I used the Jersey Mike's APP and selected catering, subs in a box for my daughter's baby shower. I ordered four boxes total with two different sandwiches per box. Each box has four giant subs, individually wrapped as quarters (16 per box) and each quarter is also cut in half. I asked for a 12:00 PM store pick up. When I arrived, the store was packed with patrons. Four people for store pick up and about 12 people in the walk in line. I wasn't even inside for a full minute when an employee asked me if I was there for pick up. I gave them my name and pickup time. In about another minute's time, one of the girl's came out of the back with my four sub boxes. Through the APP, I requested additional ingredients on the box that had #8 and #9 club subs. At home, I verified that everything was perfect and exactly as I ordered. The sandwiches were a huge success for our guests. To the person in charge of the DoorDash tablet: please add 15 (maybe 20+ min) to your ETA for DoorDash orders. I have never once gotten there and the order was ready. It's usually a 10-15 min wait, but sometimes even a half hour. All of this can be avoided by simply taking 30 seconds to set a proper ETA. If you guys are busy, or the orders take 30 min for whatever reason, that's fine, but set the ETA accordingly. This was a really bad expierence. First of, the employees were acting like we were interrupting them. The place was dead so we probably were. No one was wearing a name tag so I don't know who to complain about. I ordered a kids meal for my three year old. They were out of the cookies that go with the kids meal but the "supervisor" let us have a bag of chips instead even though he's "not supposed to do that." If your hours have changed due to Covid and you are no longer open until 9:00pm like it states on the web page, Google, and your front door please change your hours and post them so customers do not drive across town for one of your subs. To me if the posted business hours are until 9 o'clock that means your doors remain unlocked until 9 o'clock accepting customers not Doors locked sign off prior to 9 o'clock employees cleaning up and then ignoring customers at your door who are there before your posted closing hours acting as if they don't see or hear the person at the door right next to them. And if this is normal business practice where we just close ahead of time understandable again change your hours that way if 9 o'clock really means the time that the employees are trying to get out and go home by then we go ahead and just say we close at 8:30pm. We had gone to the NASCAR races in Fontana the previous weekend so we had a coupon good for one free sub valid in LA, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The uneducated individual at the cash register informed us that the coupon is not valid because "this isn't LA county, it's the Antelope Valley". This particular location has some of the best patio seating in town and is located right in between a coffee shop and a gourmet cupcake shop, so your dining experience is shared with an array of folks. I strayed from my usual order this time around at Mikes, instead of getting the Big Kahuna, I opted for the BBQ Beef sandwich. Initially I was having a hard time deciding between the BBQ Beef sandwich and the meatball sandwich. I even asked the staff which they preferred and they couldn't even decide...so I ended up siding with the BBQ Beef, and I'm glad I did... With all of the delicious food aside, the most memorable part of my visit to Mikes was am employee, Michelle. Her customer service skills and attention to the customers needs are really up there, to tell you the truth, I'd be surprised if other restaurant owners in the area weren't trying to recruit her. I was amazed at having all the cold cuts freshly sliced. The other thing was I ordered the Original Italian. When I saw the cold cuts kept coming..I said to myself this is going to be good! I was not let down either. The Sandwich said fresh all over it. The vinaigrette oil was to die for..great tangy taste. Dillion who added all the condiments was talking to another customer who had been there before. The Customer commented how good the Subs are. Dillion said: " I've been working here over six months...I have one for lunch every day and never get tired of it. I can see why! These subs..blow the competition out of the water." My New Year's Resolution is to write Yelp reviews. After years of using Yelp, it's time to spend the time to step-up and contribute. Unfortunately, the first place I can review for 2010 isn't a big fancy Michelin-starred restaurant in a trendy part of town, but a chain in a barren sandland. I'm partial to subs, so I'm probably taking it too easy on this place. That said, I enjoyed the highly customized nature of this place. I could have probably asked for anything I wanted on the sandwich and they would have given it to me. I didn't, but I'm just guessing. Although the bread is rather boring and the meats are average, the end result was a flavorful sub. A couple of other warnings. The service was slow for a "fast food" type place. The price is a bit on the high side for sandwich. I'd probably go again if nothing else is around. First and foremost I LOVE their staff. They are always friendly and helpful. So I typically get the #56 but I accidentally ordered the #55 and I'm not disappointed at all. The #56 is the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak but add jalapeños and mushrooms to the normal peppers and onions but with extra cheese. The #55 is the same but with chicken.
