I came here 3 years ago for my first Tesla and from that positive experience decided to bring my other Tesla. Unfortunately this business has dropped in service and is super untrustworthy! First, I got a price for my requested services on the phone twice, and when I went to the location the sales guy, Rami, said that's not the price and was charging me $200 more than the phone price! He seems to make up random reasons for the increase and doesn't honor the price his corporate sends out. I'm willing to pay more for extra labor, but won't accept being lied to! I wanted a single piece tint on my back glass but Rami kept telling me it's not possible and trying to convince me to get something I don't want. In the end it was a discrepancy of $100 but eventually he agreed to do a single piece of tint. Now that exciting part: when I go to pick up my car the back glass has TWO pieces of tint. Exactly what I didn't want. So now Rami wasted my time, his technician's time, and tint material. Then he tried to convince me that the line was a defrost line as if I'm clueless (I'm sure he fools many customers). When we take the car to the technician turns out it's two pieces of tint and the technician claims one piece is not possible and it will peel (a complete lie since my other Model 3 has one piece tint for years, no peeling). And now they are saying they can do it if I upgraded the tint package (wow a miracle). In the end they agreed to put one piece of tint on the back glass like I asked to but now I have to come in a 3rd time and it takes 2 hours for some reason to change the tint. The whole process was incredibly wasteful and a huge hassle, and Rami made the experience very negative. Got to my appointment at 9:30am today and the gentleman, I did not get his name, asked to see the car. It is a 2016 Honda Accord. I told him that I had a $99 certificate from x-mas and would like to use it. He said that the back windows would only be covered, because the 2 smaller windows are considered a full sized window and that's 5 windows. He also said that to do the passenger and driver window would cost $75 each. I'm already feeling a bait and switch. I told him let's just do the back windows. We go back to his office and he asked me to see the certificate. I showed it to him on my phone. There is a QR code on it. He asked me if I had a confirmation number and that they don't scan codes. I had a nightmare dealing with Jet black. First time, took 2 days to finish saying my car is newer model that they don't have it in their system so had to hand cut. Turmed out rear windshield tint unevenly cut and many bubbles on most of the windows after a month. Second time, so called "the manager" took a lot of photos and told me they will replace all windows under warranty. Took another 2 days. Fixed windshield and one window only left others untouched. I complained to front desk and she doesn't even know how to respond and looks stressed out unnecessary. After fixing second time, rear passenger window looks hazy under sunlight or under headlights at night indicating some sort of issue during reinstall. Showed it to the manager and he said he doesn't see the problem. Ima wait for another month and have them fixed again which I don't feel like wanting to do anymore talking to those clueless folks. When I arrived, there was confusion about the package, and I was told it only included 25% tint. To get what I actually wanted (5%), I was pressured into upgrading for an extra $450. I also got charged more than their posted price for my Tesla's frameless windows. What was supposed to be $399 ended up costing me $950. On top of that, they couldn't even finish the job the same day because they didn't know how to complete parts of the install on a Tesla. Avoid Jetblack Tint in Fremont at all costs. I spent over $800 to tint all my windows, including the windshield, using Solar Gard Zenith IR, plus a new windshield installation. Every single window had issues dust specs, hazy spots, bubbles, and poor adhesion. When I picked up the car the first time, the tint was already peeling. I had to return the car six times. During this nightmare, they scratched my side window (which was replaced after some back-and-forth), and later put a deep scratch in the brand-new windshield they installed. That scratch was never fixed they completely brushed me off. The sales manager initially offered a resolution and agreed to refund me, but in the end, the owner refused to make it right or replace the windshield their tech damaged. It honestly felt like they were letting inexperienced tinters practice on customer cars. My coworker used their Redwood City location and had to go back five times for similar issues. They might use decent film, but the craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer service are seriously lacking. I should have gone to a real shop. