When I called the main office they said they had let me know of the cancellation, but I never received a text, call, or email. I was frustrated, and they treated me like it was my fault. The next appointment they scheduled me for was on Memorial Day (5/25), when they are closed. They texted me a confirmation the day before (image attached), so I showed up and they were closed. Burned me twice.

There were pictures of pets on the wall which was cute, and I was told that they are a family friendly office. (We did joke that my pet rats wouldn't be allowed.) The assistant, Charity, was kind, and I'm very nervous of medical things in general so that was a good sign. However, I got a bad feeling when I met Dr. Cane, which would go on to become even more nervewracking. I had to explain I was a new patient and go over medical details. When she asked if I had previously had any teeth extracted, and I said yes, she said she felt horrible for me, that God doesn't make mistakes, etc. (I thought about this afterwards, and I wish I had said something along the lines of, "You're wearing magnified glasses to look in my mouth. If God intended for you to be a dentist, then wouldn't God have given you better vision?" I don't say this to mock any religion or belief, but to emphasize that teeth can indeed need help, and a dentist should know that.) Then she examined my mouth and concluded that my upper jaw didn't have room for enough teeth because my tongue wasn't in the right position, and that if I held my tongue to the roof of my mouth consciously and constantly, it would make my upper jaw bigger somehow, and if I had done that before, I wouldn't have needed any teeth extracted? Lastly, (and this isn't as big of a deal as the other two), she was often patting me on the shoulder, and she was very close to me the whole time. So that's my reason for the 1-star review. I was very uncomfortable because of this, and I hope this review helps someone have a better understanding of what kind of place this is. From what I could tell, the staff were for the most part kind. I hope that if they read this, they understand it is nothing against them. I do fear repercussions for this review, especially since I am a person who may not be able to go to a different office due to insurance and other issues. But I think it's more important that I help steer others from what seems to be a messy situation.

I originally saw his father, and Dr. Ian has inherited all the skills and patience that his father had. I also go in regularly for dental hygiene with Maria, and am just as happy with her work to keep my teeth looking and feeling healthy! Maria works quickly and I always walk away feeling like I have a new set of teeth. The office is in a beautifully restored Craftsman style house near Highway 101 and also close to Poly. It is clean, calm and relaxing. The front office staff is also attentive and patient. They can navigate the intricacies of billing and scheduling with cheer and ease. Dr. Ian also works on Saturdays, and they can fit you in should you have a dental emergency. They can also recommend specialists in the area if you need further work like dental surgery. The only downside for me is that they are out of my dental insurance provider, but I still get partial reimbursement. I would never go anywhere else because the quality of the work here is worth paying a bit extra for!

However, I have been pleasantly surprised as Dr. Ng and his staff have provided me with outstanding service, even during COVID-19. I have been here for routine check-ups, cleanings, and x-rays, and also for fillings and more extensive work. All of it has been of the highest caliber and I am very pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Ng and his practice! I have a few crowns that need to be replaced and will be going back to Dr. Ng to have them done. He uses the best materials for crowns, which is very important - especially for someone like me who has bruxism and grinds my teeth at night. Dr. Ng also made a new nightguard for me that is much more comfortable and stays in my mouth. The dental hygienists are wonderful, friendly, and thorough. I have had a few of them, and all of them are outstanding. When I leave after having my teeth cleaned, they feel and look amazing. I am very pleased with this dental practice!

I am still in pain months after my work and need to get my tooth redone. I tried to reach out to the office and never got a call back. Granted, I only called once, but still, no empathy for my pain was given. I am going to a different dentist for the rework. Someone who has more experience on tooth fractures and is able to admit if they can not do a precise job without leaving exposed dentin on the back side of my tooth. He was very kind at first, but I believe this was a big money job and he was just eager to cash out rather then make sure that he could perform a more than sufficient job for his patient. After all, this is my front tooth! It is a big deal and I am going to have to live the rest of my life with this "new" tooth. I want someone who understands that the tooth should be as close to perfection as possible, not all jagged and rough and painful.

