Along with Brian, the estimator, she came up with an ingenious use of the existing small space for an expanded walk-in shower and vanity area. Zoriana created a CAD rendering of the project, so we were able to clearly visualize what it will look like. Monks met our budget, and we are excited to proceed with the job. I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

Shirley asked us detailed questions about what was most important to us and our habits and created the a fabulous custom closet that's also very functional within our budget. We also did some custom cabinets to our living room TV unit. There was a miscommunication around the design but they reached out proactively to fix it. Ivan (or Evan?) and the installation team finished the job in 1 day instead of the 2 booked. They were extremely professional and efficient. Unfortunately never had any discussion about options and what coating would work best for what i want as well as pros/cons of different polyurethanes. A crew showed up, got right to work and left. After a couple days i noticed imperfections in a couple of the rooms so i reached back out to them. They were very quick to respond and sent the crew out the same day, they inspected the floors and ended up doing another coat at no cost. Floors came out great. This company conducted a site visit, took detailed measurements, and reviewed the overhangs. They…read morewere the only party with full knowledge of the conditions and the technical expertise to determine where and what type of support - if any- would be required. Despite lengthy email communication and an approved drawing, Creative Habitats never identified or called out any need for brackets. The first countertop cracked, and they blamed the support around our grill. That turned out to be inaccurate. Then they blamed the island's foundation. That also turned out to be inaccurate. At no point did they ever say that the overhangs needed support, despite more site visits. After the first failure, they expressly stated that they would coordinate with the pool contractor (they guy they blamed) before reinstalling the replacement. I provided his contact information for that purpose. That coordination must never have occurred, and this company sent installers again to proceeded with installation even though no brackets were in place. The second countertop cracked under the exact same conditions. Creative Habitats chose to reinstall twice on the same structure. These decisions were negligent and directly caused both failures. This company was supposed to have the expertise and visibility to prevent this outcome, and failed to do so -- twice.
