This place has a lot more traffic and business than expected, but it was never too busy, there was always a place to sit. The outdoors was really enjoyable as they have a patio to sit on. staff was pretty polite. The wait time was not long and the sandwich was actually good. I would give the sandwich 4.5 stars if possible. It wasn't life-changing, but I think only because the Italian dressing put on the sandwich seems to be from a bottle. I would really love to see them do an oil and vinegar with mayo amd mustard ase, and maybe some dried herb sprinkled in and douse it down, but I guess there are people who do like a dryer sub. but it was good. Hi I wanted to update you from my last review. Over time they have improved the customer service and the way they prepare the chili dog. I think they still streak the mustard on top of the chili dog unless you ask them not to but I am not sure because they always ask you what you would like on the chili dog and gives me a chance to place the mustard on the bottom, which is the traditional way to do it if you were to compare it to Carney's or Tommy's in LA. Being from New York the traditional Greek sauce is used which is a Greek beef hot dog sauce is what Tommy's (Greek Immigrant) and what Carney's is reminiscent of. Carney's is claimed to being the best Chili Dog in Southern California and Tommy's number 2. In my opinion I think the chili dog from the deli is much better but largely unknown. The standout for me was definitely the onion rings perfectly crispy, flavorful, and easily the best I've had in a long time I loved how they were easy to eat without having the entire onion fall out in one bite. The ambiance was great too clean and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of shade so even on hot days you could still enjoy your meal outside ! They have a lot of different sandwiches to choose from which are their specialty but they also sell salads and hamburgers. I recently gave this place a try and now I've been coming here once a week. They have great daily specials and now that my daughter is working here a few days a week, we will be coming here more often. If I could give this place zero stars I would!! My husband and I came here on our lunch break. We ordered at the window outside. The hubby ordered a rueben and parmesan garlic fries. I ordered a beef dip and we both got unsweetened iced teas. In my opinion, too expensive. $42, plus a $6 tip. (Which I wish he hadn't given after the service we received.) I was looking forward to eating here at the patio area since it was a nice day. There's several benches with seating. A cute little set up. Unfortunately that didn't happen because of our terrible experience. We sat down and waited for our food that NEVER came out. The 2 gentlemen that ordered ahead of us received their sandwiches before us so I decided to ask if ours were almost ready. Upon asking the girl at the window she looked around and couldn't find our food. She apologized and said our ticket must have been lost!! So disappointed! So I ended up asking for our food to go since it took longer than we had anticipated, which was disappointing since I was looking forward to enjoying my lunch outside. (Even the 2 gentleman who received their food before us commented that we should receive our food for free because of the wait) As we continued to wait we saw people coming and going, which I'm not going to lie made me angry since I feel they should have put a rush on our order since they messed up.
