Olde New York has great seating and a nice vibe to it. The service is nice and timely. A few of us went to lunch there and it was pretty good. I personally had the fish and chips that I enjoyed enough. The tilapia they used was good however, it was a tad too crispy (whether too thin of cut or fried a smidge too long). The fries weren't hot by the time I got them. I must include coffee cake dessert (shown) was very good! My friend said his little Italy (sausage) lacked a little flavor. My other friend did highly enjoy his burger. Overall, I'd come back because they have a variety of options and pricing isn't too bad.

We needed a place for lunch in State College where parking was not an issue. It was a pretty low bar. Olde New York passed the test. I didn't realize that the menu was severely German or I would have found another restaurant. However, things turned out better than I expected. There were non-German options, like the fish tacos I chose. My mate's Ruben was also pretty good. The service was good and prices reasonable. The dining room was severely worn from years of happy hour beer drinking by the college crowd. I'd do it again.

This time were dining light because we're heading to the Escape Room next door. I really enjoyed the Weisswurst dinner which was pretty close to authentic. The sausage itself was spot on. When dipping it in the mustard, it brought back some fond memories of Germany. It came with a side of potato pancakes and red cabbage, which where both slightly underwhelming. The pancakes was more like a 7-inch tater tots, but the spices were right. The cabbage was a bit, meh. Overall, this meal was strides beyond my last dinner at this restaurant. Things are starting to look up. I'll certainly give it another try in the future.

It appears Carrie B was the server. I will say it felt like she had no real interest in serving us. I understand being busy but it shouldn't take 30 minutes just to get the sodas that were ordered.

Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. My companion and I ended a late afternoon Williamsport visit/pub crawl at Riepstine's on a recent Friday. Fortunately for the other pubs, it was our last stop. Had it been our first stop I'm nearly certain we wouldn't have bothered going anywhere else. The pub was surprisingly quiet when we arrived at around 6 PM on a Friday but we instantly felt right at home. The bartender, Jessica, was super cool and friendly as well as being very beer knowledgeable. Knowledgeable, but not snooty or pretentious about. It was fantastic to have a beee conversation without feeling talked down to. I really don't like beer snobs and they seem to have multiplied like rabbits I enjoyed a flight of five selections and all were excellent. I'd had Riepstine's beers at local beer bars and enjoyed the opportunity to sample at the source. They brew a variety of styles to suit everyone from a middle-of-the-roader (me) to more sophisticated tastes. These folks clearly know what they're doing. Riepstine's is a bit outside "downtown" Williamsport and the exterior is unremarkable EXCEPT they have a nice outdoor area. The interior is simple, leaning toward a modern style, and really charming . My companion's first reaction was "Whoa! This is NICE" (and she has high standards). We didn't try the food but most definitely will be back to try what looked a tasty and accessible menu. I can't say enough about the service, as well as the incredibly friendly other folks at the bar. I can't wait to go back.

More kind and accommodating on the phone than just about any restaurant I've ever called. We came in like a half hour early, over the course of 20 minutes, cause we were traveling in multiple vehicles from ways away... I called ahead, but they said it was no problem at all. They were super helpful, I got drinks started while the rest of the party arrived. Ordered a bunch of appetizers... Mozzarella, sweet potato, waffle, fries, calamari... With like three different dipping sauces. Each of those was fantastic. Folks ordered burgers, chicken, cheesesteaks, traditional fair, like cottage pie, etc. Quantities were massive. Food was tasty. Many to go boxes were provided. The desserts were a surprise... I got my bread pudding to go. And then a few people got the lava cake and shared it. Great beer selection. Great cocktail selection. Great music on the speakers... At least I thought so, the Young'ns weren't as impressed with the sing-along Classics. Our server was beyond helpful, responsive, kind, accommodating,; probably one of the best I've ever had... Is that possible? Big party, I didn't check the details on the check... and the large party tip was included already. So I gave her too much cash for the tip, she stopped me on the way out and wanted to make sure I didn't screw up... Which I did. So she returned a couple bucks. But she earned every every bit for a tip yesterday.

