Date of visit: July 14, 2025 We love Raising Cane's but honestly we rarely find ourselves out in this area that it makes sense to stop here and often after a long day at work, driving another 25 minutes just doesn't seem to be in the cards, no matter how much we enjoy the chicken strips! This was our first time since the soft opening and the location is still in good shape. Everyone coming in gets a welcome, even if it's a bit too quiet and from a bit too far away for most folks to hear it, as most of the patrons I observed come in from my spot by the door seemed oblivious to the greeting. Bonus points for single occupancy bathrooms, too! The Texas toast and chicken was as good as always and I am not a big fan of their fries, the Cane's sauce helps me get them down my gullet. I wish they were a bit more crispy, but that's just my taste. The sweet tea was on point as always, and really the only issue we had was that we asked for our order to be dine in but we still got it in a foam container and a plastic bag which is such a waste. We recently visited Raising Cane's at their new location during the soft opening. There's been a lot of hype about this place in Wisconsin, and I know people who have even driven to Madison just to try their chicken. For me, the chicken, while flaky and well-cooked, was a bit bland. I expected the famous Cane's sauce to add more flavor, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The fries were crispy but overly salted. However, the Texas toast was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite the place being packed with a line stretching down Capitol Dr, they handled the crowd like pros. I'd definitely go back, if only to support the hardworking crew! The building was beautifully done and had eye catching decorations! I will admit I am not a huge fan of fast food and that may play into my review. I was able to try the raising cane combo menu with a variety of different options and choices to choose from between chicken sandwich, tenders and toast, adding more sauce or fries or toast. The food was very fresh and the service was really friendly welcoming me into the restaurant as I walked in to provide even a happier experience. The decor had three twirling disco balls in the eating area which was cool too! Overall good experience and would def like to try it again! read more

I was there for the VIC event, and overall pretty satisfied with my experience. The employees were happy and cheerful, my food was hot and tasty, and the line was moving pretty quickly. I ordered the chicken strip combo, and the chicken sandwhich. The chicken strips were crunchy and delicious. The sandwhich wasn't great...unless you are craving more bread- just stick to the chicken strips. It was a generous portion of fries with the strips, not so much for the sandwich. There was only a little cane's sauce on the sandwhich- thankfully we had the container of sauce for the strips. We will check it out again! read more

The staff did a great job handling the rush of people! This place runs like a well oiled machine! Despite the lines, food came out fresh and hot! I've heard such good things about Raising Canes and the chicken did not disappoint. Usually I don't opt for sugary drinks, but the lemonade looked fresh and it was definitely worth it. First timers to Raising Cane's and we had no idea what to expect so we took it all in by eating inside. Today was the soft opening/training day by invitation only and all staff was working. And the noise was high; music, customers ordering and talking, staff talking and yelling questions and answers and a lot of visual stuff going on. There was no conversation for us because of all the noise. I wonder if this will be true on a normal business day The menu is short but the chicken is great quality. No shortcuts on that. The secret sauce is really good and different and I was able to learn it has a mayo and ketchup base but nothing more. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned and the garlic butter bread yummy. The bill for our 2 combo meals was $24 and I don't know how a family of 4 can do this. But they do have a kiddie meal for less. The drive through is helpful because there doesn't seem to be much parking unless you drive into the neighborhood behind the store. It was a nice change of pace for us but with everything fried I know having this too often will not be great for my health. But my stomach and tastebuds may overrule that. First and last time ever going here. Put in an online order for curbside pickup. Was given a time of 6:13pm for pickup. I got there at 6:25pm to give them a bit of time to complete my order. Clicked the "I'm here" and even called into the store per the sign at the curbside pickup. Rang for a while but someone finally picked up. Gave them my name and they said someone will be out shortly with my order. I was patient enough to wait a full 25 minutes and no one ever came out with my order. We had to try this place after reading the hype, but Raising Cane's is some of the worst fast food I have every eaten. They must have a hardworking marketing team that is somehow making them an internet sensation because the food was not good. The chicken was ok- your average, highly processed fried chicken. There's better across the street and on other corners. (If you want the best in town, I recommend Dairyland at 3rd Street Market - franchise that!) The fries are bottom of the barrel. They tasted like the non-salt fries you would buy at Kroger. No wonder everyone dips them in the fry sauce, they desperately need it! Cluvers, Wendy's and McD's are all much better. Finally, the drive thru was painfully slow, which is astonishing for a restaurant that has three things on the menu. Tip to RC's leadership: your fryers should be running at full capacity during rush hour. You don't need to wait until an order is received to cook another order of fried chicken when there is line out your door. But I suspect that will all change once everyone tries this place once and then never returns. read more

