If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would, because the owner Jessica goes over and beyond to ensure her customers receive quality service from start to finish. I found this bakery on Google as my family hosted my baby shower in the area, considering it's a major holiday and graduation events Jessica fit my order request into her already busy schedule. On the day of pick up, Jessica was placing finishing touches on the cake and wanted to make sure it set properly. The cake was so beautiful and exactly what I envisioned that I forgot to place the custom name topper on the cake‍ The cake was not only aesthetically beautiful, but each ingredient popped out the blueberries, lemon zest, vanilla, cream, and a slight hint of coconut were all evidence that she truly uses fresh ingredients and makes everything in house. I was planning my son's graduation party and since I was making the food, I figured I would order the cake. We went in to order some cupcakes so we could sample the flavors that were listed on the website. However, when we were there, the woman behind the counter seemed extremely bothered that we came in. I quickly learned she had a client coming in for a wedding cake tasting so she didn't even want to answer questions. I explained what we were there for and she informed us that she doesn't actually have cake/cupcakes during store hours - only on Fridays and a small window of time at that. I inquired about the key lime because it's my son's favorite and I was told that she doesn't typically have them because they are so expensive to make - I make them and I don't find them any more expensive and yes, I bake from scratch. How am I supposed to order a cake from a bakery without ever sampling the product? We were going to buy the cupcakes so I feel like she is losing business and she was rude on top of it. Jessica made us a two-tiered wedding cake and two dozen chocolate cupcakes for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary party. The bottom tier of our cake was decorated with white rosettes and the top was left plain so we could add our own flowers and cake topper. The result was not only beautiful, it tasted incredibly delicious. The cake was light, fluffy, and moist and the texture of the buttercream icing was surprisingly light and very creamy (not like that hard, sugary icing you have to choke down with a lot of bakery cakes). I also loved that the icing was not overly sweet. The chocolate cupcakes had the same wonderful texture as the cake and were also perfectly sweetened. We actually took both cake and cupcake leftovers on the plane back home to Denver and everything stayed fresh-tasting for as long as we could keep them around. We stopped by to pick up the cake on the Saturday morning of the party. Jessica was there by herself trying to get her weekend orders out. She carefully boxed up the cake and walked it out to the car for us. Even though she was busy, she took the time to carefully place the cake on my lap in the passenger seat and explain to me how to hold the box like a water glass so it didn't tip in any direction. She also explained to my brother-in-law that the secret to not ruining the cake during transport is all in the driving. I'm happy to report the cake made it to the party venue unscathed. Jessicakes is more than just a place to get cakes and cupcakes for special occasions. Different cupcake flavors are featured daily or you can try other goodies such as pies, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, muffins, and cinnamon rolls. The bakery also sells boxed lunches with your choice of sandwiches, salads, and soups. As you might expect, everything is made from scratch. If the other sweet and savory treats are as good as the cake and cupcakes we enjoyed, you are guaranteed some scrumptious eats. I highly recommend a visit to this yummy bakery! read more

Made a delicious strawberry cake for my daughter's birthday last year. Also, made her a huge delicious chocolate smash cake as well!

Here is a before and after picture of the cake she made for my daughter's birthday. Not even 24 hours later sitting on a table in a cool kitchen, we open the box and find it looks like a bomb exploded on the top. The top layer was nothing but icing and what appears to be ganache trying to hold up fondant. It couldn't support it and collapsed completely and left us with a destroyed cake that was unrecognizable and a disappointed birthday girl. I reached out right away and let her know what happened assuming she would try to resolve the situation and NEVER even responded, even though it's been several days later. I don't like to leave negative reviews but this was a waste of money and poor customer service. We will never use her again and o would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere to someone that takes pride in their work and how they treat people. read more

I did a search to find a bakery in the area Jessicakes popped up. I went to the website and it appeared to be a store front bakery. I stopped by and it still appeared to be a storefront however, when I went in the young lady behind the counter seemed bothered that I was there. I asked a few questions and through my questions I learned they are not a storefront and I came in a lucky day because they had a customer that didn't pick up a cake so they had some cake slices and cupcakes but typically they only have cupcakes on Friday's. This is very random and was not communicated on the website. I went ahead and purchased some cupcakes including red velvet and the icing was delicious however, the cupcake did not taste like red velvet. Not sure this matters unless you are available on Friday's to pick up cup cakes. read more
