Since we can't go out to restaurants right now, we have been doing app orders and pickup. Jersey Mikes has always been our sandwich go-to for quick pickup. Today was ridiculous. We placed an online app order, that gave a confirmation of 15 minutes. Once I got there, I waited for 30 minutes for my 2 sandwiches. Crowds of lunch customers walked in and received their orders. No staff member cared enough to check on me. I could see the online staff making orders and he was the slowest worker. When you see a customer standing there for 30 min, there's an obvious resource problem. I don't recommend using the online ordering. No one cares. read more

This old rabbi has seen many a Shabbos come and go but today at Jersey Mikes in Purcellville VA I tasted the manna from heaven itself! Went in with my aching knees and ordered the Number 7 Turkey and Provolone piled high with lettuce tomatoes and that divine Mike's Way juice. Cost me 12 dollars a steal for such a mitzvah on my tongue! The young meshuggeneh behind the counter sliced it fresh and smiled like she knew the Torah herself. I sat by the window with my yarmulke slipping saying a little prayer of thanks as the pastrami dreams of my youth paled next to this glory. The customer service at this location is unmatched. Macon and Troy were absolutely incredible. Came to this location on a business meeting with some special requests and guests with food allergies and the staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit this location. I worked at this Jersey Mike's from august 2024 - April 2025. This was my first job and it was perfect, Hours were flexible and the people who you worked with were always nice and trying to teach and learn. Regulars loved us, and customer satisfaction made the staff satisfied. The team that had grown and developed this Store into the striving and passionate community it was has all been fired and replaced. We were unfairly treated by new management and most fired for no reason, lots of the other staff quit within 2 days of the old managers being unfairly fired. The new management has also taken precautions to make sure that any old employees who come in to order a sub are hit with a trespassing notice. Regular customers will notice very soon the new management has sucked all of the fun and passion this store had. read more

We placed our order via the app at 12:15 pm to be ready ASAP. The app said the food would be ready at 12:52 pm which I assumed was a mistake. Guess what? The food was ready at 12:49. Really like having a J.Mikes in the hood, but this one struggles with orders. Most recently ordered a number 17 online and then custozed the sub with 1) extra meat. 2) bacon. 3) pickles. 4) mayo. The meat and bacon were an extra charge which is fone. Get there 30 mins later and pick up my bag and begin drive home. Open sub and take a bite, and none of the customizations made it to the sandwich. Check my receipt - they are clearly printed there. Decide to turn around and drive back 10mins to get it made correctly. Explain to manager what happened and show ber the receipt and they make me a new one. All good, right? Get home and open sub and this time they still missed the bacon and the mayo. The app is great and I normally really lime J.Mikes, but this particular store really struggles with to go orders. read more

Don't order from here online. Especially don't use GrubHub. I ordered online for pick up and "allegedly" someone from GrubHub picked up the order. However, the order was for me to pick up, not forfor a GrubHub delivery. When I called Jersey Mike's to find out what was going on they said that I needed to call GrubHub that they had already made the sandwich and that they know that someone picked it up. When I called GrubHub to report this they said that they need to verify with the restaurant. GH called the restaurant and Jersey Mike's told them that nobody picked up the order and that they were just now making the sandwich I'm not calling anybody a liar however those two stores are in direct conflict with each other. Online order system at this location is a complete mess. We ordered our sandwich online, says it will be ready in 20 minutes. Go inside and stand there watching everyone in line get their sandwich...and me waiting 40 minutes. Every online order I've made here is like this. I should have gotten in line and just ordered that way and had them forget the online order at this point! but why offer the app when this location clearly has no concept of managing it correctly. 40 minutes for one sandwich with low traffic is ridiculous. Not my favorite jersey Mike's location. Online order always seems to be just thrown together, but tonight took the cake! I unwrapped my sub, and it wasn't cut in half all the way, but the sub was totally falling apart! Staff always seems super miserable, but the food always tastes good! Disappointing visit. We showed up to order at 8:30pm this evening. We stood ready to order and weren't acknowledged for about the first two minutes. When we were asked what we wanted, we ordered a cheesesteak. He simply responded "the grill is closed." Anything else I can get you? Finally a decent sub place in Pville other than Subway! I've been here a few times and the subs are fresh and the toppings plentiful. I usually get the #13 "Mikes Way" and it's always good. They do put on lots of oil and vinegar so if you are you are going to save it for later you might want to skip this step or you'll have soggy bread. I had a hot sub once and was not as impressed with it as the cold sub. The place is clean, there are several TVs and the staff is nice and friendly. Have noticed that the amount of meat on the #13 gets less each time we go in. Paper thin slices. Very bland- sandwiches are a just a shadow of what they used to be. Also, no black olives and other condiments they used to have. And Management needs to remind workers to be patient when talking with their mask on, as customers may have a hard time understanding them and vice versa. Service could have been better. I've eaten at JM's in Purcellville several times. I frequently grab a sandwich to take to work for lunch (they open early) and it has been consistently good. The staff is great (shout out to the young woman frequently working during the day who is a master sandwich maker and never forgets anything)! We were going to grab subs yesterday but the hubby forgot his mask and they (politely) explained that their policy required customers to have them. Couldn't agree less with the unfriendly staff. Every time I go in there they are super friendly, and the place is bright and clean. So I have no idea what these people are talking about! I LOVE cold cut subs and this place is my favorite when getting them. I always get it mikes way...yummmmmm. I have had their cheesecake sub and thought it was tasty, but think their cold subs are much better. The fact they don't heat cold subs doesn't bother me...because they are supposed to be COLD!!! You would ask an Italian deli to do this and if you did, most true ones wouldn't do it anyway. Pricy, but I would much rather eat here where everything is fresh than subway, well where it's not. I have friends who have worked in both chains (not just in the pville locations) and have heard many things about food prep and cleaning. This my 'home' sandwich store and I eat here at least twice a week. The sandwiches are, no doubt, the best around. This is about the company or store policy of asking for tips for just doing your job. I have noticed this and other businesses as well and find it annoying that I am asked to donate money for nothing. All the meats are weighed and the bread is cut to size no matter what. Example: There was an already cut sandwich bun on the counter from a previous order that looked longer than usual but wasn't the largest. I asked for that one, thinking I'd get a bit more and tip a couple of bucks. She looked right at me and cut an inch off that bun! And they wonder why nobody tips them? I hope this review helps the franchise owners of this particular Jersey Mike's. I've been to several JMs in the Northern Virginia area; usually Chantilly and also Leesburg among others. The Purcellville location is currently suffering from a lack of good management. I have been in their twice recently and had to wait for the lone person doing everything from slicing the meat/bread to putting on the condiments to serving as cashier - while 4 or 5 other teen employees huddled in the back goofing around. This is the only location where I have had to deal with this annoyance; All other locations every employee is cranking out the subs with a smile. Food is of the same high quality; The owner just needs to kick some butt or find better employees who understand the negative effect goofing around on the job can give to customers. It personally gives me pause about going there often. It's a real turn off read more
