Visited my mom in Lake City and tried this place for the first time. I loved it so much I made her go back a 2nd time in 6 days! The spinach artichoke fondue was amazing!!! The fish with lemon caper sauce and French onion soup were also delicious. Service was super friendly and the place feels like it's part of a much more vibrant scene than DT Lake City is looking these days.

Visited here a couple of times for lunch and I'm in love! I'm in the area a lot visiting family, and I like to try out new spots for lunch when I'm working. I found this cute place on Google Maps. I couldn't decide between the Sriracha Chicken or the Sriracha Shrimp wrap initially. I eventually went with the Shrimp and sautéed Zucchini on the side because I wanted something lighter than french fries. I was very happy with the portions. S/N: Don't sleep on the Zucchini! It was sooo good and fresh. Julie took my order over the phone and she checked me out when I got there. She was SO NICE, I was shocked bc she was super busy taking care of tables as well. She even made sure I had sauces, napkins, and cutlery in the bag without me asking. *the way to my heart* I would definitely recommend Jessica's Bistro if you're in the area. I'm excited to come back and bring my family for dinner one day. Until next time!

Stopped on our way back to Florida at this little gem. The food was delicious. Part Cuban part American. My husband got black beans and white rice and a chef salad. He said that it was loaded with ham, turkey and cheese. I got the summer salad without cheese. It had grilled chicken, candied walnuts, grapes, apple slices, and cranberries. The service was great. I didn't get the waitresses name but she was very attentive. The restaurant was nice in a strip mall with other businesses. The restaurant was clean. This was definitely a great place.

This is a nice Cuban Resturant and the food is just great! Loved the whole ambiance which makes you feel warm and comfortable with great Christmas decor so the kids were amused to take a walk around the Resturant. I had found a coupon on google maps but the attendant was unsure of how to honor it yet they were trying to accommodate my request but then I found the same on Yelp and they quickly got confirmation ! Must visit to try some new taste.

An excellent and generous sized Cuban sandwich with crispy fries served fresh. I also tried that empanadas and they were okay. Service was good and friendly and the décor was pleasant. The air conditioning was a bit aggressive for February and we had to finish our meals quickly to escape the cold.

    Masitas Puerca was absolutely DIVINE.

We stopped in after reading great reviews on Yelp on our recent drive to Alabama from Orlando. Thankful to have found this fantastic spot! A bit of a hole in the wall place, with good, homemade food. I really think their menu would be better ALL Cuban... the Cuban food was so good! Hard to find authentic food this far north. Will definitely return.

Impressive local place, stuck away in a strip shopping center. Don't let the location trick you--real deal Cuban-centered menu, heavy on big, filling sandwiches, fresh salads, and all sorts of specials. For lunch we did the turkey wrap, plantains (don't miss these) and a special of their in-house made fried chicken nuggets over a very saucy and tasty Mac and cheese. If I traveled this way I would stop here a lot. Fresh food, friendly service and prompt service too, even with just one waitress. (We were there on a Saturday) but I really liked the mix of folks, all types made welcome. Simple place but great vibe.

1-Parking: Plenty, really plenty of parking in this strip mall area, next to I-75, easily could park an RV. Seating and ambiance: You will be welcomed by a sign that says seat anywhere you like. Tables and booth are available, Bistro style decorated with dark ceilings, lighted by string patio lights offer that calm and casual feeling. Some well known spanish, caribbean music coming from the kitchen spilled into the dining room, otherwise a quiet place to dine or have lunch. Service: We were greeted and served by a knowledgeable bilingual server, a plus if you have questions about some spanish, cuban cuisine items in the menu. Food: Our appetizer consisted of The Signature Sriracha Chicken, hand breaded and tossed, bathed in sweet and spicy sauce, really good because it was mild and not strong at all. My main entry was the Mojo Steak, a thin sliced steak supposed to be cooked in mojo sauce. I was dissapointed at the temperature of the steak and it's flavor, it did not have a mojo or any flavor or any other seasoning that would make it stand apart, just the onions on top. The white rice, black beans and sweet plaintains had all the good taste of good cuban cuisine, served hot, well seasoned black beans, pleasant and delightfull "maduros" (sweet plantains). From 1 to 10, I have to give it a 7 due to the steak being unseasoned, lacking flavor and served in a less than hot manner. At the temperature served would have been good for a sandwich not for a main dish that was supposed to be cooked in mojo sauce.

