Employees weren't that nice/ welcoming & they don't take $50 bills apparently even though my order was close to $50...

I saw something happen here 4/11 about lunchtime that really bothered me. It wasn't busy and there was only one other guy eating there besides us. The other guy by himself was mentally handicapped. As he cleaned up after he ate, you could tell he lost something and was looking around for it. He seemed to be getting upset as he looked. The lady working called out for me to get my sandwich and he thought she was talking to him and he came over and I heard him ask her if she had his gift card. The guy had lost his gift card after paying for his food. She said no and the guy kept looking for it. A few minutes later and the guy started looking through the trash in case he threw it away. Just as I was going to offer to buy the guy a new gift card because I could see he was upset and didn't want him to dig through the trash, one of the female cashiers working held up a gift card and asked the guy if it was his. He said yes and took it and left. So why did the cashier have the mentally handicapped guy's gift card and why didn't she give it back at the point of purchase? And what took so long to return it? Left me with a very uneasy feeling that this handicapped guy was being treated badly by the employee. read more

They are made fresh for you, as you order them. Even though, they have excellent combinations, I like to customize mine to my taste. I always ask for extra pickles, provolone cheese, and light on the mayonnaise. Everyone is really pleasant there and is very friendly and accommodating. I have never been judged on my pickle preference. I love their cookies too. The deluxe chocolate chip cookie is soft and sweet. The line moves smoothly and you can always order ahead on the app. If you join their rewards program, you can earn free subs. The meats and cheeses are freshly made and delicious. First thing I do when I get to a new city is look for a Jersey Mikes. Consistently good sandwich no matter where I am. Service is quick. Eating there is comfortable and interesting. BTW. Salt and vinegar chips go with every sandwich in the place. It's not the corner Italian deli at home but it's my go to when I'm traveling. read more

I think they have pretty solid subs and I had earned a free giant sub using their app. My go-tos are the Italian and Big Kahuna cheesesteak on the rosemary-parmesan bread. They've cut back on the amount of steak, as it usually can't fit inside the sub roll; not a problem anymore. Italian still has a good amount of meat and always tastes fresh. Very disappointed with the service. The staff was rude after making a mistake. The mistake wasn't a big deal and I wasn't upset. Mistakes happen. I ordered my sandwich and went to pay and only had a $100 bill. I was told they don't take that and nothing more than a $20. I was asked if I had a card and I said I didn't. I actually ran out without my wallet and had the $100 in my truck. Nowhere was there a sign saying they don't take anything more than a $20, so I was confused. At 12:30 on a Saturday I'm pretty sure they had change for the $100, I think they were just being difficult. This is the second time this location messed up my order. The first time they cut my sub, when I clearly requested them not to cut it. Not a big deal. This time THEY COMPLETELY MESSED UP MY ORDER. LESSONS-LEARNED: If you order from here, I highly suggest you do it in person and watch them make it or completely unwrap you sandwiches to make sure they didn't muck it up. MY EXPERIENCE: How can you not put any toppings and cut my sub again!!! SEE picture evidence. I asked for a refund but the so-called manager tried to do something on his computer and said he couldn't do it (I really didn't believe him). Then he told me that his staff didn't mess up my order. Then he said I need to bring in my sandwich to get it remade, to which I said I didn't want it remade because I didn't trust them not to mess up my order again. He didn't believe my complaint and kept insisting come in for a redo on the order. I told him that I don't to waste a long round-trip drive and I could show a picture of how they messed my order so he can refund me. But he would not hear it. Although I do enjoy your turkey sub, the many times I've been in are of concern. I worry abt cross contamination, allergies and food poisoning. I have never seen the young boys who work there clean the slicer and every meat and cheese goes thru it without even a wipe down. I requested the cleaning today and the young man came back rude to me. I asked several times to get his attention, but he was only interested in asking me and people behind us what sub we were getting without even listening. Then he snapped, I already sliced your meat! With insis I asked him to clean the slicer and he finally did. Please have it cleaned often and have the young kids change their gloves, and please teach them to respect customers. It's hit or miss when I'm there and the guys are usually messing around or being silly. As long as they're nice and respectful, it's okay but not all have learned manners. They need to put someone at the register that listens to what the customer's order. The gentleman got my whole order wrong. At least he could have offered to make me new subs the way I ordered it. All he said was sorry it's his fault we'll it's definitely NOT my fault! So I ended up going to Continental's Pizza and subs I got exactly what I ordered and it was delicious. The original Italian, club sub and Chipotle Cheese steak are my favorite subs here. I love how they slice all the deli meats in front of you. They now have wheat sub rolls. Make sure to get all cold subs Mike's Way. So happy they opened in Rockville. Don't have to drive to Kentlands to enjoy Jersey Mikes. This location just opened and they were giving $1 regular subs for their grand opening special. So be patient as the lines are long. This location is a lot smaller then other locations. Bummed to have ordered a couple subs (one with extra meat) for pickup at lunch today just to drive home after to find that they charged me for the extra ham but didn't actually give me any. I live more than 20mins from any Jersey Mike's so I wasn't about to go back over $4 but still... frustrating. Delicious subs made to order. My favorite here is the Chipotle Cheesesteak, it's got all the elements of a quintessential east coast cheesesteak but taken up a notch with the creamy chipotle sauce. First of all, everyone makes mistakes but what you do to make it right is the key to good customer service. The management team (including the GM) is horrible. I ordered a number 13 and received a number 9. As of yet, I have not been able to get my delivery fees refunded. They usually have quite a few staff members at this location but they also tend to be lacking a protocol to avoid switching up customers orders. I wish I could say this was the first time my order was incorrect and that management did everything to make it right but I can't. Jersey Mike's has been around since '56 and started off in Point Pleasant, NJ. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering a variety of cold and hot subs, wraps, kids options, and desserts. JOY B. and I came here for lunch, as this place had recently opened in the Rockville area. We ordered the #6 Famous Roast Beef and Provolone and the #17 Jersey Mike's Famous Philly. I loved how all the meats and the cheeses were sliced in front of you, and everything was made-to- and assembled-to-order. We were both a bit disappointed and unhappy with the #6, as the roast beef looked raw (rather than rare); we assumed it would all be about medium- to a medium-rare, but the staff stated that you could request a different cut. Knowing that for next time, we substituted the #6 for another #17. I personally really enjoyed the cheesesteak, as it was super cheesy, slightly salty, had a nice addition of the requested mayo, and the bread was soft. I'm a huge lover of cheesesteaks, so this was pretty satisfying! :D The staff here are all really friendly and accommodating, and the place still exudes the newness. I'd love to come back and try out their #43 Chipotle Cheese Steak, the #44 Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak, and their cold subs. I went to Jersey Mikes the other day in Dakota Crossing shopping Center NE Washington DC. I have Celiac Disease and I can't have Gluten at all . I needed to take some medicine and not on an empty stomach. So we pulled into that shopping center hoping to find maybe a five guys or something where I could get some gluten free fast food . Which is really really hard to find. Except for salads. I came in with my family for lunch today. I looked up at the menu and saw "Jersey Mike's Famous Philly cheesesteak". Well, I'm from Philly. Nobody outside Philly makes them right. Came here for the first time and ordered the Chipotle Cheese Steak. It was OK, but I am from Philly and have had better cheesesteaks there. For the DMV area, it is much better than most places I have had. The bread was soft, which was a huge plus and the meat was chopped/minced up. The only issue I had was the rude guy working on the grill. When he finished my sub (it wasn't packaged yet), I asked for lettuce because I forgot to include it, and he just gave me a dirty look, which was not needed. I tried to be friendly and I said thank you, have a great day, and I got absolutely nothing from him except that mean mug face (it's only lettuce, takes two seconds to add). The rest of the staff seemed fine, but I have no idea what was wrong with him. I will definitely try other subs, but it may not be at this location, at least in the foreseeable future. read more

