So happy with our lunch choice! We were visiting from out of town and stopped by for lunch here. When we walked in I was surprised at how cute and cozy the place was. Everything was clean and tidy (including the restroom). Our waitress was very kind and helpful on recommendations. I ended up getting the sriracha chicken bites with rice and beans and macaroni. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so good-not spicy at all. The macaroni reminded me of soup flavors but not soup, it was good! The beans and rice had such great flavors. A lot of times I order beans from places (it's a staple for me) and I will get some bland bowl of beans, but here....I was in bean heaven haha all the flavors complimented each other. The portion was great but I wasn't able to finish it. My daughter got the kids shrimp and she ate every bite. We ordered a guava and cream cheese pastry for dessert which I do not regret. It was a perfect choice. 10/10 recommend. If we lived closer I'd be here way too often for that pastry. read more

We were traveling back to Chattanooga and searched the area and found this place. It's a quaint little place. Very clean and decorated cute. We loved the ambiance as we came in. Jess was our server and did an awesome job not only with us, but the several tables around us. I had the Parmesan Chicken and Zucchini. It was very good. My wife had the Monterrey Chicken and Mashed potatoes and she said it was tasty as well. We started with a chicken quesadillas and it was awesome! Worth stopping in and having a meal here. Visited my mom in Lake City and tried this place for the first time. I loved it so much I made her go back a 2nd time in 6 days! The spinach artichoke fondue was amazing!!! The fish with lemon caper sauce and French onion soup were also delicious. Visited here a couple of times for lunch and I'm in love! I'm in the area a lot visiting family, and I like to try out new spots for lunch when I'm working. I found this cute place on Google Maps. I couldn't decide between the Sriracha Chicken or the Sriracha Shrimp wrap initially. I eventually went with the Shrimp and sautéed Zucchini on the side because I wanted something lighter than french fries. I was very happy with the portions. S/N: Don't sleep on the Zucchini! It was sooo good and fresh. Julie took my order over the phone and she checked me out when I got there. She was SO NICE, I was shocked bc she was super busy taking care of tables as well. She even made sure I had sauces, napkins, and cutlery in the bag without me asking. *the way to my heart* I would definitely recommend Jessica's Bistro if you're in the area. Stopped on our way back to Florida at this little gem. The food was delicious. Part Cuban part American. My husband got black beans and white rice and a chef salad. He said that it was loaded with ham, turkey and cheese. I got the summer salad without cheese. It had grilled chicken, candied walnuts, grapes, apple slices, and cranberries. The service was great. Loved the whole ambiance which makes you feel warm and comfortable with great Christmas decor so the kids were amused to take a walk around the Resturant. Don't let the location trick you--real deal Cuban-centered menu, heavy on big, filling sandwiches, fresh salads, and all sorts of specials. For lunch we did the turkey wrap, plantains (don't miss these) and a special of their in-house made fried chicken nuggets over a very saucy and tasty Mac and cheese. If I traveled this way I would stop here a lot. Fresh food, friendly service and prompt service too, even with just one waitress. 1-Parking: Plenty, really plenty of parking in this strip mall area, next to I-75, easily could park an RV. Seating and ambiance: You will be welcomed by a sign that says seat anywhere you like. Tables and booth are available, Bistro style decorated with dark ceilings, lighted by string patio lights offer that calm and casual feeling. Some well known spanish, caribbean music coming from the kitchen spilled into the dining room, otherwise a quiet place to dine or have lunch. Service: We were greeted and served by a knowledgeable bilingual server, a plus if you have questions about some spanish, cuban cuisine items in the menu. Food: Our appetizer consisted of The Signature Sriracha Chicken, hand breaded and tossed, bathed in sweet and spicy sauce, really good because it was mild and not strong at all. My main entry was the Mojo Steak, a thin sliced steak supposed to be cooked in mojo sauce. I was dissapointed at the temperature of the steak and it's flavor, it did not have a mojo or any flavor or any other seasoning that would make it stand apart, just the onions on top. The white rice, black beans and sweet plaintains had all the good taste of good cuban cuisine, served hot, well seasoned black beans, pleasant and delightfull "maduros" (sweet plantains). From 1 to 10, I have to give it a 7 due to the steak being unseasoned, lacking flavor and served in a less than hot manner. At the temperature served would have been good for a sandwich not for a main dish that was supposed to be cooked in mojo sauce. read more

