I was going to the Dollar Tree to kill 30 minutes of time when I walked by this large, spacious, and well-lit salon. I realized I needed a haircut, so I walked in and asked Kim at the counter how much a women's haircut for long hair would cost. I had some issues understanding her accent and she thought I was asking for my mom, but when I found out it was $15, I said I'd do it. I sat down in the first chair in the completely empty salon (Jessica was sweeping) and told Kim to cut off 2 inches, layer the hair, and give me side-swept bangs. This is a pretty common look, nothing fancy or special. She went cutting super fast (it was 6:30 and they were closing at 7, and I had a meeting to go to at 7 anyways) and after about 10 minutes she declared she was finished and showed me the mirror. It kinda looked almost the same length (maybe an inch shorter?) and there weren't really any layers. Usually people use a straightening iron on me at the end but she just blow dried my hair, which is fine, but it didn't look as impressive. My bangs were too short for side sweeping. Hopefully those will grow out normally. When I saw my boyfriend later, he couldn't tell I got a haircut at all. Kind of a waste of $18 for a trim...if I didn't have a meeting to go to I would've asked her to take her time and do a better job. Usually when I walk out of a salon, even if it's just a $10-12 cut, I find myself wondering how long I can go without washing my hair to keep it looking as nice as it does right now. But when I walked out of this salon, I thought my hair was almost exactly the same as when I went in, which is not impressive at all. read more

I've been going here for years and never really completely was satisfied but after my last visit I decided I'd had it. I walked in 45 minutes before closing to be scolded for walking on the tile (they were mopping). Jessica usually waxed my eyebrows but I didn't see her so I asked for her. She was in the back getting her hair done. She still took me to wax my brows but when she handed me the mirror (signifying that she was done) I saw a few large black hairs that she did not bother pulling when she touched up with the tweezers. I comment on that & she just handed them to me to do myself. I got up & walked to pay & got scolded again for where I walked threw down a $10 bill and left. A-OK indeed. My mom gets her nails done here and she says Jessica is the best she has been to because of the way she treats her ingrown toenail and the fact that she has great customer service for repeat clients. I myself have gotten mani-pedi's here and it was pretty good. Their pedicure chairs are very comfy and everything in this studio is brand new because they redid it about a year ago. It's always got a steady clientele coming in and out. We also hosted a bride/bridesmaid nail party here the day before our wedding and they gave us a group discount and were very efficient with keeping the party moving. Deduct 2 stairs because the time my Mom got her hair done here it was so bad she actually cried! And another because they're not always on time with appointments. Long story short I asked a friend to dye my hair two months ago at her house. The results was a mess to be honest after two months. Than yesterday another friend of mine recommended me to this salon and hooked me up as hair emergency. Today one of the hairstylist, Kim restored my hair to my natural form with a simple twist. I'm very happy and relieved to have my hair back. The service and the atmosphere felt relaxing. I really really like this place. I'm usually pretty skeptical about trying out a new salon but I was in the area and I was in a desperate need of a touch up. I chose out a lighter red/brown color for hi-lites to bring some dimension to my hair. Jamie did a superb job. She talked to me about my face shape and what kind of cut would work best to frame my eyes. I ran with it and I got non-stop compliments from my coworkers. I'll give this place 3 stars because of their hospitality, their cleanliness, and their pedicures. I absolutely LOVE their pedicures. I never get more relaxed than I do here. The only thing is that I'm allergic to their lotion they use for massages so I always have to ask them to spray me down with alcohol then quickly apply some hypoallergenic lotion I keep with me to keep the itch down. BUT. BUT BUT BUT. DO NOT GET WAXED HERE! Please. I wanted to see if they were as good waxers as they are pedicurists. The answer is no. FIRST OF ALL--they let the wax sit and reheat it when necessary = double the stickiness = double the OUCH factor, and I'm talking BEFORE they even pull the strip off of you! Second--they DOUBLE FRIGGIN DIP. YUCK! I seriously wanted to kill myself. OH. AND it costs $45 and she didn't even get all of it, AND it definitely hurt more than getting tattooed--which hurts very much by the way. If you want to get a mani-pedi, this is definitely the place to go, but leave the waxing to the specialists. Hope this helps! read more

I had heard about this place because my son was stopping by to get nails trimmed. I needed to get old gel job removed, done by someone else in another city. Kim took me right in and got it removed, so I thought, why not get a manicure. I wanted a darker tone than she had, so she cleverly put a dark base coat under the lighter shade that was the right color, and that made it look the deep color I wanted. I noticed that a former neighbor was in there getting his son's hair cut, and we had a nice chat. One hairdresser was waiting for a customer to get done with their nails, and Katherine nicely squeezed me in for a quick trim. Gave me a few new tips on styling my long curly hair. Looked real good. this is a good place to go if you're a little old lady. my great aunt gets her hair done here and whenever i drop her off or pick her up the other customers are all elderly white women. the woman who does my aunt's hair is older as well, but most of the employees are younger. i think she only works part time. it takes 2 hours for my aunt to get a cut and perm, no color. men's hair cuts are 7.99, according to the banner outside. read more

I got home late and drove Round looking for a haircut place that was open. This place was open and was a $8 haircut. I walked in and proceeded to get my haircut and then she said she would wash my hair. I was like ok. She washed my hair and then she started massaging my head and back. It felt great. I though all this for $8, I'm coming here all the time. What I didn't know was that I agreed supposedly to a $5 massage that lasted 5min. I didn't bother arguing, and figured the $5 extra was worth it. I just didn't realize it was an up-charge. read more

I asked for a trim of 3 inches, and I got 6 inches cut off for the majority of my hair and about 8 for my front pieces?! Not to mention it's unbelievably uneven, I wouldn't recommend this place for a haircut. I have to go get it fixed by somewhere else tomorrow now. read more

Im a regular (now) and the owner, jessica sold me over on the fact that she really knows how to care for feet. I had an issue from visiting other salons in the past where it was causing painful in grown nails. Ive been going to jessica and she has been helping to fix my issue and always gives me a good foot rub for my aching feet not to mention they offer this at a pretty good price. They don't offer any extravagant nail art but they get the job done and its never overcrowded to a point where its unbearable. read more

I've gotten a mani-pedi from Jessica's a few times, and each time I've been more than satisfied about the quality of service. The tub for my feet is always clean, they wash/sterilize their tools, and Jessica has always taken me right on time when I've made an appointment. Jessica is really friendly, talkative, and sincere. I used to get my haircut from Danny, but he doesn't work there anymore. So I've tried Kim, and I told her exactly how to cut my hair. She said she understood and proceeded to cut my hair as if she completely forgot everything I said. Not only that, she cut one side too deep and it looked a little bald. Even she noticed this. So when she held up the mirror to show me my hair, she would avoid the side that she messed up on. And she was only interested in talking and not the haircut. read more
