Great hole in the wall spot with a surprisingly large patio in the back and quaint inside seating in armchairs. The food was excellent - I got the breakfast toast and would next time have asked for a side plate as it was hard to dig into my food on such a full cutting board. The food was tasty and the portions were solid. You have to order at the counter and they'd bring your food and drink out to you, and you bus your own tables. The wraps look huge!? I'll need to come back to try those next time

Cozy and smells of essential oils

It was March 1 and a sunny day in Oakland. I'd just finished hiking some hidden stairs, enjoying views, good weather, and a good sweat. Fast forward to the end of the journey and my friend and I are hungry. The name and reviews had me wanting to check this out. BTW, check out Merriewood stairs, cuz why not?? Anywho, I tend to luck up on parking and this day was no different. I didn't even bother to check out the back area, but there is an outdoor area out back. I always say next time, but I mean it. This spot was cool, and I got some desserts up the street and came back to read a bit before heading home. I like a good, comfy spot that I can read in with good beverages, ambiance and food. They also have essential oils going non-stop in here. I'm pleased. I've been really, really craving red meat lately, so I ordered the Massaman beef wrap. Great choice, and at the time the menu said it was seasonal. You get two wraps in your order. I took the other one home. The massaman beef was a 5/5. My friend ordered the salmon lover wrap and it was not our thing. I didn't care for the smoked salmon - we thought it would be baked - and I definitely didn't care for the cream cheese. I only like cream cheese on a bagel. I used to like it on hot Cheetos, but that was a different time. Anyway, cute name, nice ambiance, and the menu has a lot of options. Also, the location is everything.

We love this place so much that we come here often. PJ and the lively atmosphere make it special. Our favorites are the Tuna sandwich and chocolate croissants. But everything on the menu has fantastic flavor you should try!

Lovely indoor space (and a large patio in the back)

Was walking up Piedmont and wanted a snack and coffee and glanced in, and immediately loved the floral, fun, colorful, artful vibes. Ordered coffee drinks and salmon wrap (wrapped in yummy rice wrapper). Everything came out quickly, the staff were friendly and food and drinks came out quickly. Recommend for the lovely cozy indoor seating and immersive outdoor space. The blend of Thai and coffee shop is also wonderful!

Second time here - first time just had coffee ... a delicious, potent Dark Hojicha (roasted green tea) Latte. I had one again this time, as did my two friends. They have milk alternatives: almond, soy, ripple (pea) & oat. We all had a variation of avocado toast (regular, with egg salad, & with shrimp). All pretty delicious! I think they might have gluten free bread too. The cafe is cozy, with big, comfy chairs, snd a large, sunny courtyard. The owner is friendly & efficient. I'm sure we'll be back!

The vibe is cute, the chairs are cozy, and the WiFi password is written in crayon hearts, so believe me--I wanted to love Jungle. But $30 later, I left hungry, cramped, and gently guilt-tripped by a sign telling me to leave after an hour. The spinach in my salad was shockingly fresh and well-dressed, but the rest? Mid. The chicken was forgettable, and the plate was so small it felt like a logistical puzzle just to eat without spilling (I failed). Also, the place is tiny and jam-packed, more art installation than working café. I came here hoping to set up with a laptop and enjoy a chill work session. But if you're gonna ask people to leave after an hour, don't charge boutique wine bar prices. One and done for me. I could see 'treating' somebody I want to impress here in the future. If that happens I'll come back and up the review. But as is, the price and "1 hour limit" leaves the cafe as not the spot to laptop and work while also not being the brunch spot of my dreams.

I walked past this cute little café on one of my neighborhood walks and unfortunately it was past closing time. What caught my eye was the plants and the sweet ambience I picked up on-even in the dark. I made a mental note of it and came back a few days later. I ordered an Americano, picked up a book from their shelf and had a seat in a cozy corner. I spent an hour there, and as I slow sipped my coffee, I realized I may have found my new regular Sunday morning café.

This is my fav neighborhood cafe of the Bay so HAD to share the review love! The chai tea and unique croissant options found here are so delicious. A perfect blend of frothed milk and chai herb make up the tea latte. The Matcha Croissant is a lovely blend of baked artisan bread with almonds, strawberries, blueberries, and the treat of the Me & Jungle Cafe matcha sauce. Staff here are always pleasant to experience. And the vibe is def on repeat for me and many lately, cozy chic.

Piedmont Ave -- this is two orders on one plate, but still! One order is two large-burrito-sized rolls.

    - beautiful back patio with lots of plants - enormous servings of fresh rolls / spring rolls - friendly staff - good for remote work Worked remote from here for a while afternoon and it was lovely. Servings are really big!

I initially stopped by for a latte and the foam was soooo good that I had to come back. Got the club and sat in the back patio - what a lovely lunch! I was not expecting the food to be that good; I'll have to keep coming back! Service was also very kind!

Soya soya wrap with tofu and spicy cilantro lime sauce.

From outside I had zero clue this was a restaurant. And that is a shame since I have walked past so many times and never gone in to see what they have. If I had walked in, I would have seen a beautiful indoor space with lots of greenery and walls covered in green panels with flowers and lights and a very inviting environment. I would've also seen that it has a great patio space in the back with plenty of seating and also adorable. It would be worth it just to go in and get a coffee and sit out on the patio space, or maybe in the greenhouse on the patio space. I went with a few colleagues and had an early lunch. Three had wraps and one had a sandwich. Think Thai inspired with a hint of Japanese flair. Everything is extremely fresh, and there are many vegetarian and vegan options as well as meats and fish. I ordered the soya soya, which is a tofu and veggie wrap. You get to choose your sauce, which could have been peanut sauce or the cilantro lime spicy sauce. It was so fresh and incredible, I couldn't believe it. My colleagues also really enjoyed their dishes and coffees and teas. If you haven't been in this place, don't mistake it for a little greenery, restore, go in and have a fresh wrap and a fancy tear your coffee. If you have the opportunity chat with the owner, she's an absolute doll. I will definitely be back, and I will definitely spread the word because this place is a gem.

Quiet and homey coffee shop with friendly staff and outdoor seating in the back. My friend and I ordered two drinks so purely reviewing on just taste, it was quite mediocre. The drinks were very bland and tasted like 95% milk or very watered down. Pretty presentation and nice ambiance though.

My friend and I came here to study for our final. It was the perfect place! The free wifi was a great help. Additionally, there are so many comfortable places to sit. The food was also wonderful. I even enjoyed the spinach side salad because the dressing was so tasty.

I loved the ambiance, it felt we was in another country. The place was packed I have no idea where everyone parked haha. Very hard to find parking. The Adeni Chai I had was wonderful and I would get again. The lemon pastries I had were good & I would possibly get again. Both cheese pastries & meat pocket I didnt care for so much. I undetstand they are an acquired taste but me being Middle Eastern we have our own versions and I think that's why I didn't like as much. I would definitely go back and try more sweet pastries. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. It's cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to try another countries culture and delights. They also have outside seating which is especially nice on a beautiful day. Pro tip: take an Uber if you can. Parking is hard to get.

We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell the coffee quality is solid. We also tried the matcha drinks in vanilla and strawberry. I liked the strawberry matcha more. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.
