They changed their bread and it's horrible. Such a shame. I will never order from them again. The bread is like powder and it's gross. From a business perspective this is a huge mistake. In an attempt to make money by offering cheaper bread you are alienating your core customer base. This is exactly what ruined Burger King years ago. read more

We went in today to get a sub, not realizing what a mad house that parking lot was today (airshow). I unfortunately was in a bad mood after this BUT I walked into this jersey mikes, was greeted with a warm smile by Malik and everything changed. He was kind, nice and knowledgeable. Gave the best customer service. The club sandwich was delicious, this jersey mikes location was super clean and you could tell the employees do a good job Maintaining it. It wasn't super busy which was great for me but it picked up as we were leaving and still everyone working (around 10/11) had a smile on. Thanks Malik for turning my day around. read more

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak from Jersey Mike's and it was perfect -- hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The steak was tender, the peppers and onions were cooked just right, and the melted cheese tied it all together. You can really taste the quality in every bite. This is the newest of the Jersey Mike's off Van Buren. I was prepared to go to the In n Out but am very glad I skipped the line for this freshly made, cut and healthy rosemary Devine sandwich. Love hate relationship with Jersey Mike's Pros: good sandwiches. Probably one of the best "Fast food" sandwich places. Quick to get your food and the quality is there. Service is fine like how you'd expect from any other Jersey Mike's. Cons: the price.. I really refrain from going here due to the price. It's almost $20 after tax for a giant lol.. I just can't justify that unless the I'm not the one paying for it most of the time. Granted I think the price hasn't gone up directly equal along with inflation even tho it has increased over the past few years. It's still too much for a casual lunch. You'd expect at that price for a sit down and dine restaurant. Bottom line: if it's not on my dime then sure why not. If it is.. Then I don't expect to eat here more than a handful of times a year. Price is the primary issue, but judging from the amount of people that go in during lunch.. It may not be a big issue for them. read more

Jersey Mike's, a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with more than 2,500 locations open and under development nationwide, has a long history of community involvement and support. Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's serves authentic East Coast-style subs on fresh baked bread - the same recipe it started with over 60 years ago. Established in 1956.

It all started back in 1956 in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was originally known as Mike's Subs. The original owner, Mike, thrived off the seasonal tourist industry and a small population of year round residents. In 1975, Peter Cancro, only 17 years old at the time, purchased the business with the help of his high school football coach. When the company began franchising in 1987, Peter renamed the business Jersey Mike's Subs. Today, there are 1,500 Jersey Mike's locations open and in development nationwide.

On June 20th, 2026, Substation has closed its doors after a fantastic run! Service- owner was always so personable and remembered a face! The staff was united because he build a community and special outings for employees. The memories were always posted on the wall. Ambiance- the owner and family made the seating and tables I recall. Very simple with patio seating available. Amazing job! You will be sorely missed.

The chicken is as good as it gets, perfect batter and execution. The fries, however, were the polar opposite. Undercooked, limp, hard to believe the contrast between the chicken and this mess that I couldn't eat after the first few bites. This is the suggestion part: Be sure the cooks know how to shake the basket and recognize when the regular fries are properly cooked and crisp. I read a lot of other reviews saying they had issues with the fries also. My second trip was via drive-thru and I ordered the amazing pastrami burger. Just incredible, really. I get why they're popular. Based on the first time I decided to try the curly fries to see if it would be a better outcome. It was, fortunately, and I think this is what I'll get henceforth, or onion rings, which are still untried. Anyhow, the girl at the window forgot to give me the drink and I'm still wondering how my bill reached $22, but I'll ask specifically next for the receipt and breakdown. Their burger is another win; I got it lettuce-wrapped, and it was so satisfying. I love that they pack it in a sturdy box instead of a paper bag. It kept everything together and totally mess-free. Major props to the kitchen for the excellent takeout presentation! Also, I really enjoy their fried zucchinis, it's one of my absolute favorites here. The staff behind the counter was welcoming and efficient. I had a good experience and I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out their breakfast menu.

They've removed from of the apps they used to have, but for the most part, the brunch menu is legit and you can't really go wrong. For example, last time we brunched here, I got the waffle and it was phenomenal.

Their coffee, tea, and baked goods are fantastic, but the main reason I love this place is because it's very cozy and the perfect place to read, study, catch up with a friend, or go on a date. They have a special, themed menu that changes every month. There is almost always seating available. They have a small book exchange, often sell local art, have cute merch, and just opened up a bakery right next door with extra seating. I'm kind of a snobbish third-wave coffee person and although this place isn't trying to be that way, it still is my favorite spot because of the overall vibe, how genuinely kind and down to earth the baristas are, and how comfortable it is. A lot of coffee shops are so brightly lit and trying to be hipster still in 2026, but this place is just kind of homey and the classic cozy coffee shop we all want to go to. I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. Have never had a bad experience with Jersey Mike's but Taia (I really hope thats how you spell it) absolutely KILLED IT! Made me aware they were out of cold sub bread, but when I inquired about the hot subs, immediately asked what they could make for me and they made it fairly quickly. Overall Taia served me with extremely amazing service. Not to mention how good the food was too!!! read more

The older man that cleans the windows for the store is very disgusting and should be replaced because he is constantly giving sexual remarks to the female employees without even trying to conceal what he says in front of customers and you can tell they look very uncomfortable. Very perverted and should definitively be confronted. read more
