I like the food here but not for the high price. We ordered 2 "Little" Cheeseburgers (which means a single patty) at $9.19 ea, 1 Little Fry for 5.19, and two small/regular cokes for 2.99 each. All of this came to $32. That is just too high a price for me when I can get the same cheeseburger meal for two elsewhere for under $15. Having said this, I did like the flavor of the burger, and the fries are tasty but not crispy. I understand this is their style, which has good taste, but they are too greasy for me. There are salted peanuts for you to grab while you wait for your order, and these are yummy. The location is in Mayfair Mall, with an outside entrance which is nice. As I started to think my cheeseburger from Five Guys for the $8 I thought it's getting long in the tooth from when they first opened. Today burgers are very popular and lots of choices are available today and you can get a really good burger or a craft burger for around the same money or a little more and some come with frys. Since I was at the mall it was convenient to just stop over with out seeking out one of those really good burgers places. The cheeseburger is good for fast food convenience and it's cooked fresh to order. My cheeseburger was topped with ketchup, raw onion, lettuce, tomato and pickles to keep it simple. The toppings were fresh and the bun was soft with the fresh cooked beef and I liked how the toppings are chilled and the beef is warm. I will probably have another cheeseburger In the future from here but I will have many from other places before that because all the choices that exist today. read more

The food at 5 guys is great! I have been here a few times and it's always consistent. It is a little pricy but quality cost money and nothing is frozen, all fresh beef and fresh fries! Pretty good meat, done well. And the fries are OK too. But not $30 worth for a burger and fries lunch. I gave it a 3 not only because of the pricing but the music was so annoying I couldn't wait to get out of there. Any other Five Guys I would give 4 stars because I feel like the food is delicious and worth what you're paying for. This Five Guys gets 5 stars because of all of that, but mostly because of the employees. So this review is simply about the service, since I feel like the food is the same across all locations and definitely of a higher quality than most fast food burger joints. We live nearby and probably go to this location once or twice a month. I have yet to have a poor experience interacting with the staff. We go all different times and all different days and every single time the staff is polite, helpful, talkative, and seem to genuinely care about your experience that day. There are always plenty of employees and they are all itching to help you. A manager or supervisor has always asked me while we were eating in the restaurant if everything was as we had ordered and if it tasted alright. Occasionally they've also asked if they could get us anything and would drop off napkins or condiments. There's always been at least one employee in the dining area constantly cleaning and asking customers if they could dispose of their garbage for them. I would go to this Five Guys for the food as it's excellent as always. I will SPECIFICALLY seek out THIS Five Guys because of the staff and the pleasant experience I've always had there. Living in the past Let me start by saying I really do like Five Guys. It's been some time since I've been here, but they offer up a great burger. That said, the place is decorated with signage that is dated years back. Your burger was great in 2008, but how does it compare today? For a chain burger, it's far better than the others. But today there are many local offerings which I'd rather devour. For lunch I spent just under $15 for a double cheeseburger, "small" fry and a soda. In hindsight, my belly would have been overjoyed to devour $15 in AJ Bombers or Merriment Social brgr. It's ok. Not my favorite. Burgers are good, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. A burger, fries and soda will run about $18. If you like lots of toppings, then this is your place, you can get a variety of toppings for no extra charge. They're also generous with their fries because of "the dump": you'll get a cup of fries and then an equal amount of loose fries in the bag that come close to the container size. The fries have the skin on, and they must make them from scratch, because you'll find bags of potatoes near the register. They generously salt them, and when they come out crispy they're good. When they come out limp, not so much. They also have large bins filled with complimentary peanuts in the shell. Something to snack on while you wait for your order. Cool right? Remember a few years back when the world was creaming it's collective pants over Five Guys? The hype has died down, but you can relive the fun by visiting any Five Guys location which will be plastered with glowing reviews from such media stalwarts as the Wake Forest Gazette extolling the delights of the "Best Burger of 2009". Seriously, its probably time to update some of those signs. Anyway, for a chain burger Five Guys is pretty tasty. There's only a few things on the menu (hot dogs, grilled cheese and the burgers) so were ordered burgers and fries - because the name isn't Five Guys Grilled Cheese. I like that you can customize your toppings and that everything is made to order. The people that work at this location were actually pleasant and friendly, a rarity in fast food. My burger? Definitely above average in quality and decently priced at about $6.50 for a 1/2lb burger (burgers are two smaller patties though the menu doesn't really tell you that). Fries? Ehhhh...I'm in the camp that thinks Five Guys fries aren't anything special. They do give you WAY more than you need - a regular easily serves 2 people. They've also got one of those nifty soda machines from the future where you can make all types of different and disgusting drink combos if you so choose. Overall - Five Guys is pretty good for a chain burger place. But you shouldn't really eat here all that often because you'll die. The end. read more