Oral Surgeons are the last thing I thought I would ever take the time to submit a review on, but…read morethe service and care I have received from both Dr. Bush and Dr. Weaver warrant my time. I had an impacted Wisdom tooth and a very large cyst partially removed from my lower left jaw. To further complicate the issue, I had developed a bad infection from that Wisdom tooth. Needless to say, the entire staff from reception, dental assistants, scheduling, and of course the Doctors themselves were very professional, helpful, caring, and had more than enough time for me to ask all my questions and get honest, professional answers. The procedure itself was "a walk in the park" and post treatment instructions were very clear and precise. But what I wanted to comment on, was the follow up I received from CCOMS after my bill was paid and most surgeons would move on to their next patient. I have been back 5 times (within 2 weeks of the surgery) between Dr. Bush and Dr. Weaver for post treatment exams and "check-ups" just to keep an eye on me and how my partial cyst removal is healing..... ALL WITHOUT CHARGE! Never have I been to any type of doctor without being asked for a copay or charging my insurance. Can't say enough how happy I am that CCOMS has been my provider of oral surgery. Obviously I hope I never have to use their services again, but if I do, it will truly be painless.

But his credentials look good so I still considered him. I asked for a second opinion and paid another $150 to talk to Dr. Bush in the same practice. I was willing to do that to get the best care. Ultimately, I chose Dr. Weaver because he is also an MD and I would need to be put under. Today was supposed to be my surgery. I arrived on time and waited in the office for an hour. When I asked what was going on, the reception said they were behind and fixing up two rooms for the other person in the lobby so the surgeon could work on us both. What?? I am here for surgery, not a tandem get er' done fix it. To top it off, at that moment, after waiting an hour, I found out I had been booked with Dr. Bush and not the doctor I had requested! Everything felt wrong, so I asked for a refund and left the office. This is the first time I have felt the need to write a review for a business, it was shockingly bad.

Thanks to the review about the LANAP procedure from another yelper here it convinced me to give the…read moretreatment another look. Saving the "original equipment" was how Dr. Colleran put it at my consult and it really stuck with me. Losing teeth is a big deal to me and I don't take what the 3+ dentists now who told me I'd lose teeth soon lightly. I basically started crying when he told me that he could, in fact, save my teeth in one or two appointments using this procedure. I've been in pain for years with no hope in sight so I was amazed to hear anything positive. Denise and Sonia in the front office have been an amazing support to me and urged me to come in for a consult regardless if my insurance would cover anything. They both told me I have options and could afford this procedure and get financing. I've seen 3 dentists now who told me I would have to have full upper and lower dentures and was quoted over $10k to do that work which would take 6 months to a year. The last dentist I saw said periodontal treatments would cost me more and "don't work". This procedure was definitely not pleasant but I can already tell (2 weeks post op) how much better my gums look and feel. I think this will save my teeth and gums and greatly improve my life. I will keep this review updated for anyone thinking about doing the procedure. Do it. It's worth it and WORKS. I had both sides done at once in a 3hr appointment with Dr. Colleran. It wasn't fun but let me tell you him and his staff are badasses and KNOW what they are doing. They were very gentle and kept me updated on what was going on when I asked. I personally decided to listen to an audiobook with headphones due to anxiety which I suggest to anyone getting a major procedure like this. No, the staff was not chatty but they were focused on making me comfortable and getting the work done ASAP. That really matters to me. I also personally think that is always so awkward to chat while getting work done because hello, you can't talk anyway! I loved at the end the sweet assistant put lip balm on and it made me feel cared for. She def did whatever she could to make me more comfortable. I am 6wks post op and completely amazed by this procedure. I got a lump over a particularly bad gum section and they redid that portion of my gums and sent me on my way. They even found a way to charge the insurance for my first cleaning. I'm so impressed by this office and can definitely say I'll be a patient with them for a long time.