The only reason there is a 3 star is NOT due to this location, but that my son like's the chicken (not sure why, but he does). Someone really needs to wake up and smell the "chicken". When we arrived the d/t was 15 cars deep - which is fine as the d/t is for lazy people. Anyway - when entering the tables were all very messy, as was the floor. Looked like the garbage needed to be taken out, too. The Tea fountain drink machines looked as though someone would get very SICK of they drank. 2 good things - ordering inside was fast and the food came out fast. 2 EXTREMELY disturbing PROBLEM - almost health department level - 1 bathroom had ZERO hand soap. NOT even a dispenser. The second - not only was there no toliet paper and toweling - but the bathrooms looked like ones you might find at "summer Fest". Made my first visit to a Raising Cane's establishment in Brookfield Wisconsin. This outfit is new to Wisconsin and this store has been open for about two weeks. I arrived at about 11:00 am, there were two people that had placed orders before me. Had a Popeye's vibe, lots of staff, noisy chatter, dining area very loud music playing. Order was taken quickly, the "Caniac Combo". The order contained 6 chicken fingers, 2 containers of sauce, a piece of Texas toast, fries, coleslaw and a fountain drink for about $16. Considering the number of orders inside the restaurant, it took an inordinate amount of time to get the food. I actually had to ask for what appeared to be my order sitting in the order window. Initially I was given a bag containing a box and since I had said I was dining in, I asked if this was my Caniac combo. Was told yes, but I was sceptical because what looked like a dine in order was sitting in the window. When I got to my seat, luckily I was eating in, and opened the box I found it contained about 20 tubs of sauce and nothing else. Returned to the counter and was given the order I had suspected was mine. As for the food, the chicken fingers appeared to be real chicken tenders, nicely coated with a crisp batter. The batter did fall off the tender as it was handle and did not have a distinctive taste like you'd find with Chic-fil-A or Shake Shack chicken piece. It was good but not special. The sauce, not sure what it was, had a sweet slightly tart taste, somewhat reminiscent of ranch dressing. The piece of toast needed to be better toasted, coleslaw was fine. The fries were crisp but unsalted. I mentioned this to a staff member who stopped by the table to ask how everything was. It was a bit ironic since a sign advised that their fries were freshly salted when taken from the frier. I was offered replacement fries but I turned down the offer since I dislike wasting food unnecessarily. The restaurant was clean, a staff member roamed the eating area cleaning as patrons left. Overall, staff was friendly and accommodating, food was ok. I guess the most important thing to convey is that this business has a very limited menu. Will I go back again, yeah. As far as service it's a better option than Popeye's, food choices not so much. read more

I tried Raising Cane's for the first time. I always noticed a decent line and full parking lot so thought it must be good, and I would give it a try. It was about 7:45 a night and there were only 4 cars in drive thru at that time so figure it wouldn't be a long wait. I was wrong. I learned that their lines are long because service is extremely slow. I was in line 25 minutes with 3 cars in front of me and all I ordered was a 3-piece chicken strip meal. When pulling up to window I saw about 10 works standing around doing nothing but goofing off. When I received me food the chicken and fries were both soggy and the lemonade was very watered down. I will never go back and recommend you avoid. There are a lot of better options out there for fast food. read more

I know it's busy right now but check on the soda machine. My first soda was a sprite and it tasted like Seltzer water. The second time I came the sprite was weak. So I changed to an orange and it's weak. Now my visits are weeks apart so this is an ongoing thing here. Get it right people please.
