The first beauty supply store that worship songs are playing that refreshed my soul and spirit instead of songs that promote objectifying instead of getting to know Jesus through the Holy Spirit and one another the way God intended. Staff is very helpful. Big selection, organized and well maintained. On my way out the one that served us as we checked out said, "this is my mission" spoke blessings over us and handed us each this! I live about 20 minutes away from Jessica's. There are several beauty supply stores near me. I bypass them all to shop at Jessica's. First, the staff have been so nice to me every single time I shop there. One of the things I appreciate the most is how they do not try and influence you to purchase things. For example, I did not enjoy wig shopping at a beauty supply store on Parker and I-75 in Plano because the ladies who work there stare and say things like, "That wig looks good on you. It's very pretty!" I never ask for their opinions. At Jessica's, they say when asked,"I think it looks good on you, but it's your decision." I never feel pressured at Jessica's. Second, I like the fact that they play gospel music. Other beauty supply stores should model Jessica's. They know how to treat their customers. It is my favorite beauty supply store. They carry everything I like and have the largest selection I have ever seen. The cashier gave me a card. It was a handwritten note. I normally purchase wig caps & hair for my quick on-the-go wigs for myself & clients. I usually don't write to many reviews BUT. I needed a ponytail for bad hair day. Since I know nothing about them. I asked the African American lady behind the counter. She was in the middle of showing me some opitons and the Asian lady with the pink apron came and was pulling her away from me in the middle of mid sentence. Literally pulling her by her arm. I was shocked! I already felted bad because the lady was watching me but never said anything. The other Asian lady was nice to me when I asked her a question. But it is always one bad apple to make you stay away. I felt bad for the African American lady who works there but I want return. I didn't like the way that Asian lady attacked. Today November 13th 2023 I went to Jessica beauty to exchange my nails, I bought from them to use on my birthday. Nov 12th on my birthday in the morning I started doing my nail, I filed them and picked out my nail size, just when it was time to glue them on, the glue was hard dry and very old. I was very disappointed thinking nothing of it i went in today explained the situation to the owner, to my suprise the owner was very rude, said no I couldn't exchange he never even said sorry or that he can make it right for the inconvenience of me wanting them for my birthday. I have been coming to Jessica beauty supply for over 5 years. I will never shop here ever again. This is not how you treat your royal customer. I bought two products from this beauty supply store last week one was Biosilk and the other was a lipgloss from NYX. When I got home I smelled biosilk and it smelled like chemicals I knew something was off so I went to Ulta and purchased the actual biosilk there was a complete night and day difference between the smell and feel of the product. I also applied the NXY lip gloss the smell was off and the product was extra sticky I went home and compared it to the actual NYX Lip gloss that I have and noticed that the bottom labels are completely different. I have never left a review in my life and I don't mean to be negative... but Its sad that this is the only option for a beauty supply store here in Frisco. Me or anyone I know will never spend money here again... the asians that own this store only care about making a dollar, and honestly this isn't a good beauty supply store! All of the products are expired, the wigs on display are a tangled mess, terrible crochet hair options, overpriced pack hair, and dim lighting is all Jessica's has to offer. The owner cannot be trusted, he knows nothing about hair (thats exactly what he told me). After reading other reviews, he also lies about the price of the hair until you get to the counter. I came in today and we had a friendly conversation about the hairstyle I was trying to achieve and he suggested I buy a pack of kinky curly hair. When I opened the package at home, the hair was a body wave texture so I immediately came back to the store to let him know I needed to exchange for the correct texture we talked about. He proceeded to tell me I could not exchange the hair because the hair was used. I mean it had only been 15 minutes! I trusted him to give me the correct hair from behind the counter and I shouldn't have. I work hard for my money and it hurt to have it wasted. Don't shop here. My husband paid in cash. Spent approximately $22.00 in their store. The cashier gave $27.00 and some change back. Don't you know some of the money (our change) given back was counterfeit. They gave is 2 $10, a $5 and 2 one dollar bills back. To our surprise one of the $10 bills was counterfeit. Word to the wise.
