Guy#1 sliced the meat and put each slice on the counter, Guy#2, opened the bread, added tomatoes and mayo, and peeled the meat off the counter and onto the sub. That's when they told me they dont have any heating device( no oven. no toaster). Afte #2 wrapped sandwich, #3 put it in bag, tried to upsell and rang me up. At Jersey Mike's they cut the meat when you order so it hasn't been drying out in the case from being precut and packaged. The staff were cheerful and friendly. Was a favorite of mine but last few experiences haven't been great. Delivery order was missing items so I reported through their website and requested a credit for the missing items. That was over a month ago never received any response or credit. Ordered today through the mobile app for 15 minute pick up. Went into the store and waited another 15 minutes beyond the expected time while watching two lines of people come into the store and leave with their food. The staff seems like it was everyone's first day. Nobody knew what anybody else was doing. Not sure what's going on, but it seems like things have gone downhill. Terrible experience. Called in for a takeout order consisting of 3 whole subs with Jersey way - no onions. Requested asap as I was only 15 minutes away. When I arrived within 20 minutes, they could not find my order. After spending 5 minutes they realized they had not started them yet. As I was watching the sandwiches being made, I noticed the team member was spreading raw onions over the sandwiches. i reminded him I ordered No Onions. He was like, it's too late, I already have them on there. I asked him to remove them and grudgingly took them off. I felt like I was the bad guy for wanting what I ordered to be correct. Worst SERVICE ever. Young larger man with glasses was beyond rude to us and me for the 2nd time coming now. I'm super excited that we've got a Jersey Mike's in the 'burg now. IMHO it far exceeds the other FF sub chains in terms of quality, particularly for the cold cut subs. My experience here was nothing but positive. Prompt and friendly service, good food. I had the #2, and a regular sub by itself was plenty to fill me up for dinner. All the meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot and the vegetable toppings are fresh. From talking to the line associate preparing my sub I found out that this is the same franchise owner as the one who owns all of the Southside locations. However, over time I've noticed the quality of the food and service has been dropping. Today I ordered the Big Kahuna cheesesteak. Every bite I took was followed by me removing some gristle or fat from my mouth. This is not the first time, but it will certainly be the last time. This is twice now I've felt compelled to write a negative review. I promise it will be the last. I tried to order online. No success with either Yelp or their website. I called my order in and was told fifteen minutes. I arrive and stand there while they take care of the the two people who came in AFTER ME, then ignored me for a few more minutes. The food is what you'd expect, pretty decent but nothing to write home about. What I am writing about is the service. Aside from an oddly long wait when there's nobody in front of me, the masks are an issue here. When I walked it all three guys had masks on, sort of. The one guy on the phone had it down around his chin while leaning over the meat fridge. Not smart as he is over food and right kn front of customers.
