Ordered two big kahunas. One was gluten free. I got home and ate the sandwich marked GLUTEN FREE. It was not good, not spoiled but very little meat and cheese. My husband ate half hour after I finished. He asked why the bread was not normal. The staff marked the wrong sandwich as gluten free. I had no idea. I called the store and it was like talking to a wall. Very unprofessional. Did not identify himself by name or title. Would not refund our meals. Cussed a lot. Did not care that I got sick from eating gluten because they did not label food correctly. He actually laughed when I told him that I got sick from the sandwich that someone there mislabeled. Just awful service and poor management. There should be real concern and education on proper food handling and the importance of getting things correct. I want a full refund. Unfortunately, Jimmy John's does not have a corporate number available online so I had to send a message. It's been 24 hours and I have not heard back. Will never ever eat at Jersey Mike's again. I suggest if you have food allergies that you strongly consider eating elsewhere where they actually take it seriously. read more

Husband and I went there on Saturday Dec. 7th, about 1 PM. I ordered a #17 Philly Cheese and he got the #56 ChBig Kahuna .. to go. The menu lists a few standard ingredients on the menu board and when the clerk asked if I wanted everything.. I assumed he meant did I want it "as it comes, as posted" and I said Yes. Husband said the same about his sub. We took them to go. As we sat in the eating.. away from the restaurant... we realized that we both got the same thing.. Philly Cheese Steak. (He had ordered Chicken (Big Kahuna) despite his having the 56 on the bag, he had a 17 inside. As we ate.. I found mine had both Jalapeño peppers and mushrooms on mine... Allergic to Mushrooms and I hate Jalapeños... so mine was a throw away instantly. The sandwich was rather soggy too.. and we had started eating them within 3 minutes of receiving them. His was bad too.. with the jalapeño peppers all bunched on one end and the mushrooms on the other end... making no sense. It seemed like we waited forever to get the food too... and others that had ordered Hot subs like us, got theirs before we did. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! I was denied service at 8:40 1 o'clock at night when they close at 9 PM Monday through Sunday. I called multiple times into the store to no service being helpful and was basically blown off by the customer service there I would like to report this to corporate, but I don't have their number and I've only ever had problems at this location. Every other Jersey Mike's location in Milwaukee and Waukesha has done a phenomenal job but unfortunately it's the one percent that Vons the other 99%. read more

Today I went into the Mayfair location for the first time and was horrified to see the way the employee was cross contaminating everything with unclean gloves. As a vegetarian I was very excited about trying out their portabella sub! But as I stood in line waiting my turn, I became concerned. The guy making the sandwiches cut the cheese on the same blade he was cutting the meat, and then without changing gloves after touching the meat, began reaching into the lettuce, onions and tomatoes. I was shocked to see it. I wanted to have a meat free meal, but the way he was cross contaminating the veggies with the meat on his gloves...it wasn't going to happen. When it was my turn to order I mentioned my concern about this cross contamination and the employee rudely moved his hand in a gesture like "hurry up" and stated to me he would get fresh veggies from another place like HE was annoyed that I'd even asked. It took everything in me not to match his energy. I paused, asked his if they cooked their bacon on the same grill that they cooked their mushrooms and when he said, "yes" I decided to leave. If you are a plant based eater, vegan, don't eat pork or just don't want meat in your lettuce when you order a sandwich DO NOT GO HERE!!! They don't maintain separation of meats and veggies and their customer service is HORRIBLE! This was my first and my last experience there and I will never go back. read more

Grabbed a quick dinner here Sunday night. My boyfriend said it would be similar to Suburpia...it wasn't, but still was good. As stated in the other reviews.... yeah they slice the meat for your sandwich right in front of you so its extra fresh I guess. Everyone seems to be really down on this location as far as service, but I had a completely different experience. Thought service was REALLY good. Both employees working were friendly and super efficient. I imagine because of how the subs are prepared..slicing the meat one by one like this might take a little longer than Subway or Jimmy Johns. The guy taking our order was super patient and helpful even though my boyfriend was being "that guy" that doesn't know what he wants/stands blankly looking at the menu for way too long. My sub was good, had the turkey Mike's way(oil, vinegar, and Italian seasoning) and my boyfriend had the Super on the cheese bread....tons of cheese baked on the bread and would definitely recommend it! After finding that this location is new and close enough for the work lunch we decided to go here. This in in a strip mall with a few other stores with parking that was really tough, no way all those cars were in the the few stores there. We ordered 7 subs with various toppings, some wanted extra toppings and some wanted to minus standard toppings. I ordered one hour and five minutes before I would arrive and I told the manager I will give you plenty of time for you to start the order but I still had to wait for them to finish the order anyway when I got there. My sub was perfect but four major mistakes were made and two subs were messed up. I called the manager who handled my order and explained that we have some issues with the order and he offered to fix them and bring over replacement subs but the guys were hungry and didn't want to wait and just dealt with them. I told the manager that we will give you a second chance but the subs have to be correct because once I leave I don't have time bring back screwed up subs and get replacements so he gave me his name and said he would correct today's experience on out next visit. Overall I don't understand how they serve a cheese steak with no cheese but they will get a second chance for the work lunch. read more

