This was my first visit to Jessicas in McKinney as I normally go to the one in Frisco or some other beauty store. The main products I look for our weaving caps, wigs & maybe bundles to make a quick wig of my own. Luckily & to my surprise the wig caps were the cheapest I have ever seen which is a major plus. The wigs were decently priced however, I only seen 1-2 that were worth trying on. They should really consider switching out wigs & ordering new products. The mannequin head wigs were so stiff & old my fingers got stuck multiple times. That's not a good look when it comes to trying to see if a wig texture fits what you want. If your purchasing a new wig you can't take it out & try it on so you just have to hope the texture is better than the one on the mannequin. Lastly, beauty supply stores need to STOP charging customers for wig caps just to try on a wig. I get the sanitary side of it but don't charge me for something I didn't ask for, period. Plus their wig caps are $1 for 2, but their charging $1 for 1, whether you buy a wig or not. $1 is a $1, but I can buy my own when I want to. Will I return? maybe but just for the caps. The customer service was good so that's a plus. read more

The employees were so sweet and helpful, and the female cashier let me sign up for their rewards program and included my previous purchase even though I wasn't signed up the first time. I went here for clip in extensions. It was my first time ever looking for/buying extensions and the staff was so helpful and nice! They helped me match the perfect color of my hair, which is hard because my hair is minimum 3 different colors! I ended up getting 10, 14 inch clip ins for about $80 after tax. I dont shop at these places but once in a blue moon but i have decided to wear a wig to give my real hair a rest and what i have noticed about these Beauty Suppy stores owned by the Internationals is that they are cool with u when u buying shampoo and conditioner but as soon as u venture off into the wig area they appear to be on edge and their whole attitude change and the lady had the nerve to tell me we not allowed to try on wigs at all and i said well in that case i will order online she walked off like well order online then bih... Blk women we have to stop spending our money with these people. African American women frequent these spots and we need to stop. Look how they treat us. We have to do better. The reason why this lady didnt care if i bought from her or not is because a 100 more AA women will come in and buy and this is a problem. Stop allowing these people to open up a shop in your area just to treat u like dog poop. read more

There aren't enough workers there at once. There was one woman who had multiple things going on, and she was a horrible multi-tasker. We wanted colored contacts, so she told us to go behind the counter and look behind the glass door at all of the contacts while she checked out a customer. She was on the phone with another potential customer trying to find the place, so she stood there on the phone while people were waiting to get checked out. She literally just stood there talking to someone about the location and staring at us for 5 minutes until she told the person to call back in 5 minutes because she was checking "this lady" out. What it comes down to is that they just need to have more than one worker at each shift. I think that'll definitely solve this problem. They have an amazing variety of beauty retail, though. I will never return to this store ever again. They sell hair that's not even the right color. I buy a number 4 in hair every time and when I purchased extensions in a number 4, it was clearly the wrong color. And the guy refused to let me return it or be exchanged for it. Someone is always willing to help me, the workers are friendly and I used to go there quite often and even though I don't now most of them remember me. Every time I go there's a larger selection to choose from, I usually go for braiding hair, and they have quite a few colors too. read more

Far too overpriced for me. I'd rather venture out and go to Valley Beauty Supply located in Lewisville which sells the same products for a much more affordable price. Maybe the owners at Jessica Beauty Supply would lower their prices in the future? But until then, I'll be making trips to Lewisville just to buy affordable braiding hair out there. I bought a pack of hair that did not match my hair color (unfortunately for me) I called before I came in to confirm if I can exchange the hair for another color the lady told me to come in. Picture I opened the package but I did not cut any tags nor did I do ANYTHING TO THE HAIR when I got there with my receipt and everything in tact they would not accept the hair as an EXCHANGE! I would never shop or recommend this beauty supply to ANYONE NOT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY... If I could give this place -5 stars I would! read more
