Really, really good breakfast place! Senior you're on a Friday morning, and the place was hopping. I had a steak and eggs breakfast bowl. It was fabulous! Decent amount of steak, great potatoes, eggs were perfectly done over easy. It's sprinkled with Mexican cheese and a green sauce and some wilted spinach. BF had a traditional breakfast, and he said it was really good. Very generous amount of potatoes. A nice touch was how they left a thermos of coffee on your table so you could refill anytime you want, as well as a carafe of water Service was friendly. My only suggestion for improvement... The place is very very noisy. The acoustics are just really bad inside, and so it's hard to hear your dining companion. Stopped in for brunch today with a friend. I joined the waitlist online and checked in with the host when I arrived. Check in was simple and we were seated relatively quickly after checking in. After we were seated, we were offered coffee and given both a regular menu and a specials menu. I opted for the tres leche french toast which I enjoyed. I will say that I had ordered an iced coffee which was forgotten on my visit. BUT our waitress was super apologetic, took the iced coffee off the check, and even made me one to go! Came in on a Sunday, and boy was it packed! I had "gotten in line" for a table online with an estimated table availability from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes wait time. I was hoping for a 45-minute one to an hour wait time, but they did end up seating us a little over an hour and 15 minutes of the estimated wait time. It wasn't that big of a deal really, but I was a little bit impatient because I was starving. The staff were really friendly and calm, especially during a really busy time. I appreciated the staff's patience while I was a little bit hangry! They were quick and pretty good with the table turnovers as well. The dining area and the tables were all fairly clean even halfway through a busy Sunday morning and a full dining area. The only thing I would've liked was to have been checked on a little sooner after getting our food because I needed my water to be refilled. It took me a couple tries to get our server's attention so I can ask for more water. It's a great spot for breakfast or brunch for small or big groups. It wasn't too loud when we had gone even with several families with children. There is a bar for people who prefer and for people who like to eat alone, too! My mom ordered the chickichanga; my dad had the smoked salmon fritata and seasoned potatoes. I chose the Works Omelet with seasoned potatoes instead of the greens. Holy crazy great! This salad was so so good, I barely spoke. It was a meal in it's self so full but stuffed my self further with the half huge turkey, melted cheese, bacon, avocado and I could barely finish. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday morning. We had to wait about ten minutes for our table but there was plenty of seating available in the entryway. Yessica was our server and she was great. She was knowledgeable of the menu and was able to answer any questions that we had prior to ordering. I ordered the trifecta with a waffle, scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. My dad had the works omelette with a multigrain pancake. Our food was served at room temperature, not even warm enough to melt the butter on our waffle and pancake. Had a celebratory brunch here about six months ago with my husband. Ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, million dollar bacon, and coffee. Husband had the farmhouse hash with scrambled eggs and artisan toast plus coffee. Both meals were good but pricey at a tab over $50 for the two of us. But the ricotta pancakes were especially moist, flavorful, and delicious topped with the lemon curd (instead of maple syrup) and strawberries. The lemon curd was outstanding which is why I asked for a little extra as I boxed up leftovers from two enormous plate-sized pancakes. Fast forward to today... Aware that it's a Valentines Weekend and Presidents Day tomorrow, we opted to get take-out for one order of the lemon ricotta pancakes and politely asked for extra lemon curd. Expecting something just as equally special as last time (albeit not eating it freshly served as before), we were sorely disappointed! The two pancakes had sloppy, overcooked edges (one pancake was generously sized while the other was about 1/3 smaller). Disappointed that both were dry overall and lacking the distinct and unique ricotta moisture that made them so good the first time. There were only 8 pieces of quartered strawberry for two pancakes (that means two strawberries). But the real problem was barely a tablespoon of lemon curd in each of the two condiment cups! Something was terribly off, because even a busy day shouldn't affect a signature dish that noticeably. Could have been the result of a recipe change (which would be a real shame). Could have been someone was pressed for time and didn't get the order right or someone in the kitchen misread the order. Could be whoever did the cooking thought no one would notice and swapped out the ricotta pancakes for regular ones to save time and/or money. Who knows? But if you're going to charge $14 for pancakes -- they better be good. And for goodness sake -- don't ruin the best part by skimping on the lemon curd!!! Sadly, we won't be back again. read more