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. Update: I gave Jetblack every opportunity to make things right. I returned six times, stayed patient, and tried to work with them. In the end, they refused to repair the deep scratch they caused on the brand-new windshield they installed during the tinting process. Their response here might sound apologetic, but in reality, there was zero accountability for the damage or inconvenience they caused. After all the time, stress, and poor workmanship, I just want others to be aware of what they might be walking into. My experience here was horrible. I have been a loyal customer and had gotten my car tinted 3 times by them. This time I waited almost 12 hours to finish. I dropped my car off at 12:45 pm in the afternoon. It is currently 11:37 pm almost midnight on a Sunday and I have work in the morning. I was told my car would be done at 4pm. I came back at 4pm and was told it still was not done. Then told to come back at 7pm. I came back at 7pm and still was not done. Then I was told it will be finished an hour and half to 2 hours. I came back at 8:30 and have been sitting since. It is almost 12am and I am tired of waiting. If you don't want to wait 11+ hours for your tints, do not come here. I am very unsatisfied for with the finished product. This is not what I expected after paying $550 for tints with loose tint film. WARNING: SCAMMERS -- ITEM TAKEN FROM MY CAR AND MANAGEMENT REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY If you read nothing else: I had an item go missing from inside my car, and the manager lied repeatedly and refused to take any accountability. I had an extremely bad experience with Jet Black Tint and would strongly urge anyone considering their "$99 Facebook special" to think twice. From the moment I walked in, it felt like a classic bait-and-switch. The staff immediately tried to upsell me into $400-$500 packages, claiming the advertised deal was "low quality"--even though that same deal is what they heavily promote online. When I said it felt like a scam, the employee (who later identified himself as the manager, Rami/Rahaaly Tunis) even admitted it could feel that way, but assured me it wasn't. I should have trusted my instincts and walked out. Buyer beware: if you have an SUV, they do not count windows the way any reasonable person would expect. The small triangular rear windows are counted as separate windows, meaning the "5-window $99 deal" does NOT actually cover what most people consider the standard rear set. In my case, what should have been 5 windows was treated as 7, and I was charged an additional $110 for just two small pieces of glass. I was also told pricing varies depending on the year of the vehicle, while the main company line had quoted a different amount. The pricing felt inconsistent and misleading. The tint job itself was mediocre at best and dangerous at worst. The rear windshield has: * Multiple bubbles/dots trapped under the tint * Visible streaks of liquid * Severe glare issues, especially at night Driving at night is now genuinely unsafe due to glare from headlights behind me. When I later called the shop, the same manager answered and pretended for over 10 minutes that he wasn't the same person, even when I read back his own number and caller ID. He gave different names, claimed he wasn't there the day of service, hung up multiple times, and only admitted the truth after being pressed. He then said he would do nothing and hung up. I'm now left with: * A defective and unsafe rear tint job * A missing personal item * Zero accountability or follow-through I do have a "warranty" appointment scheduled, but I do not trust them to touch my car again. In 2021, I brought my vehicle in for tinting, but what I didn't realize until years later was that they had damaged my rear windshield during the process and replaced it with their own brand without my knowledge or consent. By the time I discovered the issue in August 2024, it was too late to take action. When I returned to Jet Black Tint in 2024 to address a fix-it ticket and have new tints applied, I was met with subpar service and questionable business practices. Despite having an appointment, they took all day to complete the work, and when I picked up my vehicle, I was shocked to find that the front windshield had not been done as requested. The owner, Abrahim's father, seemed dismissive and uncooperative, claiming that I had never requested the front windshield to be done, despite my clear instructions. When I pointed out the defects in the tint job, the staff attempted to fix them using unorthodox methods, including using a torch to try to remove bubbles, which ultimately resulted in cracking my windshield. The owner promised to replace the windshield with "the best glass" available, but when I insisted on having the OEM Toyota windshield installed and wanted to inspect it before installation, they repeatedly gave me excuses. Over the course of several days, they claimed the shop was closed, the part wasn't available, and their "guy" was working on getting the glass. Each time, I was sent home without any resolution. It wasn't until I became assertive and informed them that I had receipts for all my payments, including the $250 