Stay far away from this company. John, the owner, came to our door soliciting work. When we questioned him about the company's numerous negative reviews, he assured us that those reviews were not about his business and convinced us to move forward with a new driveway installation. Unfortunately, the driveway began failing within a week of completion. When we contacted the company regarding the issues, they initially promised to return and honor their warranty. After that, they completely disappeared and stopped responding. We are now facing thousands of dollars in repair costs to correct the poor workmanship they left behind. Despite advertising a 10-year warranty, they would not even address major problems that appeared within three weeks of installation. Their installation method was also concerning. Rather than properly removing and replacing the existing driveway, they left most of the old driveway in place, cut only the front and rear entrance sections, and applied a layer of new asphalt over the existing surface. This appears to be a shortcut designed to reduce costs, but it is a known cost cutting short cut that is not the proper industry practice. The workmanship was poor, the warranty was meaningless, and the customer service vanished as soon as payment was made. It's disappointing to trust what seemed like a hardworking local company only to be left with a failed driveway and expensive repairs. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. We will be moving forward with BBB reviews, legal action and any other way we can pursue this so other customers dont have to suffer the same issue. read more

I normally don't accept contract work from doorbell solicitors because I try to do things myself. However, I couldn't maintain my 25 year old driveway with just sealing every two years as the cracks were getting deeper and larger every year. My backyard patio was also getting ever my head despite resetting/replacing cracked bricks every two years with resending and mortaring steps. I needed professional help. So I listened to John's plan and his price was so reasonable I thought even if it isn't great, he will stop the increasing damage. When he was done in less than a week with a beautifully paved driveway and perfectly sanded patio (with re-set raised landings and steps), I couldn't have been happier. New asphalt pavement with standing water issues right upon jobfinished. Contact the owner several times to fix the issue without response. They tend to give you a low estimate to attract your business but then change the price and the list of items in the contract. They also don't give a clear timeline of the project. Not carefully operating their machines and damaged our siding of the garage while driving their flat rolling machine. During their service, the crew kept on taking our tools from our garage without permission and not returning my husband's Dewalt impact driver. Update on 07/10/2019 After sending them numerous messages without any replies, we believe this company is totally a scale! No work ethics and no quality of service. They don't keep the promise and can not deliver the quality. Not to mention garage Damage and stolen power tools. We will report to the BBB and please stay away from this company! Update on 07/19/2019 The Crew came back and spent a whole day redid our whole driveway!! They addressed the issue and fixed with super quality, now We are happy about our driveway. John, the owner, was a polite man at 1st meeting. He was a walk-up to the home. He had seen my steps in disrepair from the street. He offered to redo them (the steps) and freshen up what was old, the existing walk/front patio. I'd say it was a smidgen pricy for our pocket, but he said he'd use Cambridge, which is mostly a better product, to do the job. The hardest part to refuse was the offer to do it with no funds until work was completed. He stated a 10 year warranty on material and workmanship. He'd only been in business for 2 years, as stated by him as a concern for us. But the terms were good, so I couldn't see a downside as the steps were already in severe ruin. As it turned out, the job was completed, and he did return to finish applying the glue sand that came up from heavy rainfall that has to a small degree come up again after another bout of rain. There are minor issues that annoy me. Pooling on some step pavers and some white stains on some of the cheaper material he used to finish the job on something added that we negotiated originally that wasn't on the written agreed contract. He did agree to do that part of the job, but as he said, was a courtesy, and he stated he'd not charged us for it. (LoL I beg to differ, but it wasn't in writing on that part). Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the job. His workmen were polite and efficient time-wise. He personally spent very little time and didn't really manage them as they mostly knew what they were doing except to rush them. If he was more involved, I'd probably not be as happy as he kept making jokes about charging me more for the job he was doing. In the end, I have stains on some of the step pavers, and the work was agreed to be done by both after the initial contract was signed. There is some pooling that could have been solved with a slightly better pitch to the pavers as well. As for the stains, he stated that he won't do anything about that as he did it as a courtesy, and it's an mfg issue that eventually goes away. I understood and reluctantly capitulated as it wasn't written in. I just wanted the job complete & done. The job overall was done expeditiously and reasonably well. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!! These guys are fast talking yes men and KIDS who do not come to finish the job. They left our driveway in such horrible despair that it cost my husband and I hundreds more to try and fix their mess. They are nomads who show up each year and disappear right after your work is done. Please search the, on all township websites they are the worst !!!!!! read more