Carried out some burgers and Cajun fries the other day. First time here. The Cajun fries were super spicy, almost too spicy (I love spicy food). Since we had takeout, they were a little soggy by the time we got home. A soon in the air fryer crisped them up. Portion sizes of the fries were crazy. Ordered the large size to share between two people. Bad idea. There were way too many fries for just two people. Seriously, order the smallest fries. Next time I know better. The burgers come with two patties and almost unlimited free toppings. One burger gave me two full meals. I had the bowl because they do not offer gluten free buns, just a lettuce wrap or the bowl. The burgers were cooked medium well. The meat was juicy and seasoned well. The toppings were very generous. Five Guys would get four stars if they offered gluten free buns and decreased the spice level of their Cajun fries. If I'm in the area, I'd stop again. read more

Pros: It's in a mall; You can grub up on your way to foot locker. It's a pretty good fast food burger. They don't nickle and dime you for add ons and condiments. They have crayons so you can write immature things about friends and hang naughty drawings on the wall. Cons: It's in a mall. Unless you need to go to foot locker, it's horribly inconvenient. I have never received great service here. One time it took 30 minutes to get my food. When it comes to burgers and fries, make no mistake, Five Guys Burgers and Fries is solid. Chain or not, in any city's Best Burger competition, they deserve at least an honorable mention. My regular cheeseburger, regular fry and regular soft drink was two cents short of $14. I left $1 in the tip jar and my investment is $15!! Now one thing Five Guys doesn't do is make you feel ripped off--they do give you free peanuts and even a "regular" fry is more fries than one person can eat. HOWEVER, there are places in The Mil where you can get a burger of similar quality and a few less fries for seven bucks. At these few places, you can even add a beer to your meal and come out spending under $13. Perhaps it's because Five Guys was founded out East where everything is more expensive. FIVE GUYS gets FIVE STARS Okay so, I've had Five Guys previously, and was satisfied, but after going there on pretty decently busy Tuesday, I'm blown away! Laid out in black and white (and red ;), even if you are not sure what you want, you should be able to decide very quickly, choose something to put between your buns, choose condiments, fries? Drink? Yes, please! This is great given the complications we are faced with day by day. As me and my lovely companion were standing in an ever growing queue, i couldn't help but notice how friendly the young lady at the counter was. This is very nice because, when the hell was the last time you walked into a fast food restaurant and something that caught your eye was how nice and happy the employees were? Having pride in ones work is not something that usually goes hand in hand with fast food, or even full-service restaurants for that matter, this was a breath of fresh air to say the least. As we were helped by the aforementioned bright young gal, we shared a couple laughs and were not rushed, but helped in a fast and efficient manner. Working in a kitchen is hard when its busy, and its even harder being so nice and friendly to every single customer, but that's exactly what we received and exactly what we observed as given to every patron. After a five minute wait we received out boatload of fries, Cajun style, cooked to perfection, a bacon cheeseburger and a hot dog. Fries, obviously freshly cut, as noted by the 20 or so bags of potatoes sitting on a rack in the lobby, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Love that they fill the bottom of the bag, generous portions are hard to come across nowadays. The burger, a little one, can hardly be called little. Every ingredient freshly cut and placed on a fresh juicy burger patty, bursting with flavor. The hot dog, ordered Chicago style, with the same fresh ingredients, was sliced in half like id never seen before. It was like they made a burger out of a hot dog, it was awesome! The only thing i don't like about this place is that its so far away! Ive been to the one on Oakland several times and it comes nowhere near comparison to this little gem of a burger place! I first read about Five Guys several years ago in GQ, where they noted the franchise as the fastest growing burger chain. I've stopped in for their delectable double patty burgers several times in various locations. For a big chain, they're probably as good as you'll get. There's nothing overly special about the place other than that all burgers are cooked to order, and the myriad amount of toppings you can add. Note: avoid the lettuce (This reviewer enjoys bacon, tomato, grilled onions, and pickles with a dash of A-1) and build at your own risk - the burgers fall apart the more you add. I should note the fries are pretty tasty -- add the Cajun seasoning if you're looking for a blood pressure spike. Overall, I'd rather nosh on Sobelman's, AJ Bombers, or Kopps (among the many other Milwaukee options) but in a fix Five Guys will do. read more

Just as the eruption disrupted centuries of Roman art and culture, this ungodly amount of condiment on my burger was a grave distraction from what is normally excellent quality beef and fresh ingredients. My boyfriend and I drove to Milwaukee for Summerfest this week, and neither of us have had Five Guys before. We decided to stop and grab food at this location before leaving. The staff was extremely friendly! Really enjoyed the staff at this location, they set an example of a vibe all restaurants should project. I know they purposely give you bag fries at this chain, but it seems like they hooked it up for us especially. The burger was amazing, delicious and fresh. We didn't know that the normal burgers are a double, so the "little" version definitely would've been enough with a medium fry!! It ended up being a little expensive, but if you're smart and know the portions you can get out of there full and satisfied at a decent price. Everything is truly made to order, so the fries were the best I've ever had! All I can say is I'm glad they don't have one in Waterloo, Iowa because I'd be their number one customer! read more

Went to 5 Guys in Mayfair, ordered a couple burgers and a large fries ($5.00). We got our order and there was a small amount of fries in the normally overflowing cup and no extra sack dump. I thought that they may be cutting corners and eliminating the sack dump but decided to watch the fries guy to see if he was making the dump..