for the tint and $120 for the windshield, that they finally relented and installed the new windshield properly. However, even then, I noticed that they were trying to strong-arm me into accepting their actions without properly addressing my concerns. Throughout the process, I was met with a lack of transparency, unprofessionalism, and a clear disregard for customer satisfaction. The fact that they tried to charge me extra for services I didn't request and didn't provide receipts for payments made it clear that they were more interested in taking advantage of me than providing quality service. Given the subpar experience and questionable business practices, I would strongly advise against taking your vehicle to Jet Black Tint in Fremont. I scheduled a window tint appointment for my 2021 Mercedes CLS 450 on 2/11/26 at 3:30 PM and was sent home upon arrival because they were "too busy," then rescheduled for 2/12/26 at 2:15 PM. On 2/12, I was told the vehicle would be ready at 4:30 PM. When I arrived at 4:30, I was informed it would be another hour. The vehicle was finally brought out around 5:45 PM. The manager stated he wanted to show me the car with the lights dimmed "so I could get the full effect." He showed the driver's side first. When it was time to review the passenger side, he diverted my attention by asking about my son's vehicle outside. After briefly stepping away and returning, I left the shop. Within 10 minutes of leaving the premises, I stopped at a nearby gas station and immediately noticed damage to my passenger-side dashboard -- damage that was not present prior to service. Before turning the vehicle over, the manager and I conducted a walk-around inspection and confirmed there was no visible damage. I immediately notified the shop, left a voicemail, and sent photo documentation. My message shows it was received and read. Customer service initially responded apologetically. The following morning, the manager left a voice-generated message denying responsibility and suggesting the damage occurred elsewhere. Since then, I have contacted customer service four separate times and have been told my complaint was forwarded to management. There has been no follow-up, no review of the timeline, and no effort to inspect the vehicle or discuss resolution. At this point, I am documenting everything and will proceed accordingly if the matter is not addressed. I would have strongly preferred to resolve this directly and professionally. My brother 2007 Acura TL windshield got tinted by them today. They damaged the windshield and not taking any liable for it. On the phone the tech was yelling trying to make excuses that they had the film precut and never worked outside of the windshield. And he QC the work after it was done and no damages.... Of course..... We analyzed the work and they cleaned the outside of the windshield quite well seems like they did work on it and also scratched the windshield (brand new windshield installed few days ago by a different shop). As we trying to explained to him that if it was cnc precut then why the cuts was uneven? He got butt hurt and started yelling again and told us to call the corporate. I assume this is a huge corporation??? So I'm here to give them a review as they deserve, then pursue to attempt to work with their corporate. Been using Jet Black tint at Clipper court for the past 2 years, took 5 cars there total so far (among friend and family) and I can say they've done an outstanding job on all of them. Most recently we wanted our Model Y windshield redone for some waviness that never quite came out the first time, you can't see it in a photo so it's not a problem while driving but we want to see if there was anything they could do about it. I took it in and David Martinez went above and beyond to try and help us get it covered under warranty (which unfortunately it wasn't) but he was able to discount redo it for only $140 and with a free detailing! When I came back same day David was very honest and said they weren't able to completely get rid of the waviness in some areas but they redid it 4 TIMES in order to get it the best they could, and my car still looked some and shiny from the wash. All for no additional charge. Needless to say I was more than happy with the outcome. All in all, they're an honest company and really care about customer service. Where do I start? Let's go with positives. Front office experience is great, guy is very positive and charismatic, so first impressions are great. He even sold me on the windshield and visor. I bought a brand new car in April, and I needed my windows tinted all around. Brand new. Hard earned money, time, and effort, for my first new car ever after a decade of buckets. This is a brand new car, the windows are new, everything should be clear and crisp, unfortunately it's grainy, bubbly, and like I have a 2nd astigmatism. I booked another appointment under warranty, but as it stands, I'm not sure if I can trust them to touch my car again. What am I supposed to do now? Accept an apology without a refund?
