A rock hit my windshield, which I didn't see until the following day right before I left for the airport. Unfortunately that crack probably grew over the week I was gone, and it was large enough that I needed a windshield replacement. I started through GEICO, and was quoted $669 through Safelite. However, online research told me that safelite uses an aftermarket glass that isn't as good as OEM. Because of that I decided to search on yelp and I found KV Auto Glass. I reached out on a Sunday (when they are closed) asking about OEM glass and heard back Monday morning. Because I was using insurance, they requested me to go through GEICO to send the work order. The claim work is still processed by satelite but once it was approved, it was smooth sailing. I did get a bit nervous because it seemed like the crack kept growing, but whoever is in charge of KV auto glass yelp page responded and provided reassurance to me that my windshield wouldn't shatter even if the glass grew. Once the claim was approved, I made an appointment for Thursday and showed up at their location. Process took about 45 min to an hour and they even tucked in the wiring for my dashcam (which I sloppily did myself when I first put that in)! Really appreciate it! Overall very smooth process and really nice people! Would definitely recommend. I paid out my deductible and was on my way. read more

I had my car's side power window glass came down and won't go up. Took the car to dealership and was told need to order a new regulator. But it would take a week for the parts to arrive. Reached out to a few auto glass service companies found on Yelp and Kenny provided the most accurate assessment of the root cause. Ken replaced a windshield on my 1997 Toyota Corolla for a reasonable price. I showed him the ru bber seal on my rear windshield coming off at the corner because of shrinking. Ken was amazing, explained to me about the different glasses available. Cleaned my car of glass debris from the break in and removed any left over glass that was still attached. Placed the new windows in relatively quick. Overall great service, and would recommend for anyone looking to replace auto glass. read more

Ken is amazing to work with! He is incredibly knowledgeable and detailed. This was my first time needing a windshield replaced, and my insurance was difficult to work with. He was super patient answering all my questions. I was frustrated since my insurance couldn't provide me with a straight answer on the what/where/how this would be covered, but Ken handled everything perfectly which saved me from a lot of headache! The skinny: Ken is a good, informative guy Prices are competitive The lengthy: My Toyota Camry Hybrid (2017?) got a windshield ding near the bottom. I tried to fix it, but that made it worse. I called two places. One quoted $1200 for replacement and sensor recalibration. When I talked with the secretary at KV, the quote was $250 less, so I made the appointment. Day-of, I drove to KV's address. Ken met me and was very friendly, even offering me a seat in his small office space. I elected to stay outside, to enjoy the fresh air and periodically check on the work. He explained to me that cracked windshields do not always need to be replaced, windshield repairing is purely cosmetic (i.e., pretty much a scam), and encouraged me to look more into my car insurance. He was not pushy or off putting and did not try to sell me anything. His easygoing information transfer is what earned him 5 stars. I hope I do not have to be a repeat customer, but if I get a growing crack... I will be back. read more

The circumstances in which I was forced to have my passenger's side window replaced is unfortunate. Woke up the other day to find my Honda had been burglarized the night before. Therefore, here I am at KV auto glass, forced to spend money to replace my window. Funds I could have used toward something else. "Thank you, thieves!" The worst part is all they did was ransack my car since there was nothing there worth stealing. "Really... thank you ." What was fortunate about the whole situation is that Ken (whom I spoke with at KV) was able to get me an appt that same day and complete the work. All done perfectly well within just a few hours! Everyone I'd spoken to there was more than helpful and the mechanic even waited for me after-hours until I got off from work so that I could pick-up my car that same day. "Thank You." They'd vacuumed the chards of glass that was all over the dash, the middle console - basically, it was everywhere! But KV cleaned it! Great job! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I've been needing to fix my girlfriend's windshield for a while, she had a large crack going horizontal across the front. They were very quick with responses and They even called me the day before my appointment to see if they could do it earlier. That was fine by me, so they came to my house and replaced the windshield. There was two of them so it went super quick, I don't even think they were here for more than 45 minutes. Very professional, great communication, very friendly, and responsive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ken came over and did a mobile replacement job on a truck that I have. It usually just sits and I only drive it for big tasks but I've been needing it more lately. With all this rain we've been getting I started to notice water inside the cabin. After some diagnosing, I determined it was the windshield leaking. Ken came out to do the replacement and was extremely friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. I know people don't like customers peering over and talking to them but being that I am also a car guy, this is a general interest and I like to know what's happening. Kevin was not bothered in the slightest. He did his work and even paused to call me over and take a look at the crappy work that was previously done. He showed me where the seam/seal came undone (due to a poor installation from someone else over a decade ago) and rust had started forming under the glass. He ground away the rusted areas (thankfully it didn't eat through the metal) and applied a primer to stop/slow the rust. He vacuumed his mess and put everything back the way it was. read more

No frills. I asked for a quote form multiple vendors. Got several responses, but KV came through. Other vendors told me 3-5 weeks lead time for the glass. Kenny told me 2-3 days as long as I didn't mind used glass. No problem at all. Glass was in good shape. Made a quick appointment and he was done in 45 minutes. My BMW x3 passenger back seat window was broken and they steal stuff from my car. I call the dealer monday and they scheduled me for Friday. I then call the parts department to check and the part is not in stock and need to be ordered. Only service advisor can order it. I cannot get any of them answer their phone and no one returned my message that I left. So Tuesday morning I find 2 places that do side window work and kv auto is very close to my home. I call them and they put me on hold for 30 seconds to order the part. Then scheduled Wednesday noon to do the work. Took them more than an hour to clean all the broken glass and replace the window for 310 dollars. Even help me scheduled a detailing of my car for Thursday at 10 am. If you need auto window replacement this is the best place to call. read more