Stopped in for a bite as we finish our ride home. An unassuming spot inside a strip mall off the beaten path. There was a steady stream of folks coming in as well as picking up to go so this place has a following I got the pocadillo. Really good. Great flavors all around. I ordered the veggies instead of black beans and plantains. These were grilled with intense flavors. Really really good. Deb had the Mojo steak sandwich. Really good as well. Great flavors and the meat was cook perfectly. If you live in the area I am sure you know how good this place is but if you are passing through you can't go wrong stopping in for a meal.

Have been here a few times, every time I come it gets a little smaller, or things change around, always trying to update and change the interior. The food has been consistent though with plenty of options including a vegetarian section. I got the mushroom wrap with the seasoned fries and it was really good and the fries had the perfect crisp. The service was a bit slow. The waitress never came to refill our water or check on us, but, I believe she was the only waitress and there were a few other parties so I can understand when there isn't the staff available.

Found this on our way from Florida to Georgia. Right off I 75. Truly a hidden gem!! Absolutely outstanding Cuban food. My husband said it's the best Cuban sandwich he's ever had. He had the Mac and cheese as a side, and it was also outstanding. I ordered the picadillo empanadas, which were excellent. The beans and salsa verde had super flavor. Cannot say enough about how good and fresh the food was! Wish this was closer to our home as we would happily be regulars!!

Passing through on I-75 and wanted lunch in a place not crowded but with great food. Jessica's provided just that. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and the food was delicious. We got the Lechon Asada with black beans and rice and a turkey Cuban with sweet potato fries. The pork was tender and perfectly seasoned with the onions and peppers. The black beans were seasoned well. The turkey Cuban wasn't on the menu, but our server gladly made the substitution since I can't have pork. It was amazing. The roasted turkey was roasted in house--you could tell by the flavors. We got the check-in freebie of a siracha chicken appetizer to go since we couldn't even finish our lunch. We are thrilled to have found this hidden gem located just off the interstate. Kudos to the chef!

Service was great. Food was great but the shrimp wrap I got had a bit too much sauce. Cute place, very convenient to my hotel.

Arepa Milko: The Venezuelan Food Truck Turned Restaurant You Need to Try…read more If you haven't been to Arepa Milko yet: it's authentic Venezuelan dishes, delicious food and a spot that's grown from humble food truck beginnings into a legit foodie destination. Here's why this place is an absolute must-visit: Start with Tequeños (Trust Me) Begin your meal with an appetizer--yes, fried. Tequeños. Or as I like to call them: TequeñYES! These traditional Venezuelan cheese sticks had a golden crunch and released a mouthwatering aroma that hinted at the cheesy goodness inside. And that vibrant green sauce? Game over ranch. It's tangy, addictive, and honestly deserves a spot next to ranch in the sauce hall of fame. Bold claim, I know -- but it's that good. Sandwiches That'll Ruin You (In the Best Way) I tried Milko's Pulled Chicken Sandwich. That crispy fried cheese acted like food glue, holding together all the Venezuelan magic inside. The pulled chicken was juicy and flavorful, blending into every unforgettable bite. I also had the Patacón Tostón Sandwich with Pernil (slow-roasted pork). This is not your average sandwich -- it's a specialty you won't find just anywhere. The crispy green plantain "buns" were absolute perfection: crunchy on the outside, yet tender enough to hold all the layers together without falling apart. The layering? Impeccable. The juicy, seasoned pork stole the spotlight without overpowering the plantains. Every bite was an explosion of textures and bold flavors -- the kind of messy, glorious meal. Oh, and the portions? Generous doesn't even begin to cover it. Save Room for Dessert (Seriously) I even got to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and recommended the Nutella-filled Tequeños for dessert. OH. MY. GOODNESS. Absolute perfection. Warm, gooey Nutella wrapped in that crispy tequeño shell? It's everything you never knew you needed. If you've never tried a sweet twist on this iconic Venezuelan snack, consider this your official sign. Zero regrets. Zero crumbs left behind. The Vibe at Arepa Milko blends casual comfort and self-service. The original food truck still proudly stands outside, keeping the story alive. But step inside, and you'll find indoor seating, air conditioning, and an upgraded space perfect for enjoying every bite without battling the Florida heat. Final Verdict If you're looking to experience authentic Venezuelan flavors and discover rare gems like the Patacón, Arepa Milko needs to be on your foodie bucket list. From street food roots to full-on restaurant glow-up, they've earned their spot in North Florida's food hall of fame. Come hungry.
