OK...so it's Friday night and I'm at Oxnard High School helping set up for the Relay For Life. I was working with a bunch of volunteers for several hours. We had been putting together and moving huge canopies, setting up chairs and doing last minute stuff to get ready for a great Relay. You should've seen the look on all the volunteers faces when I brought 2 trays of subs that this Jersey Mike's location had donated. The subs tasted great, they use fresh ingredients, and the store owner rocks. I love how this Jersey Mike's is so involved in the community....talking about a business going above and beyond. This is the best Jersey Mike's location I've been to. I don't know what they do, but the sandwiches here are always way better tasting than any other location. The only sandwich I get and I dream of is, the Mike's Chicken Philly. The secret is to get it Mike's Way, without lettuce and to add pickles and mustard. So after it's grilled, it's this wonderful hot sandwich with chicken, melted cheese, tomatoes, onions, pepperoncinis, vinegar, and mustard. OMG I want one now! read more

Once Jersey Mike's came to town there was absolutely no reason to hit Subway up for sandwiches. The slight difference in price is well worth it. Fresh ingredients all day every day. Best tasting is Mike's Way! The owner is often there and this is a smoothly run operation that gives back to the community through charity events. I worked a lot of years of retail, but I was never rude, even when I hated my job I get that it's Covid craziness, but please don't embarrass people when they aren't familiar with the flow of your line...arrows on the floor might be helpful to indicate flow. But know what might be more helpful? Courteous employees who don't roll their eyes at you and refuse to acknowledge customer questions such as, "Is this where I order?" I came to get a sandwich at 12:30 pm on 7/22. These young ladies apparently were never taught customer service. They were rude and disrespectful. I was not familiar with their new layout, with the signage or when to pay and the employees were too busy talking to each other to assist. The girl at the register was way too busy with her phone to do anything except make snide remarks. No hello or how are you? When I said I wasn't familiar with their new layout, she rolled her eyes and pointed at the small, order here sign. The only one who even uttered more than 2 words was the girl who brought my sandwich at the end. She made eye contact, thanked me for my purchase and wished me a good day. I'd love to tell you who that was, but no one had name tags. With the behavior of the others, I can see why! The first time I EVER go to jersey mikes with my daughter and dog in my arms and I'm completely modified. Embarrassed to the max!!! I was standing in line for 15mins and as I'm ready to order the man that was right about to take my order yells "that dog can't be in here". There was NO sign on the door that stated no pets allowed!!!!! Knowing there is a pet store a couple doors down you would think they would have common sense to have a sign.