Bad experience. They stop by and say doing work in area and will give you a good deal. They cry for payment before job is fully done to pay their staff. The leave mess, concrete was poured in below freezing temp and is now crumbling. Pavers they installed did not adhere to pattern. Their phone number is now disconnected. Such a disappointment. Last February we hired the company for a small fix up mason job. We were promised top rate work and a very long warranty. Bottom line - a worker was left on his own to do the job, which needs to be corrected. A pallet with a tub filled with debris was left behind at the curb. The receipt for the payment was never sent - all in spite of phone calls, promises and one mailed letter. They just conveniently evaporated once payment was made. Most unreliable and unprofessional! We had a great experience with Jersey Paving and Masonry! We met with Mike to come up with a design. He was very patient with us as we went through different options and costs. There was no pressure and he gave us a reasonable and honest price. When we decided on a design, the crew got started in a matter of days after signing the contract. They installed a huge patio, turf, and a patio fire pit for us completely transforming the yard into a functional space for our family. We were impressed with Sean and his teams hard work! Both Mike and Sean kept us informed about everything they were doing. It was a great experience and we can't wait to use them again for our front yard. read more

These people are frauds, they didn't finish the work as per the contract and started demanding more money. They initially said no payment required until job is done but after that its every day relentless pursuit for payment, so when we gave in and payed them, they took off never to return. Also the stones they used to do the patio were stolen (they did some credit card fraud) and the store they brought it from is threatened to take them back. The store guy told us that these guys setup fake businesses do some jobs and jump town, leaving their customers and suppliers at logger heads. Very fraudulent and shady business practices. Don't get involved with these guys and lose your money and peace of mind. Find some real professionals, these people are not professionals. read more

I am writing to report the really frustrating experience I've had with the company Jersey Paving and Masonry. The concrete surface on the front covered porch and walkway of my house was chipped and pitted in a few places. I found Jersey Paving and Masonry through Angie's List and the flyer they left at my house. Their contractor came and suggested resurfacing the porch and walkway to make it smooth and even. They also agreed to replace broken bricks from the front steps. They said they would guarantee their work for ten years and gave a quote of $1500 to which I agreed. * Jersey Paving and Masonry finished worked on the porch and walkway on 10 -15 - 2019. * I noticed that the surface was not smooth as they had not prepared the surface by first patching and smoothing out the damaged parts. * Some broken bricks had also not been replaced. * When I pointed this out to the contractor, he became very belligerent and wanted his full payment, saying he would come back the following week on Wednesday 10-23-19 to fix all the problems. * I gave him the full amount in good faith trusting him to come back on 10-23 -19. * Once the concrete dried I found the entire surface blotchy with big discolored patches, and trowel and shoe marks on it. * I called and reported that to him and he again said he would be coming on 10/23 so I took that day off from work and waited all day, called him several times but no one showed up. * I emailed the Company photos of the porch and walkway to show how bad it was looking * However, despite repeated phone calls and messages the company has not returned to rectify and complete the work. * They also failed to provide me with any paperwork and the promised ten year guarantee after receiving the payment. read more

I believe there are 2 companies out there with same name. Please do not get this company confused with Jerysey Paving and Masonry which seems to be a respectable company. These guys are fraudster. They showed up to my house saying that they're doing the work in the area and offered a great discount. Told me I do not have to pay anything upfront and only pay if I like the work at the end. I said ok to very low price. After they went away, I did research about this company on the internet and was able to find horror stories from other home owners. I immediately called them back and cancelled the work. These guys showed up the following week anyway and start to rip-up my driveway without letting me know that they are there or any contract. I ran outside to stop them. One guy told me that their owner did not notified them. I told them that they need to fix the repair. One guy refused to do it. The other guy said they will be back few days later to repair. I called the number they gave me originally and it is not disconnected number. DO NOT BE FOOLED by these crooks. read more
