Food was great and came out quick. Bar tender was very nice and good to talk to. Good spot. Don't miss out on their buffalo tenders.

Great variety. Little slow service sometimes cause of demand but I highly recommend the sandwiches. Best in town.

It was Blues Jam on Sunday and an older crowd of locals. Great music from several bands each playing a set. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and food choices. If you like cider, go for the Downeast Cider on draft - delicious and not overly sweet. Special on Sunday of $9 Bud Light pitchers. We mainly came in for lunch more so than for drinks. Another Sunday special is $.95 apiece wings. We got 8 extra crispy with the sweet chili sauce. Highly recommend! Main entree was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers with side of onion rings, and hubby had a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The burger was small but really good. Onion rings were crispy and not greasy. The Reuben was crisp on outside with good flavor. Although the portions weren't huge, you couldn't beat the price at $9.95 per meal. Everything is made to order by Ron in the back. If you are in a hurry for your meal and not planning to sit around and drink for the afternoon, just tell your waitress and I'm sure things will come out faster for you. Would come back again!

Beer purists may find the brews to be average, but I'm more than happy with the variety of beers offered and satisfied with the ones I tried, especially the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, There is also hard seltzer ("hard water") that can be flavored with any of the Italian soda flavors, a hard tea, and hosted cider, all gluten free, as well as mixed drinks. No question there is something for everyone. So happy to have more food items to choose from to go with the beers. A nice assortment of options at a reasonable price point. I had a Rueben panini with kettle chips, which was satisfying. My friend has the Birchwood Signature Soft Pretzel that is made with spent grain from the beer production and served with warm beer cheese, which also was decent. A standout was the server - Ella Q - she was super helpful at explaining the menu, flights, and was so pleasant! Knew just when to check in, and when to give us space. Bottom line - a solid local option for food & beer with great service on this particular evening, and live music on some nights. Grab your friends, have a flight or a pint, some food, and be happy that this option is available in Gray.

Not very busy but only one waitress working as has been par for the course last few times there. Finally took my order which was eggs Benedict. As i waited for my meal i heard the few other couples there ordering their meals. Waited almost 45 minutes and no meal yet? Eventually the waitress came out to serve table next to me , the people said they didnt wang their breakfast i heard thdm order, thay said the food they brought eatlier was good enough for thdm so refused to take food waitress had brought and which i heatd them order! Waitress came over to my table (only single diner there) and told me she served the table of 3 my breakfast !! Which they knew wasnt theres but shared it between themselves anyways! So just short of an hour i was told she would put my order in again!! I said just bring my bill so i could square up , i had things to do and couldnt wait sny longer! Took another 5 minutes before she came back and said coffee was on her!! Unreal. Worst service ever, had slow service there previously but this was ridiculous, ill never go back again , horrible service and only one waitress who obviously didnt have a clue! And people who ate my breakfast knew they hadnt ordered it but ate it anyway instead of telling waitress it wasnt mine!!! If you want a good reasonably priced breakfast with awsome service go to The Galley in Bath. 1/2 the price and great service.

That being said, the male staff members are unbelievably sexist every time I go. I've gotten hit on by the bartender who proceeded to get my order wrong and tell the random man standing next to me that "chicks can be so god damn annoying" when I asked him to grab the drink I ordered from the fridge behind him. The bouncer told me a couple of days ago when i was at the front of the line that "with that kind of behavior you'll never find a husband." Also note, Thursday nights blues jam is kinda the best thing you'll ever do in Lewiston on a Thursday night. Thursday! 7/1/11: Grayer days Lewiston, grayer days. Old railroad tracks, working class roots, this old bar, an improv blues night and the audience, plentiful. Scrunchies still adorning the copper highlighted ponytails of overly tanned women in their thirties. Everyone slightly off and no one fashionable except the musicians, clearly high timing in a small town, fedoras just so. Cartoon lobsters with shades on, off brand track pants and the requisite new England lack of eye contact. How long have you been sitting on that barstool, sir - how many years? 7/8/11 This ain't new York city, or LA, no. Mr bluesman you are correct, here in this dark, seedy, working class dive where all that matters is your improvised words, notes, sonic bliss... Sold for free to the tired citizens of a worn out, angelic town, built on industry, dripping with soul. Reverberate off the walls, this old bar, the cathedral across the street. Reverberate the two odd centuries of strife, of worn hands, of working the mills. Lewiston has the blues.