We were a party of 4 with two of us getting avocado toast, another the bananas foster French toast and the Al Pastor Taco Hash for myself which was delicious and a lot of food. We all split the millionaire bacon which was tasty if a bit overpriced for 4 pieces of bacon. Everyone really enjoyed their food and our server, Andre was very pleasant and helpful, professional yet friendly which is a rare combination in today's post COVID restaurant scene. I also got the Purple Haze fruit drink which was delicious. We were there at 9 with check in ahead seating and I'm glad because it was starting to get crowded. When we left, it was crazy busy! --FYI, I was going to give this place 3 stars until I got the bill--- After hearing MULTIPLE times in a foodies group about FW, I decided to bite the bullet and join the waitlist on Saturday. The coffee wasn't good at all -- very acidic and burnt tasting. We thought, "well, it's complimentary, right?" WRONG. It was $2.99 A PERSON. If we were told it would be a person/per container, then we would have reconsidered. It wasn't even on the menu to order hot coffee. I ordered the red medicine drink (cranberry, pomegranate, black tea, honey)--this drink was REALLY good. Refreshing, holiday themed, and perfectly balanced. I got the cinnamon chip pancakes and the hubby got the million dollar sammy. I asked for an over medium egg and before I could say what meat I wanted, she left. I assumed I'd get bacon since that's what the picture had online. I wanted to flag her down because I wanted to make sure that my pancakes weren't topped with strawberries (I have a severe allergy), but she didn't come back. I looked online again and saw there weren't any so I let it go. Food took forever and we were anxiously waiting the hyped up food. I looked at my plate, and I got sausage. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was frustrating that I didn't get to choose. Our waitress wasn't even the one that dropped off the food. I cut into my pancakes as she dropped off the syrup (yay for real syrup!) and almost choked on how dry they were. I had to put so much syrup on it to eat them. I knew I couldn't send them back because they were almost closed (it took that long) and I needed to eat. My egg was not over medium. It was over easy. I thought I could be picky about how I ordered my egg since they were a breakfast place, but they got it wrong. I also only got ONE crusty pancake and my dish was $12. Unreal. She didn't check on us until we were almost done. My husband said his sammy was good but he thinks he probably got my over medium egg on his sammy. Waitress dropped off the check, clearly tired, because it seemed like she was THE ONLY ONE THERE. I felt bad for her. She was snippy with the table next to us too because they asked for some extra toast and she gave it to them for carry out because "they were closing." I get it, but we are still paying customers. There were 3 hostesses and 2 expeditors besides her. Crazy to do that to someone on a Saturday. We were visiting friends in the area and stopped a First Watch for breakfast on the way back home. Visually pleasant atmosphere but little or no sound dampening, so voices carried and the air was a cacophony of other people's conversations and the echos thereof lending First Watch the all sound qualities of a busy commuter railway station at rush hour. We had trouble hearing the waitress and conversation across the table between us was a challenge. They do a good job with food - we both ordered what they call a Standard Breakfast, 2 eggs over medium, toast, their signature fried potatoes (very good) and choices of sausage patties, links, or bacon ... all pretty standard, nothing complicated. Coffee comes in a thermos pot that they leave at the table. Water is delivered in quart milk bottles with glasses for two, in our case. It was pricey. Two of those Standard breakfasts, a diet coke and a decaf coffee with a 20% tip (because prices are not the servers fault, people!) set us back $40. I'm old enough that I can remember a time that I could get that same breakfast in a diner for $2.50 ... these days closer to $10 to $12 give or take for each of us for a total bill of $24-$25 for breakfast for two. I guess when you locate in an area that has cookie cutter houses on postage stamp lots selling for north of $1million, you make hay with the locals while the sun shines. read more
