I've gotta give props to Brian & Sebastian at this location - these two guys were really hussling but doing so in a way that wasn't panicked! I go here a few times a year. Always was happy. Today, not so much. I asked for my sandwich and all was well. From what was going on behind the counter I could tell they had some orders before me so I played on my phone. Before I knew it they brought my sandwich to the register. Surprised, I asked if they made it without me looking. The girl agreed. I asked if they followed my specifications and she said yes to all I said but obviously had not because she went back to fix it with a huff. I paid and left. When I got home I dug into my sandwich and after a bit found a long dark hair. The girl who fixed the sandwich had dark hair. I have blonde hair so I know this hair was not somehow mine. I called the store and they offered to refund the sandwich. That's fine. I care more they know about the problem. The gal I talked to on the phone couldn't find my ticket or record of my purchase. I offered her my cc number but said she could look it up with shore point so I gave her that. No luck. She said next time I come in I can have a free mini. Okay but I doubt I'm coming back so whatever. When I got off the phone I checked my bank account and sure enough it says I paid at their store. Jerseys bread always seems like it's day old, don't know if they make their bread fresh everyday or not but I doubt I'll go there anymore. My family and I usually love Jersey Mike's but this one is absolutely terrible. I know we have a pandemic going on right now but that's no reason to treat customers poorly. We walked in to order sandwiches and weren't even welcomed and we had to ask to be helped. Mind you there was no one else inside but the two workers!! Here's the worst part!!! The lady when we walked in but her mask back up because it was down while she was making other sandwiches. When she was checking us out she had no gloves and her face mask was gone. I went in 4 minutes before they closed and I must say, the employees were very friendly, I wish they were wearing name tags so I could really shout them out but it was a Hispanic guy on the shorter side, a tall white guy with curly hair, and a tall girl with curly hair. Seems like every time I go here they get my sandwich wrong. They make your sandwich at the same time as others so they don't pay attention to what you want. They ask you to move to the register to pay before your sandwich is finished being made so you can't watch if they are doing what you ask. When this location first opened they were on top of things. For at least the first month. Since then it seems management has been missing. I've sat in line with no one in front of me while several employees are behind the counter all doing various things except making sandwiches. Not hot sandwiches, not catering or online or phone orders. Just menial tasks all the while I stand sometimes for an awkward silence of 5 or more minutes without even being acknowledged. They seem to overlook putting out the lemon wedges quite often. When I asked about lemons I was just told "there aren't lemons today". Really? Or are you just too lazy to get them.
