HOW?! I've been getting my nails done for years and years at other salons, and I know what these services typically cost. They do NOT charge an arm and a leg like this. Maybe I'm just too nice to speak up when things don't go the way I expected. I'm not going to name the nail tech because she's not the one who sets the prices the owner/manager does. Long story short: I originally agreed to get Gel-X. Somehow, I ended up getting builder gel instead. Ma'am... if I wanted builder gel, I wouldn't need you to cut my real nails down and put full tips on all 10 fingers. ‍ And another thing the tips were glued SO short. I mentioned it, and she laughed it off, but because I was already in a rush, I was being nice and said, "It's okay." So I let it go. Then came the bill... $108. What really made me question everything is that my friend got basically the same thing a new set with builder gel, PLUS designs on all 10 fingers! and she paid $70. Like... WHAT?! So yes, I definitely feel like I was overcharged, especially for a plain, super-short set. I should've spoken up, but lesson learned. I WILL NOT be coming back to this nail salon. If I'm going to spend $108 on my nails, I'll gladly put that money toward a Russian manicure or somewhere else. Unbelievable! Hate getting ripped off in this way!

Ly did my pedicure, and she was wonderful. However, when it came time for my French tip, she switched with Ivy. I politely pointed out that one side of the French tip was noticeably thinner than the other and simply asked if it could be corrected. Unfortunately, Ivy responded with an attitude, including rolling her eyes and looking toward another coworker. I remained polite and respectful throughout the interaction, so I was disappointed by the response. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I was only asking for a small correction to ensure I was happy with the service. I've had positive experiences at the Santana Row location, which is why I was disappointed with my experience at Brokaw. I hope the staff can take feedback from customers professionally and maintain a welcoming environment, even when a customer politely asks for an adjustment.
