The shake was delicious and the fries were great (I would consider these ideal standard fries). The burgers were solid - I'm not the biggest fan of the texture of their meat patties (it was a little thin for me, but I guess that's why their regular burgers are double). It still definitely scratched the burger itch we both had. We ordered using an electronic self-order kiosk and someone brought out our food after about 10 minutes. Finally, I realize the two kiosks and the ordering process is tedious and not really friendly for newbies to BurgerFi. $70 dollars later for two bottles of water, five piece chicken tender combo with an Oreo shake with cry+fry, one burger combo with soda with cry+fry and one burger no combo. FML that's some BS pricing. This is where I'm glad I didn't cave to tipping. Tables were dirty, trash was all around the trash area, three straws in the straw box.. when we were ignored the employees were just standing around nose into phone. During the long wait, I watched the front personally touching someone's burger to check it with gloves on okay good but then also scratching his head with gloves on. The kitchen lady digging in her ear looking at it, scratching her head and then digging in her ear more. I was glad to see she had nothing to do with our food that I know of. This is why I don't really want to look into open kitchens.... Food was mid, onion rings were fried to oblivion. They practically disintegrated upon bite. Makes you wonder why wings elsewhere get to be so dry and tough. The friendly staff remembered us from before. There was a constant stream of people come for takeouts. I wonder why more people still have not discovered this neighborhood gem. With their seating space, you can easily have kids birthday parties there! When I got home, an item (Cole slaw) wasn't in the bag(which I was charged) I called and spoke with the same lady I spoke with when I placed the order (Danielle). I told her an item wasn't in the bag. Initially she was apologetic. She asked what did I want to do. Whether I wanted to come back for the Cole slaw or take the loss. I responded due to the distance what I would like is for her to tell the kitchen staff to be more thorough. However, her response was "people make mistakes and hung up the phone". At no time was I disrespectful. She even mentioned similar things occurring the night before. I went back to get the Cole slaw and encountered Danielle. Again, she was dismissive and she stated "not liking working with customers like me" I then asked why because I'm black? She then stormed into the kitchen loudly verbally complaining about our interaction. I explained the situation to another waitress and asked if she would go to the kitchen to retrieve the Cole slaw because I didn't feel comfortable with Danielle retrieving my food in the kitchen after our encounter. Thank you to the waitress that graciously went in the kitchen for me. Although when she walked in the kitchen for my request, Danielle was heard yelling at the waitress stating she was going to call "Lisa". Due to this situation today, I may need to reconsider where I spend my money going forward. Respect doesn't cost a thing.
