Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping is STILL incredible! Extremely professional, responsive and just an all around really nice guy! We had a very large project that included our Front, Side, and sloping back yard. My wife and I, like a lot of couples I'm certain, have design paralysis with that "I don't know, what do you want?" going back and forth with each other endlessly. Octavio has a great eye, and countless times he broke our deadlock saying, "How about this? I think this would look really nice" and when we followed his suggestions we ended up being incredibly happy with the result! That's a huge benefit that you can't put value on, because it keeps a project moving forward with minimal stress. Whenever we had questions, he always replied to our texts instantly, and one of the things I really appreciated about his company is that we never had to line up any of our own specialty contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) to do work. He has every discipline covered and coordinates the scheduling of all of that. I've worked with contractors before where they would inform you they didn't do a type of work and we would have to contract that effort separately. Octavio is not like that and he'll coordinate it all according to how you'd like it to look, or be done. Big thumbs up on that! Payment schedules are very clearly explained and documented. Our project included payments in "phases of work" down payment, forms completed, rebar completed, Completed concrete, electrical and irrigation/plants completed, final approval completed etc. and there was flexibility in the schedule if we wished, which made it much easier at one point while we were travelling. He's very open to discussing whatever makes things go smoothly. We loved how he gave us a lot of help particularly with trees/plants (types, locations) Octavio is very knowledgeable in that area and we were very pleased when he met us at the nursery multiple times to show and help us select plants and trees. His work crews were always very friendly, hard working and meticulous, and he checked in on them constantly to make sure everything was going according to plan. It's very obvious that he wants to make sure there are no surprises, and that work is progressing according to schedule and plans. It was a great pleasure having Octavio and Pacific Premiere Landscaping transform our home! We would use him again without question and in fact have several other projects in the immediate future that we're in the process of discussing. A lot of people will search hard for the lowest price (I would estimate that Octavio's prices are not the "cheapest", but they are much more than fair, and I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between "lowest price" and "value"; that being the quality and experience of the work done for the money spent, and with that in mind, Pacific Premiere is a tremendous value! We ended up taking a 30 minute video chat with him, and Matt was super helpful in explaining various options. When we realized that his typical project scope was a bit bigger than what we wanted to spend, Matt was very gracious in connecting us with other contractors and designers. Despite the early hiccups, we got the sense that Matt is a genuine guy who is more interested in doing the right thing rather than making quick buck. We had Black Diamond design and install pavers for our front and back yards two years ago. A few…read moremonths back, we noticed loose pavers on the stairs leading up to the house and larger-than-normal gaps between the pavers in other locations. I called Black Diamond and Chavalah and Ayla in customer support scheduled repairs within a couple of weeks. Hector came out and not only fixed the pavers we had marked, but also proactively inspected the remaining pavers and fixed them as well. We're glad to have chosen Black Diamond for this project.

They were really passionate and patient in brainstorming design ideas, and provided a lot of professional advice which made the design look great! A big thank to Ian, for helping to manage gate and fence remodel. He even helped me to cut tree branches by himself, helping to unblock my fence work! Tino Acosta was the program manager who led the construction work. I am really satisfied with the job done! He took my feedbacks and always addressed them in a professional way. My yard is on a slope, with multiple tiers of retaining walls shared with my neighbor, which safety issue made me stay awake at night. Tino was very patient in listening to my concerns and explained to me the resolutions in a professional way. Achva's design instincts are spot on -- her guidance on the louvre placement and overall layout truly elevated the space. They also suggested furniture pieces and styling ideas, which helped me make great choices when I did my own shopping. Their recommended contractors were excellent, but the pricing was higher than I expected. To stay within budget, I decided to manage the entire project myself with separate contractors. The final design had replaced the custom fountain with a more budget-friendly option, but on request they were kind enough to share the original custom fountain design, which I built with my contractor at a much lower price. The whole project was very time consuming and hard work, but it saved a lot of cost, and the result was incredibly rewarding. Due to some misunderstandings, we decided to part ways amicable, so they couldn't continue with the front/side yard phase -- but they still provided the initial concepts that I can use in the future.
