I really like the food at Jersey Mike's, the subs are a lot better quality than other chain sub shops. They slice the meat and cheese on demand as you order it. It's a bit pricey though but the food tastes better. You can get it "Mike's Way" which includes like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar and oregano, and that's what I'd recommend. The employees seem nice and are willing to have some small talk while they work. (This is probably because at checkout the credit card reader will ask if you want to leave a tip.). They accept Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Bruh I can't even with this place. Asked for a Philly without peppers. Fire whoever made this. 2/11/22 at lunch time.

Had the Club Supreme and it was very good. I've been here before and every time the hoagies were good. One caution for you first timers is that when they ask you if you want it Mike's way, which is lettuce, tomato, onion , mayo & OIL. They put a ton of oil on. Now I enjoy a bit of oil but my god its drenched in it. Just my opinion as to what is to much. Other than that I have no problem with their hoagie. I do like them very much.

I'm not a big chain guy. Meanwhile, when you need a quick meal there's nothing wrong with visiting a place like Jersey Mikes. This particular location impressed us with friendly service and a quick turnaround on orders. And, as you can expect the quality blows away places like Subway (yuck). Sure you'll pay more for a sub here, but you're getting quality and flavor, which a spot like Subway can't offer. Why come to Jersey Mikes? I can think of many reasons and better ones than just their brewed sweet tea is good. We ate here a few times for lunch while in town and ended up sticking to a few items: the Philly Cheesesteak, Meatball Sub and my favorite creation (they'll charge you for a standard three meat sub) a Turkey, Salami and Pepperoni with provolone. Try these three subs and this could be your regular lunch spot. And, remember you're going to pay more here, but that's the cost of quality, flavor and portions that will fill you up.

I'm never disappointed when I see a jersey mikes! These are like the Morton's of sandwich shops! Today I got a #9 and cup of French onion soup. I always feel good after eating here. If your looking for a killer sandwich that actually tastes awesome this is the spot!! This location in particular had a very attentive staff. Adam was awesome at helping us out. The bathrooms were clean and the dining room as well.

The Greek omelet was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The Pesto-Port Egg Sandwich was simple but absolutely delicious with a perfectly cooked egg and great pesto. The Balsamic Garden Avocado Toast was as beautiful as it was tasty, with fresh ingredients, creamy goat cheese, pickled onions, and a rich balsamic glaze. The Spicy Mango Sriracha grilled naan was incredibly unique--the sweet and spicy combination worked perfectly. The fresh-baked pretzels are a must-try! We took home several varieties, and they were warm, soft, and some of the best we've had. Even the latte and biscotti were excellent. On top of the amazing food, watching the staff handcraft and bake the giant pretzels right behind the counter added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the service was fast despite the café being busy. If you're in State College, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Fresh ingredients, creative menu, outstanding baked goods, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back!

It does exist and it's even better than how one might imagine based on the menu. We were warmly welcomed and sat right away despite being a little early. We were at a table that was kind of awkwardly blocking a doorway and my friend had to keep moving when people went through. No big deal. Maybe just not the best spot for a table (maybe turn it sideways). Our server was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks - I had a grapefruit spritz mocktail and my friend had a red that he really liked. To start, we had the charcuterie and the tartare. Both excellent. The tartare was so fresh and light with a little pop of spice. I had the trout and my friend had the short rib gnocchi. I was so jealous of his glutinous gnocchi but the trout was excellent. I'm not a bean person but the beans were so flavorful I could not help but to eat them. And then there was dessert. The affogato was perfect. There were a few ice cream flavors to choose from and we selected butterscotch. Highly recommend. The semifreddo. Don't let the garlic scare you. It blends well with the rich chocolate and the bright, juicy pomegranate. Try it! It's like nothing I've ever tasted before. Our server let us know they have brunch which will definitely be happening in the near future. Overall, the most perfect dinner from start to finish.

I ordered the lunch special: half of a sandwich and a cup of soup. Of course, I knew that half of a sandwich wouldn't be huge, but I expected more than three bites of food. It was $10, which did not feel worth it. Again, taste was not the problem, the honey mustard was delicious and the cheese was melted perfectly-- but I won't be ordering half of a sandwich again. I'd go back to buy the ham by the pound and make my own lunch at home though. Also wanted to mention that the store has a small rack selling Stonewall kitchen sauces, chutneys and peppers. So when Mom turned 90, we knew that HBH would be the perfect place to hold her surprise birthday party! Manager Jasmine and chef Kelly made the entire process easy and fun. The decorations were very festive, and the food was so delicious and fresh! There was an assortment of sandwiches, salad with garden-fresh greens, a veggie tray with homemade ranch and dill dips (with dill fresh from the garden!), and a tray with sweet, perfectly-ripe fruit. Everyone commented on how tasty all of the food was, and many of the guests asked for "to go" boxes to take home the extras. The staff cut and served the cake and ice cream. There was a generous amount of food, and the price was even less than we expected. Many thanks to Jasmine, Kelly, and the staff at HBH for making Mom's 90th birthday truly memorable and fun for everyone! Some places are worth building an entire adventure around. Penn State Berkey Creamery is one of…read morethem. As fate would have it, my Adventure Buddy and I found ourselves in State College on National Ice Cream Day, and there was absolutely no way I was leaving town without finally visiting the home of my favorite ice cream flavor ever...Monkey Business (banana ice cream, peanut butter swirl, chocolate chips). I'd fallen in love with Monkey Business last summer after trying it at an ice cream shop close to my house, but somehow I'd never actually made it to the Creamery itself. Correcting that oversight immediately became part of the day's adventure plan! We arrived around 12:30 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, fully expecting National Ice Cream Day to mean complete chaos. Surprisingly, it wasn't. Busy? Absolutely. But the line moved quickly, everyone seemed to know exactly what they were doing and the whole operation ran like a well-oiled ice cream machine. Then I looked around. Cheese. Sticky buns. Chocolate milk. Bagels. Ice cream. Ice cream. More ice cream. At one point I turned to my Adventure Buddy and said..."I could live here." Ordering couldn't have been easier. First, you tell the cashier whether you're getting a cone, bowl or shake and pay. Then you move down to the ice cream counter, where you pick your flavor. Finally...you wait for your number to be called so someone can hand you what can only be described as an absurdly generous serving of happiness. While I waited, I sampled the Grilled Stickies flavor. Big mistake! It was phenomenal! For approximately fifteen seconds, I seriously considered abandoning my beloved Monkey Business and trying something new. Fortunately...I came to my senses. Monkey Business and I have history together. When my number was called, the gentleman behind the counter handed me a bowl that was significantly larger than I expected. And yes...I audibly squealed. Again. Right there in the middle of the Creamery. I looked at him and said, "You absolutely made my day!" Because he had. We found a table outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather, performed a few completely necessary happy food dances and proceeded to enjoy every glorious bite of what is still, without question, my favorite ice cream flavor on Earth. For only $6. On National Ice Cream Day. Honestly, I don't know how that day could've gotten any better. PRO TIP: Don't skip the sample spoon! There are so many incredible flavors that it's worth trying something new before committing. Just be warned...you may accidentally discover another favorite! I also learned that Berkey Creamery ships ice cream to the lower 48 states. This information feels...dangerous. Living only about an hour and a half away, I probably don't need to have Monkey Business shipped directly to my house. But...I may have to test the process someday. You know...in the name of science! If you're anywhere near State College, do yourself a favor and make the stop. Whether you're a Penn State fan, an ice cream enthusiast or just someone who appreciates an exceptionally well-run small operation, Berkey Creamery absolutely lives up to its legendary reputation.
