Date Tahini Latte + Cardamom Rose Latte
Melody L.

Amazing cafe in Oakland! Home to probably one of my favorite lattes I've ever had as an avid coffee drinker + cafe hopper! I got the Date Tahini Latte and it was absolutely delicious. The honey-caramel sweetness of the date balanced the latte beautifully, softening the bitterness or sour notes that typically come with a bold cup of coffee. My friend got the Cardamom Rose Latte which had a very strong rose taste with hints of cardamom that similarly paired well with their coffee. Very beautiful cafe too, would highly recommend anyone who may be in the area to check this place out!

My new favorite cafe when I go to the Bay Area. I got the date tahni latte and it was so good. Great customer service. They were so nice and helpful.

Tasty amazing drinks, great customer service, and very cool place to sit and enjoy your time

Jerusalem Coffee House is where Well's coffee was. Same infrastructure with new decor, vibes, drinks Limited seating inside. Parking at side of building. Offerings: coffee, latte, teas, muffins... Quick service once i decided what wanted. Drink: rose blossom latte (6) -choose oat milk, blended smoothly with the housemade, natural ingredients -don't usually drink lattes, this one's fab! Eats: zucchini blueberry lemon muffin (5) -lightly sweetened, layered flavors of fresh fruits & natural flavors. Yummy! Bathroom mural created by Whitney Rombery

Hands down some of the best lattes you'll have in Oakland. This is a cool and chill coffee shop with delicious lattes. You'll find flavors you can't find anywhere else. The staff are friendly and the baristas are truly excellent at their craft. We got the Rose Blossom and the Date Tahini and they were both good. They provide both Oat and Whole milk at the moment. I can't wait to go back and try out the other items. I'll definitely back in the next week. This place will be popular so go there before it gets busy!

Employees had an attitude. My latte had no flavor and too much milk. I wanted to enjoy it but simply couldn't. Also, my focaccia was cold.

Perfect brunch place for a group, many menu options and seats! My party got a caramel macchiato,…read morehot chocolate, green tea and a chai latte, all turned out great. Everyone loved what they got, croissant sandwich, egg/avocado toast, bagel sandwich (pictured). So nice to see they have gluten-free toast available! Service was quick especially for the amount we ordered. Everyone was nice, especially the worker that hand scooped our Booza icecream at the end. Didn't even get a picture because we were too excited to try it!

They have plenty of seating, and one of the biggest advantages is their excellent Wi-Fi speed, which makes it a reliable spot for remote work or studying. The atmosphere is enjoyable as well. There's usually music playing or a sports game on the TV, creating a comfortable, laid-back environment without being distracting. Their food selection is also better than you'd expect from a coffee shop. In addition to coffee and pastries, they offer cakes, breakfast items, and a variety of other snacks and treats, so there's always something to pair with your drink. Their hours are convenient, making it easy to stop by throughout the day. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is cleanliness. I've noticed on several occasions that when I arrive shortly after opening--sometimes within 30 minutes to an hour--there are still crumbs on the chairs, tables, and floor, even when there haven't been many customers yet. First impressions matter, and the café should be fully cleaned and ready for guests before the doors open. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down their own tables before sitting. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and would absolutely recommend it for the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, seating, and food options. With a little more attention to cleanliness before opening each day, it would be an even better experience.

Baristas explained that they are up for trying different and sometimes unusual combinations for their customers. I wasn't adventurous this time, but it made me want to explore in the future. I came here to work, hoping for a relatively warm and cozy spot that wasn't too sleepy. I was not disappointed. The wifi was good, music was fun and unobtrusive. Decorations and layout gave a friendly, welcoming environment. Not only were the benches and padded chairs comfy, the ambiance was kept even in the bathroom. Spacious, warm lighting, cute bathroom with a great mirror and cool sink. I don't ever ding places for hospital-looking bathrooms (you know, fluorescent lights, questionable floors, sand paper toilet paper...) but this was one of the few where I was impressed. Good to know: Jaffa cakes are only available on the weekend Parking: Some of the streets nearby are resident-only parking so make sure to double check!

The latte was sweet but still delicious. I'd probably order it hot next time. It's a large space with merchandise, beans, and accessories for sale. They've also got a good sized menu for coffee and tea drinkers alike.

Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! My "hi test" cappuccino was spectacular, smooth and perfect! Honestly, It took me back to Roma where we had aour honeymoon 22 years ago! Bella! If you find yourself on Berkeley's Fourth Street and looking for a perfect roasted coffee make sure to hop into Artis Coffee and I know you will love it too!

Artis Coffee was okay…read more I had an Ube Latte, 12 oz, iced, with matcha and oat milk ($8.50 plus $2 tip) and it was good. Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.
