    Spinach dip

Old mom and pop place with friendly staff and great food. Chips weren't very good for spinach dip though. Everything else was delicious

    Delicious House Salad

Jessica's Place in Delano is hands down one of the best spots to eat! The food is absolutely amazing, and the staff is always wonderful. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure customers leave happy and satisfied. Some of the highly recommended items are the Shepherd's Pie and the Country Fried Steak -- both are outstanding. The portions are generous and filling, and the quality is top notch. Everything tastes farm fresh and homemade; nothing feels reheated, and the fish is fresh with no frozen taste at all. My wife and I eat here at least once a week, and honestly, we wish it could be more often. Prices are also very reasonable, usually between $10-$20 per person, which makes it a great value for the quality you get. If you're in Delano, Jessica's Place is a must-try!

First time here after several friends told me about it. No regrets. I had the open faced roast beef and it was a plate full. Simple , country food that was well prepared. I'm a big eater and I couldn't finish the entire plate. Service was great and friendly. Steady flow of local patrons tells me the food is consistent too. I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Entire order of Farmer's omelettes and pancakes.

Jessica's Place was an unexpected treat for breakfast. Most restaurants were closed as my wife & I were traveling through Tennessee on a Sunday morning. We both ordered the Farmer's omelette (filled with chicken tenders, onions, peppers, hash browns, and cheddar cheese). The Farmer's omelette was hearty and delicious, with great texture. I also ordered a double-stack of pancakes for the table. The pancakes were bigger than expected and A+ overall. We left contently full and satisfied

The building is in disarray, the staff are rude, the food was microwaved at best. I will NEVER go back yo this place!

Best milkshakes and pancakes. Everything tasted home made and fresh. Staff could've been a little friendlier but the food made up for it.

I arrived at 9:55 AM. I noticed that there was a stand with a sign advertising eggs for sale…read more When I asked about that, the staff said that someone not associated with the restaurant sells eggs there. The person wasn't there when I arrived, but I was told that you use a QR code to shop for eggs. The restaurant itself though seems to sell their own jam, shirts, and other little things. Anyway, the bathroom was a single bathroom that was long and a little narrow. The sink is also pretty low to the ground (most likely to accommodate children), and it has paper towels. I ordered the Owner's New Favorite burrito with a side of Hashbrown Casserole, and it took 10 minutes and 40 seconds to receive them. The Hashbrown Casserole is very cheesy, but it was still good. The burrito despite being in a jalapeno cheddar tortilla wasn't spicy at all. I also found it was better to eat with your hands rather than with utensils. Overall, my breakfast was very savory and filling. I did learn upon receiving my check that if you opt to pay with a credit card (forgot to ask about debit cards), there's a 3.5% charge added to your total. Meaning its better to bring cash to this restaurant (which thankfully I had). I didn't notice a sign or anything at the front mentioning this, and if there isn't, I think they really should have one. Last 2 things I'll mention is that there is guest wi-fi here, and if you come to this restaurant on the day of your birthday (and you have ID to prove it's the day of your birthday), you'll get $13 off your meal. In the end, I had a pleasant breakfast experience here.

There aren't a lot of things that I love better than a local unique bar & restaurant with huge…read morespace, swanky decor, and a few nice surprises. Folks come in very casual attire, some arrive in fully formal clothes, and everything in between. It's a really comfortable vibe and that's something that I appreciate. Maybe you do, too? The owners are a couple and chances are they'll be the ones waiting on you, preparing your food, and treating you love a neighbor who came out to have a good time. Locals who I know LOVE it here. The food is always great, and if the have homemade egg rolls, try them. They're amazing! Also, one of the best burgers I've ever had, and among the ways that we're spoiled in Athens, we have several places with GREAT burgers. Seriously. I mean, don't come to Athens just to eat at a chain. Come on downtown and try places like this and nibble around the edges of town for a few other treats. The name is appropriate. It's THE OPEN DOOR in "the friendly city" in a small, pretty, southern town fercryinoutloud. So I expected that and T.O.D. delivered. Well, I ate-in several times and I don't even know if they Door Dash. It's just an expression, OK? This is not the review to take literally. It's still honest. I've had steak, chicken, prime rib, burgers, the aforementioned egg rolls, and a catfish dinner and it was delicious EVERY time. Every damn time. Folks enjoy the drinks here and this place has huge extra rooms that they open when it's warranted. They don't always have enough staff to be like a chain restaurant/bar and they employ some intermittent staff for busy events, so I don't come expecting a hostess type greeting, white linen, and tables set and ready. They're usually hustling to keep up, take care of their guests who are, from my observation(s), usually friends and neighbors and regulars, and a few folks who are just visiting sprinkled-in for good measure. Yet, it's not so local that the player piano stops and everyone stares when you swing through the saloon doors. Well, through the pretty front door and IF it had saloon doors. It's friendly and welcoming without people being all up in your business. If you're feeling like you're in a hurry, take a deep breath and relax and maybe sit at the bar.

Absolutely the best food in Athens. Best hamburger you can find and incredible service.read more

The cheese-sticks are AMAZING and seem to be made i house. The burgers were really thick patties which reminded me of skillet burgers growing up. The buns were cold and would've made the meal better had they been warm. Fries were incredibly salty. $45 for three meals and cheese sticks at a dinner style restaurant was a bit of a shock. We joked that they snuck in an out of towner fee.

We were apple picking in north Georgia, and my husband read some reviews recommending this place, so we drove up here just for it. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. My husband ordered the catfish nuggets to share, and they came with fries, slaw, and tartar sauce. When the food arrived, we realized it wouldn't be enough for both of us, so I went back and ordered a classic burger with potato salad. The catfish nuggets were absolutely delicious! Hot, fresh, tender and not fishy at all. The fries and slaw were good too. My burger was great, and the potato bread they use makes a big difference! The potato salad was okay. It was a Saturday late afternoon and street parking was easy to find. We've been telling all our friends to go check this place out. And seriously, it's so cool that the restaurant sits right between two state lines: Georgia and Tennessee!
