I was last minute trying to get a lip and brow wax today before my trip. I called several places around McKinney/Allen/Frisco.... Most places did not answer or were by appointment only. I get it most places are like that now; but usually you can find a few places that take walk ins. Lucky for me this place answered and had availability to fit me in. It's been a while since I've had a wax, but I was able to book my appointment online using my old login from the Plano location. This location is was easy to find, (next to Sprouts) and even though they have only been open a week and the staff really have their stuff together. The check in and out process was quick, with just 1 page of general paperwork and The lobby area is super cute and the waxing room I was in was bright and clean with a nice layout. Melissa S. was quick and efficient with my wax and made the process as painless as possible. I spent most of my appointment laughing at her jokes and chatting, and it definitely helped keep my mind off what was happening below my waistline. The wax is the no-strip kind, and I watched a brand new stick go in the wax for every use. I was out the door start to finish in less than an hour, and my end result is perfectly smooth! My Brazilian cost $60, and they have the same No Tipping policy as the other locations. I'll definitely be back! read more

First I would like to say that the staff are absolutely amazing! Friendly and helpful! Secondly I find their company policy of no tipping refreshing and absolutely awesome. I mean spa and grooming services are already expensive then not only is a tip pretty much mandatory nowadays, but most pleases I have been to strongly suggest a minimum of 20% which adds up. So the fact that what you see is what you truly pay is awesome. While I have used this establishment to get a wax before and they do a great job on that, today I got a lash lift and tint. This is also my first time every getting a lash lift and/or tint so it was an interesting experience. Esthetician wAlked me through the whole process and checked with me throughout the services to see how I was doing. After pictures were taken as I had agreed to before and afters. Then when I went to pay $20 was taken off because of a promotion or deal they have regarding birthdays. Apparently, I had not used mine so they took $20 off. It was a very cool surprise. The rating of 4 is because honestly there were a few things they could change. For example there are 2 towels they place on the bedding which I'm sure is so they do not have to change it as often. Which I get, just not what a 5 would be. The lift is subtle and the tint makes the color slightly darker. So when combined it looks nice but not fake lashes nice. Which is fine because that's not what they are. I guess what I am trying to say is that you need to understand there will not be a crazy difference, just a slight improvement on your natural beauty. I would recommend doing both or not at all if you are a fair haired individual. Overall great job :) read more

I visited Peace Love Wax and needed to get a full leg done while I'm in town since I normally go to a different wax salon in a different state while in college. It was a pleasant experience during the wax minus the feeling that the girl waxing my legs kept apologizing for the wax pulling my leg/skin on my leg...yeah, I got home and realized that the inside of my legs (in between my legs where my thighs touch because I lost roughly 100 pounds and am still a plus size women) looked completely untouched from the wax at all. Normally when I get my legs waxed at my home salon they do a thorough job and make sure to politely and appropriately ask if I can spread my legs a little more because no thigh gap here and they ask in a way that has never made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't feel like Peace Love Wax is a good choice if you want your full leg waxed as a plus size woman with bigger legs because you won't get a full leg done. I couldn't tell that she hadn't waxed the inside of my legs until I got home because of the lighting in the salon. Anyways, the women at the salon ARE super nice and it seemed inviting when you go in. Clean, minimal. But I do think that there's some improvement in terms of knowing how to be comfortable with clientele who have bigger legs, or at least have the knowledge that it's literally fine and not awkward to ask a client at any size to change the position you are waxing their legs at in order to get all the hair removed..for their full leg wax. Disappointed and will probably find a different spot for my next wax while I'm still in the area that I feel like would make me more comfortable and also do a thorough job. read more