Stopped in for a bite as we finish our ride home. An unassuming spot inside a strip mall off the beaten path. There was a steady stream of folks coming in as well as picking up to go so this place has a following I got the pocadillo. Really good. Great flavors all around. I ordered the veggies instead of black beans and plantains. These were grilled with intense flavors. Really really good. Deb had the Mojo steak sandwich. Really good as well. Have been here a few times, every time I come it gets a little smaller, or things change around, always trying to update and change the interior. The food has been consistent though with plenty of options including a vegetarian section. I got the mushroom wrap with the seasoned fries and it was really good and the fries had the perfect crisp. The service was a bit slow. The waitress never came to refill our water or check on us, but, I believe she was the only waitress and there were a few other parties so I can understand when there isn't the staff available. read more

Passing through on I-75 and wanted lunch in a place not crowded but with great food. Jessica's provided just that. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and the food was delicious. We got the Lechon Asada with black beans and rice and a turkey Cuban with sweet potato fries. The pork was tender and perfectly seasoned with the onions and peppers. The black beans were seasoned well. The turkey Cuban wasn't on the menu, but our server gladly made the substitution since I can't have pork. It was amazing. The roasted turkey was roasted in house--you could tell by the flavors. We got the check-in freebie of a siracha chicken appetizer to go since we couldn't even finish our lunch. Found this on our way from Florida to Georgia. Right off I 75. Truly a hidden gem!! Absolutely outstanding Cuban food. My husband said it's the best Cuban sandwich he's ever had. He had the Mac and cheese as a side, and it was also outstanding. I ordered the picadillo empanadas, which were excellent. The beans and salsa verde had super flavor. Went here with some work colleagues on the way to some an event. If i could give it 3 1/2 stars I would. Service was good. The woman was very friendly. The dining room was clean and nicely decorated. Our food came out quickly and everything was hot. I got the Cuban sandwich and tostones, my colleagues got the Monterey Chicken with fries and salad and the Masitas Pork. The plantains were very good. The Cuban was a little soggier than I prefer and lighter on the mustard than I like, but it was still tasty. What a gem to find during a road trip from FL back to GA! I was shocked when I was looking for places along the Highway, and saw this place with all the outstanding reviews. I checked out the pics and reviews, and got excited! We stopped in about lunch time on our way back from thanksgiving break. We had been surviving off road trip snacks, and wanted something healthy, not fast food junk. We parked in their parking lot-- a little strip mall area, and we're greeted with a friendly face upon entrance. There was a specials board there to read, we were seated quickly into a booth. It's a cute and cozy little spot. Everything on the menu sounded good. We didn't want to eat too heavy, so we decided to share the Bistek plate (steak w grilled onions), with rice, Cuban beans (soupy black beans), maduros (sweet plantains), as well as a side salad- basic but fresh and tasty! We also got one empanada that came with homemade salsa verde. And my son got the bacon Mac and cheese side- big enough for a meal for him. We ordered a little cafecito-- a Cordatito (Cuban coffee w cream and sugar). All was so good!! All the food was bursting with flavor! Simple, but just done well! Like a really good, fresh, homecooked meal, at your Cuban grandma's house. Even the white rice was perfect: moist and fresh. The beans had a lot of flavor! Empanada was perfect. The Bistek with everything was amazing. Tender and flavorful. My son loved his bacon Mac and cheese and asked me to put bacon in all Mac and cheese from now on lol. The little Cuban coffee was a great midday pick me up, for our long drive. We were very happy with everything here. Negatives were...sketchy area, dark parking lot, our booth had tape covering tears in seats, not exactly clean and there is no ambiance. 2 Entrees with 2 sides, drinks and apps $50.