This place is all about gooey, messy goodness! Best of luck trying to eat a Jersey Mike's sub without slopping something down the front of you! But it's oh so good! Veggie wrap - super tasty! Philly cheese with chipotle mayo - OMFG! Even tuna sub = yummy! This location just opened so maybe that accounts for the excellent customer service but, despite being packed, you get your food fast. On my second visit, the manager remembered me (even my name!) from my first visit. Nice touch! It looks like most JM locations offer delivery, although this one doesn't. We ordered 25 box lunches for our team at work based on a recommendation from a colleague. I've never been and I always like trying a new place. Several of the orders were mixed up - I think they were just placed in the wrong boxes not made wrong, but with COVID-19, we weren't going to hand over a sandwich that we touched to the correct person. We reached out, not expecting much, but Jersey Mike's was ON IT. They went above and beyond to make things right. I heard compliments throughout the office about their sandwiches and I had to agree! Stopped in for a sandwich during lunch hour. The staff was extremely quick and beyond friendly! You could tell they enjoyed being at work, everyone had a smile on their face and one was even doing some charismatic funky tricks with the seasonings and toppings. The service far exceeded my expectations, as I have been to Jersey Mike's shops in the past and got the vibe that the employees were annoyed that they had a customer (super slow, on their phones pretending the shop was empty, overall unwelcoming). The stars are just for the excellent young woman who works here who's been doing this a long time and knows exactly what she's doing, is efficient and professional and speedy as hell. But some of her colleagues are not nearly so detail-oriented and the last two times we've been at this particular location, our orders have been wrong when prepared by these other colleagues. The first time, we were there in person and it was resolved quickly. But the second time, I placed an online order, I was very specific, had several subs in the order, and yet two were massively wrong which we only discovered after we'd gotten home with them. You shouldn't have to open up your $15 wrapped sub in the restaurant before you leave just to make sure it's been prepared accurately. And since I wasn't given the credit card receipt when I received my order they wouldn't do a refund for me and would only remake the subs in question, but I'd have to put down my own meal and go pick up the replacement subs. Very frustrating and I think we'll stick to the other locations in the area instead. read more

You really wouldn't notice this place, unless someone in the car is going to Starbucks or the spa near by and you want a sub. The cashier was really rude and had an attitude. Just slamming my poor bread on the counter. I ordered a number 10 ( reg tuna) and a reg philly (just onions and pepper. It was a little bit over priced for the size....but when I got into the car and took that first bite. It made up for everything that was wrong. I *hate* the "fun enforced by law" of twirling the oil and vinegar bottles, etc. - but the reason this review is negative is that the guy was SO engaged with his fancy tricks that he didn't pay attention to my order. I said "Mike's Way but hold the salt" - and he clearly heard me, because he launched into a comedy routine that involved him literally holding the salt in one hand while twirling the oil etc. in the other...and then was apparently so focused on his future circus career that he started to put the salt on anyway. He caught himself after maybe half the normal volume - but if he'd just been doing his d*mned job rather than trying to "entertain" me, I would have gotten what I ordered. Walked in at 4:45 and had never been to this sub shop and was told to walk to the back to order, OK but after getting to the back no one was there to take an order. Keep in mind there are 2 customers in the shop. I stood at where I was directed to be for 5 min. And was told twice that someone would be right with me? At this point I almost waked out! Growing up in the early 70's at 39th and Villard in Milwaukee, if mom didn't have time to make dinner she would hand me a few dollars and say, "Go get a sub." What she meant was, "Go to the back door of the supper club around the block -- the half-door; the top half will be open if the sub shop is open -- and get a sub." And off I'd go to get my dinner. I don't remember having lots of options, I'd just ask for a sub and they'd give me one. If there were any ingredients that I didn't like -- TOMATOES (I like them now) -- I'd just pick them off. Those subs set my taste expectations for life of what a sub was supposed to taste like. Many years passed since that flavor hit my taste buds. Subway (yuck), Cousins, Firehouse, Quiznos, etc., all presented amalgamations of their version of the original sub (an Italian; likely with provolone, ham, salami and pepperoni coupled with shredded lettuce and onion on a sesame-seeded split loaf sprinkled with oregano and drizzled with oil), but none of them quite hit the mark. Some of them even bastardized their subs further by toasting them. Blasphemous! Gold Coast and Suburpia came close to reproducing the original. Then Jersey Mike's came to town. I don't remember the first sub I ordered at Jersey Mike's -- likely a "stickball special" with most of the aforementioned ingredients -- but at first bite I was taken back 40 years to my first home on 39th and Villard. That taste was the taste I remembered from the subs we bought from the open top-half of the back door of the supper club kitchen! I love that. The original tasting sub (to me) is back in town. I don't care one bit that it's part of a franchise with more than 1000 stores in the United States. I've got to give credit where credit is due -- Jersey Mike's nailed it. I've been back numerous times and always love the taste of their subs. I've also been served by the warmest and most welcoming people every time I go. My visit to their store yesterday was exemplary. The behind-the-counter staff was engaging, friendly, and genuinely made sure that I was pleased with my food. Honestly, I left the business smiling. (It didn't hurt that they were complimentary of the shirt I was wearing -- I'm not above flattery.) So, Jersey Mike's, color me a fan. The only thing that would make you more original was if I bought your sandwiches from a split back door and had only one variety to choose from. Average sandwiches with mediocre service. On my first visit today to Jersey Mikes, the line was very long taking 20 minutes to get a sub along with the staff forgetting my order. I ordered the most basic sub, a veggie. They made 4 sandwiches before asking me why I was standing there blocking people. There was another gentlemen waiting longer for 2 wraps. The sandwich was average, but the service has me looking else where. I hope the owner reads this and adds staff, 4 people for a lunch rush is not enough, when you have to slice meat and cheese for each sandwich. The cheese and meat are still pre-packaged so the slicing is just for show. There are 2 Subways, a Cousins, and a Potbelly's with in 5 minutes of this location. It will be a long time before I try Jersey Mikes again. read more

