This cozy Italian pizza joint definitely has the feel of a family-run spot. It's not a large place and probably seats around 40 to 50 people but it's warm and welcoming inside. I came with a friend who's been here before and warned me that the portions are no joke. He went with a small Stromboli (which still looked huge) and I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. Honestly, the spaghetti tasted better than it looked, and the sauce had a nice little spicy kick to it that I wasn't expecting. My friend loved his Stromboli, so that's probably what I'll go for next time. The service was great, very friendly and checked in on us often without being overbearing. Angelo's holds the distinction of being the only restaurant in our immediate area that I have never had a bad experience at. The food is always great, fresh tasting, and reasonably priced, and the service we have had has always been superb. We don't get there as often as I I'd Like. Warm greeting as we arrived. Specials for each day are bargains! Cozy dining room. The staff are helpful in explaining all specials and making recommendations. Naturally, the pizza and hoagie are my favorite! A traditional Italian sub with fresh deli meats and cheeses, and crisp vegetables can't be beat! A hoagie can be shared between two ladies. I love their cheesesteaks, the cheese they use on the pizza is amazing. Kind of inconsistent sometimes. they will give you a pick up time and then when you get there you continue to wait, and your pizza has definitely been sitting for a while because the cheese has gone from melty back to whatever that gross unmelty state that is. They definitely don't know how to cut something in half, so when my husband and I split subs I always take the smaller "half" because that's the kind of person I am ;) I wish I had Coke rather than Pepsi. Parking can be just awful because they own the restaurant on the left side as well. read more

Went here with my family. Ordered two pizzas and two pasta dishes. Food was meh. What was most bothersome about this place was the second pizza came out 40 min after our other food. Some guy came out and told us the had to remake our other pie but didn't say anything else. When we asked to speak with the manager, she was like "well, it's busy and you got your food didn't you"? Seriously lady? Your shop is not that good to host such a big attitude with your mess up. It actually makes me think someone should open another pizzeria nearby and deliver incredible service and great pies and maybe show Angelo's what is means to be a great pizzeria. read more

This was the most disappointing experience I have had at this restaurant. My family and I have eaten there many times, and it's usually good, but pricey. Unfortunately, my experience this week when I ordered pizza to take out was a disaster. When I called, I was told it would take 35 minutes. When I arrived 25 minutes later, the pizza was already finished, stacked with other orders. I took it home and was astonished to see that it was not fully baked, was actually cold with crust that seemed not fully worked. Had it not been late and a 5-mile drive to return it, I would have done so. Our company was not impressed at all and in fact, half of it was left uneaten. I later called to complain but there was no resolution. Don't patronize Angelo's. It's a disappointment. read more

Angelo's is our go to for good pizza around here, I especially love the white pizza! A little pricey but worth it, the servings are large too. I always get take out but I see people sitting inside pretty regularly, it has that typical old school pizza shop look. Service can be a bit slow on weekends and at dinner time, so expect 45 min to an hour wait or so but as long as you're prepared it's worth it. Asked to speak to manager Manager: "we're too busy to argue with you" Me: "ok was told 65 min and now it's 35 min more, that's ok?" Manager: "have you ever worked in a restaurant busy?" Me: "no I work in manufacturing" Manager: "I'd love to have that job" Me: "ok buddy, sure you would" 35 min later Me: "I'm back to pick up my pizza, was told another 35 min" Manager: "we canceled that order, you walked out" Me: "correct I told you I'd be back in 35 min and we weren't going to stand inside that entire time." Manager: "we canceled it" Me: "You've got to be kidding me, you're doing a great job as a manager" It's amazing the attitude I get from a manager when their employee was wrong. While I was standing outside one of the ladies that worked there helped someone to their car with their order and did t say a word to us about it being canceled. Can't wait to see if you actually respond to this, you're correct, I also gave attitude especially when a manager talks like that to a customer. There's only one thing this restaurant needs, a barf bag. I don't know what it is that people see in this place, but my husband and I have never had a worse meal in our lives. If I hadn't been so so hungry and hadn't already sent the food back once (they brought me chicken instead of beef), I would have sent back my so-call cheesesteak a 2nd time. Let me talk about the "bread" which most closely resembled a dried out hard pancake. It even looked like the bottom of a pancake on it's one side. I despise mayo on my cheesesteak and there was no mention of it in the menu description and there was gobs of it in my sandwich - was there any cheese, or was it all mayo, couldn't tell. Totally flavorless itty bitty meat portion, lettuce shredded like dental floss - the slice of tomato was the only thing acceptable. A bologna sandwich on white bread would have been preferable to this mutant concoction. Just writing this is making me nauseous. My husband ordered the soup and salad combo. He left behind the "roll", aka hard pancake, that came with it. The chicken and dumplings soup tasted totally canned. I can say that his salad was adequate. I won't waste much space here about the service - at times it was over-the-top cheerful, and other times we wondered where the staff was. Please be careful if you decide to eat here and make sure you've got a plastic bag handy. read more

