A long battle with cancer and I had no hair loss until the past few months. I've lost almost all of my hair and thus I needed a wig. Where do I start, who can I trust, and how can I feel confident that a wig looks natural were just a few of the questions ringing in my head. A mutual friend mentioned that Young Martin (owner of Wigs N Hair) excelled in this area. From the moment I walked in until I walked out with a gorgeous wig, it was a memorable experience. Young had looked me up on FB, had a couple of wigs pulled for me and the first one she put on me was perfect. It was the wig I needed and I felt tremendous peace during every step. This is a hidden gem! My daughter was looking for hair extensions for prom, so we Googled the area. We found a few places that sell a variety of hair but the selection and quality of hair was limited and we simply could not find a match. We literally stumbled across LC Wigs N Hair. The location is in a strip mall area, and this is why I call them a hidden gem! I assure you when you step through the door you will be impressed. You will be greeted by the nicest person, her name is Ms. Young, and she is the owner. She asks all the right questions and she knows what products will work best for you. She's an amazing person with a natural flair for making you feel comfortable, at ease and beautiful. Ms. Young shared her story with us. She promised herself a place in this world as an independent woman-owned business. She spent five years learning the industry and found a niche! The "hair market" caters to African American hair more than other hair, so her niche was to create a boutique that caters to all types of hair. This lovely lady says she's seen it all, people who have lost all of their hair for many reasons or they are growing hair back or growing it out. She says she gets cosplayers, people who want something special for an event like a wedding/ prom, or those who want to explore hair extensions like my daughter. This is unlike any other "hair place" that I have been too, it is a simple classy boutique, modern environment but not intimidating. It is nicely laid out so that you can shop. Fantastic customer care and great selection! I went with my mother to find a good "going out on the town" sort of wig. Miss Young was able to find the perfect fit for my mom, finding the right coloring, volume, length, and style. The prices were reasonable and the service was beyond expectation. Since it's by appointment, she takes the time to work one-on-one with each customer, giving them the personal attention they need to select the right fit. I'd like to follow the lead of fellow reviewer Stephanie in praising Mrs. Young; she's a very warm and patient woman, and she was a huge help in assisting with selection, fitting, and styling of a wig for my girlfriend. The shop is clean, well organized, and the wigs are displayed neatly throughout the space. We selected four to try on, and moved to the fitting area. Knowing that discretion is likely key for many customers, the fitting area has a curtain for privacy, as well as comfortable seating and ample lighting and mirrors to be able to really assess the products. Mrs. Young fitted the wigs, helped with positioning, basic styling etc. to make sure that each option presented as best as possible. She took the time to answer questions and make recommendations during the process. In the end, we selected a beautiful black wig with some subtle red highlights that looked positively stunning. I'm confident that it will give years of good service, and after wearing it to a wedding, reception, and a Irish pub on the first day, the reviews from friends and family were great! Words cannot begin to describe the kindness of Mrs.Young the owner of this shop. I have trichotillomania- which in laymen's terms is compulsive hair pulling. Like many women who suffer from hair loss (alopecia, trich, thinning hair, chemotherapy, etc) I started at an early age and have worn hair units to cover my top bald spot for over 30 years (I am 50). Some years it is 3"x 3" and some years - like now for example- I have a large area that is 9" x 9"- a very large area to cover. Although I am as comfortable with my condition as I can be during stressful periods of my life my anxiety leads to an added feeling of shame and guilt for my pulling. At these times it makes it so much harder to reach out to someone for help or guidance. My best friend lives in Dallas and I was traveling here to spend some time with her and was referred to LC Wigs by another well respected shop here in town. I have never been treated more kindly than I was at this shop. So many beautiful wigs to choose from and her experience is amazing. The owner helped me find a wig yesterday. She was so kind, warm, and caring. She and I selected 5 or so wigs to try on. After I had each wig on she showed me various hairstyles that I could wear with that wig, like putting one side of the wig behind my ear. She would comb the wig so that the hair fell a little differently from the way it fell when I first put on the wig. She was very good at finding wigs that worked for me and in helping me pick the right color for the wig. I had visited MiMi's wigs earlier in the day and my experience at LC Wigs was much, much better. read more

After searching for a wig off and on for 1 year I made an appt at LC wigs and the owner found me a beautiful wig that I Love Love Love!!! I have compliments every day and no one can believe it's a wig!!! The owner is upfront and honest and matched me with the perfect wig that compliments my face and complexion. I can't say enough good things about my experience here, mrs. Martin knows wigs and worked hard to find me the perfect one. WARNING! My experience in trying to purchase a topper was a most unprofessional business transaction. I was asked to pay up front for the shop to order a topper that would match my hair color. Two toppers were ordered, however, neither of them were the right color. The owner called to tell me because I did not take either of the toppers, I would be charged a 15% restocking fee of ($210) or I must take one of the toppers which did not match my hair color. NO REFUNDS. I never left the store with a topper (or product). I have had to file a complaint with my credit card company and dispute the $1515.50 charge. The merchant is disputing this transaction in which I never left the shop with any product. Stay away from doing business with this shop. read more
