Makeup application felt good and worked well for my event. I didn't love the lashes and removed them before the event. Would have preferred the baby lash add in versus the whole glam lashes...just not for me. I didn't think about the need to ask to scale it back, so that's on me. I recently visited BAM Legacy West for both hair and makeup services for a wedding, and unfortunately, it was a complete waste of time and money. Let's start with the hair. The stylist who worked on my hair was friendly, but the service felt rushed. She left the clips in my hair to set while I had my makeup done, which was totally fine, but when she removed them, my hair was left looking incomplete. It wasn't properly finished, but the stylist had already moved on to a new client and I actually had to ask the receptionist if my hair was done. She seemed to question it as well so she called over another stylist to help fix it. At that point, I was already at the checkout, so the situation felt a bit unorganized. As for the makeup, the artist was lovely and pleasant, but it became clear there wasn't a standardized process for makeup application. I specifically mentioned that I have oily skin, yet she started with moisturizer she already had in hand and then immediately applied foundation, which felt a bit counterproductive. I also noticed some odd layering techniques--cream products were applied, then set with powder, followed by more cream products on top, which caused my makeup to break down almost instantly. While the artist's skill set seemed fine, the way the products were applied didn't work well for my skin. I didn't have the time to ask for a touch-up, but even if I had, the amount of product layered on would have made it impossible to fix. All in all, I left feeling like the services were disjointed and lacking attention to detail. I had hoped for a polished and cohesive experience, but it fell short in both the hair and makeup departments. My makeup was not salvageable (had to rush home to take off). I will say as I looked around, there just seems to be varying skill levels of stylists, which I wish I would have known. I came here excited to have a blowout for my birthday, but this didn't turn out as expected. I've had blow outs before and they've been amazing, but I feel I could have saved my money and do a better job myself. I paid extra for the scalp massage which wasn't bad, not great either. She asked me if I wanted some volume and I said yes. I told her I wanted soft, romantic curls. She dried my hair and then curled it with the curling iron. First of all as you can see in the picture- my part isn't even straight down the middle. It's crooked. It looks greasy and it was super sticky. I did ask for hairspray just didn't know it would be extremely sticky. She asked if I wanted her to comb through the curls or let them fall on their own. I said let's have them fall on their own. I came in today to get my hair and makeup done for engagement pictures. My hair turned out lovely, but the makeup was a little disappointing so that is why I gave this place 4 stars. I'm was quite surprised that they didn't have foundation or concealer that matched my skin tone. The artist had to mix a couple foundations together to try to get close but there was still an orange line on my neckline. The false eye lash application was sub-par at first also, but I went back in and she fixed it. read more

I tried really hard to like this facility, but everything about it was way below average. The front desk attendant was rude and unprofessional. After we had a little confrontation at check in, she continued to gossip about the situation, pointing, staring and whispering while I was getting my makeup done. When I confronted her at check out she had nothing to say, not even an apology for her rude behavior.