Fresh, delectable and leaving me craving more. Just some of the choice words I have for Jersey Mike's. Originally, I was planning to go last Sunday, but plans and occasional laziness got in the way. Wednesday seemed like a proper fit after my coworker kept sending me screenshots of the menu. For hours we contemplated what we wanted while other coworkers either asked to join or shamefully regretted taking an earlier lunch. My coworkers and I drooling in awe at the menu, the freshly made bread, the fresh cutting meats, everything was fresh! Sizes regular (7") and giant (14"), do you want a drink? Free upgrade to a giant drink. Wow, wow, and wow. We we're so focused on the giant hot sub, and freshness, none of us bothered with chips or extras. After sitting down and talking for a good 10minutes, our orders were ready. We had each given a name for the order thinking we'd be called one by one. Nope, Jersey Mike's is keeping it 100 by serving your order to you. 3 giant tin foiled subs came directly to us. The smells, the cut down the middle, generous and not scarce proportion subs. We all finished half the sub without saying a word other than sounds of enjoyment. Before long, it was a round Robin of food comas and a disappointing sigh of "oh right... We have to go back to work now". Personally, I tend to waste food, especially leftovers. I'll save them or throw them out from inconvenience or straight up give them away. But my sub was so good, I not only took it home for dinner, ate it incredibly fast.. But also noticed that there was small if not no, sogginess after. I ordered the number 31 I believe. California Chicken Philly sub. I really wanted the chipotle chicken or something hot, but didn't want to experiment too heavily the first time around. My sub had lettuce, tomatoes, Mayo and chicken and none of which was skimped on. I'm used to getting the chicken Philly at Jerry's subs.. And although good, often feels like something is missing. Not with Jersey Mike's though, this was a full, giant and filling hot sub that kept me satisfied twice in one day. Having trouble sleeping? Went to visit for a quick lunch date with my boo and I fell in love! There's a subway very close to my house but I was pleasantly surprised by this Jersey Mike's in Rockville. The place is much bigger than other locations and I love the parking lot since it's so convenient. The portions are much bigger than subway and they give you a lot more ingredients in your sub! I got the mini size and was full from eating half (but then again, I don't really eat that much). I asked one of the workers for a recommendation since it was my first time ordering and she recommended a great sub! I forgot was it was called though I also love their Philly cheesesteak (10/10 oh my goodness). The employees are very friendly and kind! And the location is so convenient since it's in Rockville and close to everything! The place is also very nice and clean. If you're craving a sub, this is definitely the place to go! read more