I've been there a few times over the years, and each visit has been about the same: decent food, good drinks, and service that's friendly but sometimes a little slow compared to the crowd size. It's not exceptional, but it's steady, and there's value in that kind of reliability. The atmosphere is distinctly classic, with dark wood paneling, dim lighting, and an overall feel that's equal parts pub and old-school cigar bar. It's a little dated, but in a way that feels intentional--authentic to the town's character. You get the sense that a lot of local business deals and long lunches happen here, and that's part of the charm. The location is just off the main drag where most of the Carlisle festivals and events happen, which can affect how busy it gets. During downtown festivals, expect crowds, but otherwise, it's a good place to relax and catch up over a meal or a pint. Overall, Market Cross Pub isn't trying to reinvent itself--it's simply a solid, familiar spot with dependable food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that fits Carlisle perfectly.

This was my second visit to Dalicia -- my first was for dessert (which unfortunately didn't win me…read moreover), and this time my adventure buddy was set on giving their dinner menu a try. Menu unseen, expectations unclear...so off we went! Knowing from past experience that the restaurant can feel drafty, I arrived layered up and ready for a cozy-but-practical evening on a cold February night. We walked in around 6pm without a reservation and were seated without issue as we were the only two people inside other than folks working. We started with the flatbread appetizer (feta, spinach, artichoke, mozzarella, mushrooms, peppers, scallions, turkey pepperoni on flaky pastry - $8), and honestly -- this was the highlight of the night. The pastry was thin and crisp, piled generously with toppings, and finished with what tasted like a garlicky sauce that brought everything together beautifully. Light, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. In hindsight, I should have just ordered a second one and called it dinner while things were still making me do the happy food dance. For my entrée, I ordered the Turkey Pesto Crepe ($12.25), described as sliced turkey, mushrooms, tomatoes, provolone mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto. On paper, this sounded fantastic -- a combination that should have delivered distinct flavors and textures. Unfortunately, everything blended together into one uniform consistency, and the individual ingredients didn't stand out the way I had hoped. It wasn't inedible -- I just lost interest after a few bites because nothing felt memorable. My adventure buddy ordered the Sarma (Stuffed Cabbage) ($18.95), described as cabbage stuffed with beef, onions, and rice, served with potatoes (his choice instead of rice). Again, the ingredients sounded promising, but the overall experience landed in the "fine" category -- nothing wrong, but nothing particularly exciting either. The potatoes fell into the same space: acceptable, but lacking seasoning or personality that might elevate the dish. We paired dinner with Pepsi Zero ($2.25 each -- note for fellow Diet Pepsi fans, they don't carry it here). Total for the evening came to about $55 including tip. It may simply not be my flavor style, but I'm always glad to support local and try something new.

It's next door to the hotel and when we went it wasn't so busy that we were ignored but they staff were certainly being kept on their toes (Father's Day weekend, graduations, hotel guests...). They have both indoor seating (complete with a bar if you'd like to sit there) and a really nice looking patio area. The food was fantastic. Our server was great too; she was really friendly and helpful with recommendations. I ordered the reuben sandwich, which was deeeelicious. The salmon was apparently wonderful too, from what my partner said. And I ordered the macaroni and cheese from the kids menu but it was huge. My baby loved it and since it was so huge there was too much for her, so I had the rest at a later time. They had a really good strawberry lemonade, of which we (my daughter and I, because of course she had to have some) drank several glasses. Our server even brought me a to-go cup of it because she said it looked like we were slowing down and may be near finishing. I didn't ask her to bring me a cup of it to go, and wouldn't have thought to ask, so I was very happy she brought it for the rest of our ride to Cleveland. But perhaps my favorite part of the meal were the appetizers. We ordered some macaroni and jalapeño bites which were a hit as far as myself and the little one were concerned, with not too much heat that she could enjoy them. The restaurant has a Brussels sprouts appetizer, but they do it as an "of the week" special. The week we were here it was inspired by elote, so it had some corn and cheese and stuff on it and they were so good. I love Brussels sprouts, and will happily try them prepared in a new way. As of June 2026, I think they are short staffed. Our food took a little longer than usual but that was ok; it gave us a chance to chat and relax. Just be patient if you visit in the near future since they are down an employee or two! But even with that, it was a pleasant evening, the staff were fantastic and helpful, and the food totally hit the spot.