Went here for the first time recently and I absolutely fell in love with this place! Their pizza is amazing! We also got a calzone and an appetizer and for all of that it was 30 bucks! They sometimes have little bands that come in and play for the restaurant. I loved the family atmosphere too - it's something you don't get a lot of anymore especially around this area! Food was outstanding and portion size was above expectations !!! we had wings to start they were huge got them extra crispy and hot great tasting buffalo sauce and not all breading .. reminded us of hooters wings. I ordered a turkey club and the colossal sandwich that came out was absolutely outstanding on garlic butter toasted bread. The fresh baked rolls and bread are absolutely great !!! Since the renovations, I have noticed the quality of the service has gone down. I even wondered if they changed ownership because there are many new faces and not as friendly as before. An hour wait for take-out pizza is common and no apology or explanation. The lady who answers the phone and "greets" you at the counter is not very nice and doesn't really acknowledge you until you basically insist she does. Today, we went in for lunch and she was waiting tables. She never brought us menus and never even looked our way. We left after we realized it was not going to be a good experience. While the space is much bigger and brighter, the renovations are on the cheap side. The new tables wobble and they are made of plastic. Looks like they were going for a rustic look, so they probably should have used real wood. While the pizza is good, I feel that the service has ruined it for me and I won't be a frequent patron. read more

The experience was so bad I got this app to save others both time and money . The service was really slow (it took 10 minutes to be seated.) After 40 minutes we were finally served our salads. 20 minutes after we got our pasta which seemed to be microwaved. This was a great spot for delicious food. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and remodeled nicely. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, the cheesy garlic breadsticks, and the large Stromboli which was huge !!! It comes with 5 toppings. The dough is homemade and delicious. We'll come back again. We're new to the area and we ordered a pizza last night. It was really good and that's what made us want to come back to try more. We'll be regulars here. read more

Food was great, got a larger pepperoni pizza that we enjoyed. As far as service goes, the hostess seemed hostile when we asked to dine in with our to-go pizza (since we were on the road). She continued to seat us while making sly and passive aggressive remarks while seating us. In terms of the ambiance of the restaurant it is very clean and has a nice dining room, however there is a probability that while you're eating you will overhear the hostess behind the counter talking poorly about you to the pizza chef while you enjoy a hot slice of pizza. If the pizza wasn't that good I would have given a 1 star. read more

I make better pizza from frozen, box brands. I got a regular cheese pizza with a couple of veggies on top. It was super underwhelming considering the praise that I have consistently heard for the place. The pizza was maybe undercooked and just bland. For the price it was absolutely not worth it. Arrived at 5:10pm. Had an appointment to get to at 6:15pm. Two groups of 3 came in after us. We told the waitress we had a time constraint and ordered our drinks, salad and pizza all at once. At 5:30pm we were informed that it would take "a little longer" due to a large takeout order. Would not have been an issue, but at 5:40pm one of the groups of three that came after us go two large pizzas. We still did not have our food by 5:50pm and had to leave to make our 6:15 appointment at the University. Paid for our salad and drinks and left. We eat here a couple times a month and the food is great. Will be back, but want management to know service was an issue. read more
