Walking into Boychik's Deli feels like stepping back in time. It's an old-school, cozy, very much like a classic 1970s deli. It has been around since 1990, and it shows in the atmosphere and the crowd of regulars who clearly love it. Parking was easy in the strip mall, and even near closing there was only about a five-minute wait. Our waitress was kind and helpful, especially since it was our first visit, which made things easy. I had the Everything Bagel with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, and home fries. The eggs were cooked perfectly fluffy, and the potatoes tasted good but were on the softer side...I would have liked them crispier. The French toast was excellent, soft with those little crispy edges, and the coffee hit the spot. One small thing: I had asked for bacon on the side since I am a vegetarian, but it ended up on the plate. Not a huge deal, but I do think more attentiveness would help, especially for people who don't want their food to touch. Prices are a little high for the overall value, but I understand why people keep coming back. Between the nostalgic vibe, the friendly service, and the solid breakfast, Boychik's is worth a visit. I would go back.

Listen ... I'm from up north and this is my go to deli in the RVA area. Yes they are in short pump and my only complaint is that they close around 2:30 everyday! The absolutely best Rueben I've ever had. The pastrami is always so fresh and the best quality I've tasted in this area. I have never dined in but every time I go they are pretty busy. You can't say anything bad about Boychiks to me! The staff are always very very kind and friendly and that's another thing that keeps me coming back. Run don't walk if you are looking for a good breakfast or sandwich.

Awesome old school deli! Went on my mom's recommendation & mama knows best! We split the hot pastrami & tuna melt with coleslaw & pasta salad. Every bite was delicious! On top of that, vibes here were great. Everyone was so friendly, our server included! Will definitely be back!

Boychik's is the bomb! Tradition Jewish food meets deli meets diner all in one location. The food was so good and our service was so amazing we almost forgot to take pics. 100/10 recommend. We can't wait to go back and try more deliciousness.

I was close to Shortpump and was looking for a really good breakfast cafe that I could get a nice serving of bacon and eggs which was literally what I craved at the time hahaha! I found Boychik's on Yelp and they had pretty good reviews. Upon walking in the cafe atmosphere is really cozy and gives a relaxed cafe vibe with unique decor. Uniquely on the menu I was able to order The Adkins Special which is literally eggs and bacon in my case, but you can get sausage or any choice of meat and eggs made any way you want. It was very filling and you really get a nice portion. I got mines to go since I was on my way into work, I called it in and didn't wait long at all. I'm happy I found a great breakfast cafe with fresh breakfast on the go. Looking forward to trying the lunch options one afternoon, so far very impressed!

This is my 5th or so time going to Boychik's and it never disappoints. Tried something new today, at least for me: Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an everything bagel and it was delicious. Our server coaxed us into flourless chocolate cake which was amazing. This place has become a staple every time I'm in Richmond.

They were open till 130 four-day, being Xmas Eve, and I'm glad we thought to come in. I was surprised by how many tables and booths were open. Our server was super nice, everyone was very festive. We got our drinks quickly and our food quick as well. I will say I wish my club had a bit more mayo, since it was piled high with turkey (yum!) so it was a little dry, but since this is the only time that's happened and I've eaten here a few times, I'm not too upset. The fruit was fresh and delish, and everyone in my party enjoyed our meal. I'll definitely be back, love this place.

Their Nova Salmon was the best I've had in years! The bagel was ok, but the salmon was spectacularly smooth and subtle in flavor. Service was great. I enjoyed this spot for a quick breakfast first thing in the morning. Please note that they open at 6:30 AM everyday. It was post as 6:00 on Yelp and I sent in a correction. Mentioned it to the manager and he said that they've been trying to get it change on Yelp for a long time.

I came here for lunch and got the grilled Reuben with pastrami($13)and fries(+$1). Sandwich came out in about 10 minutes. The fries were unsalted and tasted quite average. The highlight was definitely the grilled Reuben. The meat was warm and super savory! It matched very well with the sauce and kraut. The bread was toasted and buttered. Staff was nice even though it was busy during the lunch rush. Overall a phenomenal deli with great sandwiches at a fair price! I would definitely check them out! Stopped by on Saturday afternoon and faced a small line, with an even bigger one forming behind me. Just wanted to pick up some pastrami. Although they were slammed, the two folks I spoke with were welcoming and helpful. The pastrami was Boar's Head and was cold, which is why only four stars. As for the price, it was a little lower in cost to the same brand found in grocery stores.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with a chopped cheese sandwich, let me break it down for you. A chopped cheese sandwich is when a burger is cooked steak and cheese style and put on a hoagie roll. This sounds like it should be a simple concept but so many sandwiches fall short of hitting the mark. THIS ONE DOES NOT! The meat on this sandwich is cooked wonderfully. The seasoning is perfect. The temperature is excellent. It's juicy and not any way overcooked. It smells amazing as soon as you open the bag. The fries are also a sticking point for me. They are golden brown and have just the right amount of salt and crunch to them without being dried out. My lunch is always really in minutes and I enjoy talking to the owner while I wait. He always greets me with a smile and makes my business feel appreciated. There are several other menu options but I am so smitten with this one that I have not ventured to try anything else.

