I've been a regular customer for over a year of Jersey Mike at Southwood buying over $1000 of sandwiches. Although they're a bit expensive they were worth it because ordering double meat only added about $4 - $5 bringing the total cost to about $18. On Friday I walked in and asked for the usual of a giant with double ham and prosciuttini. I happened to ask how they knew how much meat of each type to put on. She said they had a scale to measure 2.95 oz of ham and 1.3 oz of prosciuttini for a regular. Of course, I assumed she would double that amount since I had ordered a double. I like to get to know the people working there so I introduced myself and asked her first name. She said she was Shannon, and she was the new store manager. After ringing up the total I was shocked to see the amount was about $10 more than the $18 I had been paying. Thinking there must be some mistake I asked Shannon to tell me more about the bill. Shannon explained that extra meat, regardless of whether it's ham or prosciuttini, or whatever, is $2.65 for 2 extra slices. Shannon checked that her calculation was correct by contacting the general management of Jersey Mike which confirmed the accuracy of this transaction which you can see in the receipt attached. Shannon explained that the 'double' meat cost is 2 times the 'extra' meat cost. Since I got a double that's 2 times the extra charge of $2.65 which comes to $5.30 for 4 slices of ham and another $5.30 for 4 slices of prosciuttini. The thing is, I have noticed the regular sandwich has about 7 slices of meat. So how can a 'double' of 4 slices be the same as the 'regular' with 7 slices? Is Jersey Mike trying to tell me that $10.60 is the cost of the meat for a regular ham and prosciuttini sandwich which only contains 4 slices of each meat? As I said, a regular ham and prosciuttini sub has 7 slices of each. This doesn't make any sense. Next time you're at Jersey Mike and you're curious about how much meat is going into your sandwich, count the slices and find out for yourself, especially if you order extra or double meat. Or maybe you notice that your sandwich doesn't seem a thick as you remember it being before? Jersey Mike reminds me of another sandwich shop that went from 5000 locations in 2007 to 176 in the United States as of March 2022. I ask you Jersey Mike, is losing a $1000 a year customer over a few slices of meat really a sound business model? This type of penny ante, short range, micromanagement business strategy has a special kind of karma exquisitely tuned to your mindset, which will probably shock you as least as much as the last bill I will ever ring up at Jersey Mike. I get there with an online order and a worker points to the wall and doesn't speak to me at all and when I get my food my order was wrong and while waiting to get it fixed the same worker is taking someone's order and puts their finger up telling them to wait instead of asking to give them a second. Went to order subs because today Jersey Mike's Sun is donating 20% to charity. The service is friendly but still needs training. A little bit of mustard is 2 full lines. I was not asked if I wanted any thing on my Philly sub just wrapped and bagged. At this point I decided I'll put mayo on at home. No garbage can outside to throw rappers and bags away. I've had the time to write this review while waiting on my food that was supposed to be served at 11:39 for pick up it is now 12 and still no food I had to directly request three times that they just hand me my sandwich. I assumed the whole reason for a mobile pick up was a quick interaction. Not only did I ask for my food but when I did I might as well offended the queen and received a horrible glare to which I was just hopscotched over by the lady behind the register. I have been here once before and I want to preface this review with the fact that the General Manager has the best attitude and friendly service. I truly enjoyed talking to him. On my second visit, the staff was incredibly rude, arguing, and not friendly. As someone who has worked in the service industry for 2 years, I can understand being stressed. However, you can still speak to people with respect when you are stressed. I watched as a gentlemen who (based on this question) had either not been to a Jersey Mikes before or has not been to one often, he asked "Do I choose what goes on my sandwich?" and was belittled in response. Jersey Mike's in Southwood used to be my favorite place to order and then go and pick up. I haven't been in months now because I began noticing a slack in customer service and the food. The straw that broke the camel's back so to speak was the last day I went. Prices had gone up and they also incorporated SHRINKFLATION. The roast beef sub I ordered had two measly slices of meat! I stopped by this location, near Southwood, for a quick lunch today. Sandwiches were made quickly and tasted just ok. The cheese on our cold subs was warm, like it had been sitting out on the counter all morning. I ordered a kids meal, but wasn't given a cup for the drink. When I asked what came with the kids meal, the girl at the register mumbled something and walked away. They were out of unsweetened tea. The sweet tea was SALTY. It was hard to tell if this was an accident or a joke. Of the three employees there, only the one that sliced the meat and made our sandwiches seemed to be working and willing to help us. This is the second time we've gone there and will likely not return. In general, the food is so-so as is the service. read more

I ordered 3 sandwiches a couple of weeks ago. As they checked me out and were handling me the bag, I asked if all three sandwiches were in the bag. The employee continued to hand me the bag and I asked again. He nodded and I took the bag. After a 25 minute drive home, I found that I was missing a sandwich. I tried calling them, trying all four phone tree options but I could not get to anyone as two options gave me a message that the voicemail was full, one did not connect to anything and the fourth was a message about catering. I then filed a complaint on their website as I felt I deserved a refund for the sandwich that I never received. Someone from the corporate office called me and said that they would have the store manager reach out to me. I heard nothing. I then went back to Jersey Mike's a week later and the person I spoke to put in for a refund telling me it would take a few days to show up on my credit card account. Well it's been almost two weeks since that visit and no refund. It is obvious that this manager does not care about his customers. read more

I LOVE Jersey Mike's! The food is amazing, the staff is so friendly, it is always a great experience. What I don't understand is how I get overcharged everytime I come here. The website and menu board state that a chipotle cheesesteak is 7.85 but I've always paid more. I asked my friends who came with me today and they did not know if they were over charged because they weren't given a receipt. I've brought it up before to the cashier and he's offered a refund but today there was a line behind me so I didn't bother. read more

Our visit to Jersey Mikes was pretty good. It was pretty busy when we got there at 12:40 as should be expected. And the line moved pretty quickly. Especially considering that they slice all the meat to order. I had the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak and my wife and son split a giant Meatball. Both were tasty and hot. We had chips and a drink with our lunch. It cost 35.00. To me, I thought that was a little pricey for lunch considering two of us split a sandwich. And we are talking subs and chips and a drink. But I guess that's a sign of our times. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their biggest opportunity, IMHO, would be cleaning up in general. The drink counter was littered with straw wrappers and little sticky spills etc. The bathroom was not filthy, but messy. And as I was paying the door to the back room was opened several times and I could see a dirty floor with lettuce and other food strewn about. And a couple of empty boxes kind of shoved to the side and generally just what looked like a messy prep area. Again it was during the middle of lunch, but clean as you go was not happening in the back. Granted this area is not on display so to speak, but I could see it, so I'm sure others could as well. None of these issues were so bad that I wouldn't consider going back, but they are areas to improve. read more

I've been to the Jersey Mike's on Tennessee and enjoyed it. This just opened and maybe it's suffering a bit of newbie issues--but the sub I got was just 'ok'. The main issue was the bread was not very fresh. A sub on a crappy roll doesn't have a chance. Then it had tons of salt---just way too salty. I'll try it again--hopefully a bit of QA/QC will have come by and made some improvements. read more

This establishment does not pride itself on cleanliness. Instead they thrive on making money not concerned with how dirty things get. They reuse produce from the day before so the ingredients are not always fresh. The service is slow and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more
