Lorna warned us not to eat too many of the snacks before and to save room for dinner. We got salads with blue cheese which was homemade. You can really appreciate a homemade dressing because it was thick and flavorful which made the crisp greens even better. I had a kettle one orange cosmo which was perfect. Not too much alcohol and shaken to perfection. There were many cocktail options and a great selection too of wines to choose from. Hubby tried a Negroni but didn't love it. (Didn't care for the gin) I asked for a different bourbon manhattan and they didn't charge us which was super nice of them. I had my New York strip medium with a baked potato. Hubby got the porterhouse also with baked potato and a side of broccoli. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked for them. They came with a tray of sour cream, fresh bacon bits and chives for our baked Potatoes. So nice to have that service at the table. We were too full to order dessert, but Lorna brought out a small dish of ice cream a/ brownie and a candle to sing for hubby's birthday. It didn't have any flavor. There was no butter/garlic butter or even stalk and pepper to taste. We could hear the waiter behind us telling the other table "watch it's a hot skillet" ours wasn't even warm. The waitress had us use the bread butter and salt and pepper on the table to season it and the butter didn't even fully melt the butter. It was just not the experience we were bragging to people about. If you're going to spend $60 on a steak, this one's not it. Unfortunately at the time I'm writing this we went to a different steak house about 8 mins away. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Will be going there for date night next year.

We started with the bread assortment, which included flatbreads, rolls, dipping sauces, and butter. We also tried the fried artichoke leaves--they were perfectly crisp, tender, and delicious. For my entrée, I had the branzino with crispy skin, and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of lemon, herbs, and capers worked beautifully, and the fish practically melted in your mouth. They just opened and are still working out a few of the inevitable kinks that come with a new restaurant, but when it comes to the food, they absolutely hit the bullseye. I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Not too sweet and you can taste the mint. My husband got the Oaxaca old fashion which he said was good. The ceviche's presentation looked disappointing but the flavors made up for it. The sauce was very flavorful and complimented the mahi mahi very well. My husband said it was the best ceviche he's ever had For entrees I got the 10 oz picanha. They actually give you two pieces of steak and I took the other one home. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with great smokiness. The green beans were a little salty. The yuca was good. My husband liked the filet but I think the picanha was better. Out of all the sauces we chose the chimichurri sauce which complimented the steaks very well. Service was really quick and attentive.

It was delicious! I wish the tacos had some kind of sauce on top, maybe like a chimichurri sauce? The service was pretty good. The inside set up is a bit wonky and sometimes the sun comes in through the windows blinding you. We had to move tables. I'd go back!