My first experience at this establishment,the appearance reminded me of a deli ordered turkey sub. What blew me away was they sliced the meat right in front of me. Very GOOD! The sandwich which was all my choice was good. I have to try it again it was very fresh. Good location but they should be in the food court at the mall,there is nothing edible in that food court. Super gross. I've been here a few times in the past, and been extremely turned off by the employees attitudes. But have never let this bother me much as getting a decent sandwich is really all that matters. I've worked in food service, I understand that some or most days can suck the life out of you. BUT, that's not an excuse for the food to be disgusting. As of late the sandwiches are sloppy, the tomatoes look old, the bread falls apart, and to top it off everything is saturated in grease. Cold subs with no mayo and oil are ok (falling apart) but ok. But the veggie options of sandwiches or wraps come out absolutely dripping. Your healthier options should not be 1000+ calories and throughly wet with sauces, grease, melted cheese, and somehow even more liquid than those could possibly make. My wrap fell apart and the paper melded with the tortilla! This all for $7, and served with a nasty attitude. So if you are in a time crunch and want a cold sub served with an eye roll and some attitude, go ahead. But otherwise, go to Subway. read more

I walked into one of Jersey Mike's locations today to buy lunch for a few friends. I ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips, and 2 medium sodas, and ended up with a total of about 35 dollars. That's over priced by quite a bit. The sandwiches are fairly decent, but when you're competing with Cousin subs, and Jimmy Johns, the quality is roughly the same. So, out of all 3 places... Jersey Mike's is the most expensive, but without a higher quality of product. All in all... not a big deal. What had me standing at the register in surprise was the fact that before I could pay for my over priced food with my credit card... A sign popped up on the screen asking me how much I would like to tip my sandwich maker. Then it listed $5, $10, $15, $20, $25... Seriously? You think people should tip a fast food restaurant sandwich maker 25 dollars for doing his damn job? What the hell is the matter with you? That's like going to McDonalds and being asked to tip the burger flipper. It was seriously seriously offensive. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a good tipper. I always slip the pizza delivery guys 10 bucks, and I tip my waiters at restaurants just as good, but that's because they work in a service where tipping is REQUIRED. I gave the sandwich guy 3 bucks, just because I felt guilted into it, and because of that I'm never going back. I'll go to Jimmy Johns from now on. Their subs are bigger, better, and more reasonably priced... and as a bonus... The register doesn't PAN HANDLE. read more

I really love jersey mikes subs but the problem is actually being able to get a sub. My son worked at the Mayfair location and that is how we fell in love with the subs but we have gone in there 4 different occasions only to wait in line for 15 to 20 without anyone even saying I will be right with you. Not the tightest run ship to day the least. Each occasion at lesdt 5 other people walked out with us grumbling the same thing. Love the sub but service is very sub standard.