It was great to see how popular they were, given that the sandwiches were excellent. It's close by, so I plan to return soon.

Turned out to be a good decision! Piggy's appears to be a pretty standard neighborhood grille and sports bar, serving sandwiches, salads, burgers, and a few other items along with a full complement of beers and mixed drinks. A lot of people were addressed by name while I was there, so clearly popular with the locals. Regardless, I got excellent service and was treated just as friendly as anyone else while sitting at the bar. Wanting to make things quick, I ordered a pair of hot dogs with chili, slaw, mustard, and onions. They have a lot of sides to choose from, but the bartender highly recommended the fries. My food came out quickly, and I was immediately taken aback at how big the hot dogs were! I have never seen a more loaded hot dog in my life. First of all, the frank looked like an all beef quarter pounder, and the bun was loaded to the brim with chili, slaw, onions. Had to be careful eating them, and a lot of the toppings spilled off, which made a nice topping for the fries. Great taste, the slaw is the kind I like, not much mayo. Chili was maybe a little cumin heavy, but I the buns were buttered and I really enjoyed the hot dogs overall. The fries though, they didn't steer me wrong. Honestly, some of the best french fries I have ever encountered. They are that slightly battered kind, crispy outside, tender inside, but they had a perfect blend of seasoning on them... and there were a lot of them. I have never struggled to eat a 2 hot dog combo in my life, but this one really filled me up. I did get a ranch to go with it, and this was the only disappointment, tasted like Kraft ranch. Maybe the craze over ranch ends at the VA line. All in all, this was an excellent road lunch stop. Definitely left full and ready to face the rest of my drive. Thanks for the distraction Piggys!

I asked the owners how long they've been here (assuming it was only a few years). This unassuming store has been here for 25 years. I went here on a whim and let me tell you, I will be a frequent customer. This is a hidden gem of a grocery store. Some of the things that caught my eye were: * Imported European butter (high quality butter). * Tons of imported, cured meats * Perogies, meat dumplings, mashed potato dumplings, etc. * A fantastic selection of tasty mustards * Pickled & fermented items such as sauerkraut, pickled vegetables, pepper spreads * A wide variety of tasty jams * Fresh farmer cheeses * Imported Cheeses * Homemade desserts * Homemade, old world, artisan bread * Much more Another person left a comment exclaiming that items here are pricey. I want to share my thoughts and why I think it's 5 stars and not pricey. So, first, I love the salami here. I bought a few kind of Salami but the German Salami is very nice. Now that being said, as of today it's like $20/lb. But, few important things to note. 1) it's Imported from Europe. 2) The richness & complexity of flavor is so much better than your $7.99/lb grocery store chain salami. The flavors are complex and wonderful. It's truly something where you keep wanting more. This is ideal for a charcuterie board or something where you want people to really notice the bold flavors. It is worth the price. Secondly, their homemade desserts are out of this world. I guarantee you that you have had few desserts that are this good. They are unlike the processed junk we get even at nice grocery store bakeries. One bite and you're in heaven. So much so we went back immediately the next day to get more. Third, they are making their own variety of bread loaves. I wish I had gotten a picture but they are as beautiful as they are delicious. This isn't old world bread. Artisan bread. You aren't getting this elsewhere. Overall, the quality of everything is just very good. It's a taste of eastern Europe. It's a treat and a delight. You should do in and try it. You won't be disappointed. Sure, many of the products may be unfamiliar or even written in a language you might not understand. But the staff is friendly and we're glad to answer my questions. As I am sure they will be glad to answer yours. And, honestly, go in and ask them what they recommend. Try thier favorite foods and favorite desserts. I tried their black currant dressert (black currants are not widely available in the US but are delightful) and I never would have if I didn't ask for a recommendation. At minimum, go in and get 1/4lb of cured meats, some dessert, some bread, and why not some mashed potato dumplings (perogies)... You won't be disappointed.

The mac & cheese, unfortunately, was not good at all. On the plus side, the hot cider was delicious. Desserts were a bit of a mixed thoughts. The bread pudding was definitely the best one we tried and really enjoyable. However, the chocolate peanut butter pie was a big disappointment. It was extremely hard and cold (not pie texture), the peanut butter wasn't creamy at all, and it honestly tasted more like a protein bar loaded with sugar.
