It's been a while, so definitely time for a fresh review. While there's occasionally a small imperfection here or there, my sandwiches have been pretty good lately. The staff have a good attitude and the place is clean too. I'm liking the new Hot Italian, that pepper relish is awesome! I also go with the chipotle chicken cheese steak a lot, it's a nice hefty sandwich. This is the best sandwich chain around for sure. I also like that they support charities and such, on my last visit they were handing out coupons if you donate 1, 3, or 5 dollars for the Special Olympics. A good cause and a good deal. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a jersey mikes. Expected a 12:45 pickup from app order.. got it at 1:20. No apology. Got food home and it was nothing close to what was ordered. Returned it and they were not apologetic and offered nothing and actually had my order in a bag on counter. It was over an hour from when expected and even still the items were not made correctly. If there's 3 or more people in line already, you're going to be waiting close to 20 minutes to get out of there with your sandwich. If you order mikes way there's a good chance you're going to need to explain to them what that means. I said mikes way and just got lettuce. The sub quality is good but the staff is mediocre at best. They have one or two really good team members but the others are slower than molasses. A guy wearing makeup was just standing around behind the counter waiting for the meat cutter to finish yet their lettuce bowl needed a fill up as you could see the bottom and he chose to stare at the line of people rather than restock items during the downtime. The female cutting the meat is super slow no matter what task she does. Slow at cashing even slower at cutting the meat. She also had a headband under her hat that read "sage that shit." I'm pretty certain profanity on their clothes is not part of the dress code. read more

The service was good they were very nice. but the sub was way over priced and not that good, mediocre at best. I ordered a super club 12 in they put a little meat and a ton of lettuce on it and just threw some oil and vinegar on it, I ordered the sub and a bag of Mrs Vicks salt and vinegar potato chips and a bottle of water the bill was 22 dollars I will never again go to Jersey mikes I could of made the sub my self for cheaper. read more

It's ALWAYS freezing in the store. They get terribly backed up with online orders and grub hub, pushing in-person guests to the back burner. The layout is horrible, having to walk through the line to order to reach the end of said line. Pricey subs. We almost gave up when the meatball sub got removed from the menu... All that aside, we still enjoy eating here at least twice a month... until yesterday. We've dined in and carried out MANY TIMES since covid, never ever having worn any masks. Always someone different there to take my order, never forced to wear a mask. Yesterday I was denied the opportunity to order. Why only yesterday was my money not good enough? Why only yesterday did THAT employee decide that I HAD to wear a mask to order, when I was already standing behind plexiglass? Why was it yesterday that mattered, when last week they had a repair man behind the cooler with no mask on?? This was the straw that broke the camels back for us. We're always patient, kind, and thankful. We even leave a tip. We absolutely won't ever be back. We'll either find a Jersey Mike's in Wisconsin where politics don't rule the world, or go right down the road to Potbelly's where we don't get judged for our personal choices. read more

I had quite a run of good luck at this location for about six months. Then everything went haywire. First, they got an order wrong and gave me attitude on the phone telling me I was lying, when I was not. A few days later, I ordered a sandwich online, paid, then when I picked it up, they said, sorry, we used white bread instead of wheat, hope that's ok. No, someone in my family has an allergy to one of the ingredients in your white bread. Next day, I kid you not, 2 pm I try to order. Out of wheat bread. Call up and ask manager with glasses who is a pudgy kid when the owner will be in. Told I don't need to speak to him. Asked when will you make more wheat bread? Why does the app say no wheat bread? He says they have some in the store and to just come in. This is suspicious, why the discrepancy? Are employers committing theft of bread or sandwiches. Two days later I try to order online at 4 pm Wheat bread not available again. Call the store and ask when more will be made. They tell me they aren't baking anymore today. I ask why. He says they get in trouble if they bake too much. By this time you'd think I had learned my lesson. Ordered online yesterday. Completely different order was bagged than mine when I got to work. Couldn't leave work, got stuck with someone else's 30 dollar sandwich order for the whole office. I'm done. If this were my business, I would be really worried. I tip regularly here, too. Food work isn't easy. Also, everyone has the right to work, but I came in two weeks ago in person also and there was a woman who they had to translate my order for to make it they just hired. She couldn't understand what I was saying as I ordered. That's fine, as she has to make a living too, but she was confused while I tried to dictate the ingredients I wanted, and when I politely asked the manager to help her understand, I got major attitude from the guy in glasses. Poor woman, I felt bad for her. Other employees should not have to bear that burden. Walk in to grab a sandwich everyone looks but nobody said hello, welcome to Jersey Mikes or anything. Finally one of the three people working up front said hello. Someone said they are ready to take my order when I am ready. I give my order and the big guy nonchalantly (as if he is bothered) starts grabing multiple sheets of wrapping sheets. So Im standing there thinking ,ok at some point he will grab the bread and ask me how I would like my sandwich. He doesn't. He just continues to grab more sheets of wrapping. Final issue. Soon as a white woman walks in he excitedly says Hello! This guy had not opened his mouth at all when I walked in the door. He still had not opened his mouth to even ask me how I would like my sandwich. I told them I would not want the sandwich and walked out. Had another great experience at this location. Greeted by a very happy staff. I ordered 4 regular size subs. The employees were happy, the music was great, the service was friendly. I really enjoy this food franchise but this location is poorly managed. Me and my coworkers ordered sandwiches. One of my coworkers is lactose intolerant and his sandwich was ordered without cheese. He was given the wrong sandwich and when we called to let them know they argued with us and told us they were positive it was the right one. They were rude and offered no compensation and no apology. Best subs around, but very slow service. They need to keep people at specific stations, the girl making my sandwich had to take off her gloves to check me out. The man running the slicer was also trying to do the grill with another woman. I have no idea what the fourth woman was doing . He told us they were backed up on hot Subs to order a cold one. My wife and I went to lunch at Jersey Mikes, Round Lake Beach, IL today arriving at 12:20. Outside temperature was 37 degrees. Inside temperature was 60-65 degrees. As I paid for our sandwiches I told the cashier to tell the boss, that it is cold in here and if not corrected I will never come back. The cashier indicated that she also was freezing and would talk to the manager about the heat. We ate our lunch in about 40 minutes and the heat was never turned on. Please keep in mind that we were wearing winter clothing while eating. My experience, as an ex-banker, skimping on the heat, is an indication the restaurant has financial problems and the entity will shortly close. I will never, ever eat here again. read more

Very friendly workers here, smiley and chatty every time we have came in. Cleanliness issues need to be addressed such as employees not changing their gloves between customers, an employee was touching her phone and apron etc and then my sandwich. Manager remade our order the next day at no charge, did not receive a refund for uneaten sandwich's or coupons that were promised but he was apologetic at least. Hopefully they get it together as their food is really good. read more