I highly recommend KV Auto Glass for their quality work and excellent customer care. I selected KV Auto Glass for the windshield replacement on my Honda Pilot based on their 5 star ratings, I couldn't be more satisfied. Ken is really knowledgeable and was very helpful, he inspected the car and also diagnosed the camera system, then worked with my insurance to get authorization for OEM parts :) and camera calibration. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! On what I thought would be a terrible holiday because of my broken glass. I was lucky that Ken from KV auto glass was open on XMAS EVE. He had the original manufacture glass window for my vehicle in stock. I drove to his shop and he was there working hard on finishing another customers vehicle. We spoke about the crime rate rise in the Bay Area and life. He's a really cool, down to earth guy. He had my window up and running within the hour! I can't believe the great customer service I received. Someone broke into my car while I was at work. I called Toyta and got a quote for double the price :-/ and it will take 2 days to be ordered and installed. My co worker recommended KV AUTO glass for me. I was amazed with the quick response, he offered to come and fix it at no additional cost. I was so surprised. He not only fixed my window, but also cleaned my car from all the broken window with all the shattered glass. Thank you so much. I had a fantastic experience with Ken and the team. I live around Fremont and would prefer to support local business, Ken came to my work to replace my windshield, later that evening when I drove my car, the head up display was distorted and really awful, I had to turn off HUD otherwise i get dizzy driving. Reached out to the team and dropped off my car at their shop for them to take a look, factory defect and they offered replacement no question asked. 2 days later got a new windshield and the HUD is perfect. They even offered reimbursement for the short Uber ride to and from work, I almost forgot but Ken reached out and followed up with the reimbursement. They really took care of me and I appreciate that very much. On top of that they are GEICO preferred and I only paid $50 deductible. read more

I had a small star crack on my front windshield earlier this January and it started cracking even more into one long crack along the right-hand side recently. I called Ken and he & his team came over to my house to repair my front windshield the next day. It took them less than 20 mins to repair the windshield and they were in and out real quick! Their price was super reasonable (Apple-Pay friendly) and it was a pleasure working with them. Ken is extremely on time for a 2pm appointment & came in at 1:12 PM. He's a soft spoken likeable guy. You have to be mentally unstable to not lime this guy at all. I had a crack on the windshield that I was hoping not to have to fix... by avoiding the issue... denial denial denial. LOL. Well , one day I was driving to work and it just starting cracking before my eyes, clear across the whole windshield! In a hurry, I went to yelp and searched for windshield replacement places. Yelp has this nifty thing where you can get a bunch of quotes. So I went through a requested quotes from a bunch of places. This one was one of the lowest, so I scheduled it for next day and had them meet me at my work. When they got there, I met them in the parking lot. I just opened the door and they let me leave and would let me know when my windshield was done! An hour and 15 minutes later, I got a text and came out to a brand new windshield! Fast and efficient, and I got to still work while they worked. Great service, and everything looks great. Thank you guys! read more

Since I was in a rush, I chose them over Safelite, thinking it would be a quicker option. I waited while they worked on my car, and an older man "who seemed to be the owner" handled the job. Once he was done, I immediately noticed several issues: the door panels were damaged, the paint was scratched, and the door panes weren't installed properly. When I pointed out the damage, he was dismissive, and after a frustrating argument, he finally admitted they were responsible. He promised to get a paint patching kit and call me, but that never happened. To make matters worse, he charged me for cleaning up the broken glass, yet I can still hear pieces rolling around inside my doors whenever I drive or open and close them.

I called for a quote and Sarah followed up with a text after I forgot about the whole deal. I started off with doing a PPF on the entire front of my car including the A panels. I returned about a month and a half later on for the rest of my car and that took longer. I came back two weeks later to ceramic coat the whole car and tint the windows. If you can try to get the job done all at once, it's possible but I just didn't think it through hence the multiple projects. They were very patient with me after nagging them about the status of the work the second time around. They were well within the deadline they promised me but I wanted it sooner (didn't happen, after all = great work takes time). While they had my vehicle I asked if they could fix some tiny minor dents (possible, but not at 100%) and they also do car detail. Their prices are reasonable considering the caliber of cars they regularly service. If you value quality and your car, go to these guys.

If you own a Tesla or any high-end car and care about quality, this is absolutely the place to go. Joe, the owner, is always welcoming and clearly pours his passion into the business. You can tell immediately how much he values his team. He treats his staff like family, and it shows in their work. Everyone there genuinely enjoys what they do, and they really do live up to the "OCD" name when it comes to attention to detail. I learned the hard way that not all highly rated Yelp shops deliver real quality. After going to another popular place, a friend pointed out several issues in the work that I had completely missed. Never again! I would much rather pay for top-tier service and have peace of mind than worry about fixing problems later. Most recently, I had a front PPF and tint done on my Tesla, and the results were flawless. OCD Detailing is one of the few places capable of tinting the entire Tesla roof using a single piece, with no seams, and it looks incredible. They were also kind enough to help install hub caps I purchased separately and recommended a great source for blacked-out emblems. My car turned out beautiful. The only downside is that I live in San Francisco, so the drive is a bit out of the way, but it was absolutely worth it. I recommend OCD Detailing to all my friends whenever they're looking for high-quality PPF or tinting. If you care about your car, this is where you take it.
