I want to start out by saying this was the highlight of my birthday weekend in Miami! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do a water activity in Miami but is afraid to jet ski which was our case. My friends and I all purchased our tickets through Groupon for the jet boat and made our reservation within the same day without a problem. Our Uber driver had a slight issue with dropping us off, since he did not understand what we meant when we asked to be dropped off behind the Marriott hotel which made me think that we would miss the boat ride but surprisingly we arrived just in time. Check in was easy and it wasn't long before we'd arrived that it was actually time to get on the boat. Just a fair warning you do get very wet and the boat ride is pretty fast but your instructor will give you a cue when to hold on tight and when it is safe to have your phones out to take pictures and or record. I want to thank the staff at Jet Boat Miami for making our first experience riding a boat exciting and extremely fun.The guys at the dock were so friendly and sweet to us and I also enjoyed our water leader singing happy birthday to me and dancing for us! Such a dope experience. And I'll do it again, only with Jet Boat Miami. Jet skiing in Miami was on my bucket list and decided to do it for my birthday. I researched a ton of jet ski companies here in Miami and am happy I went with Jet Boat Miami. Had the best time! Upon arrival, you check in and fill out paperwork. The staff was extremely friendly. I parked at the church nearby for $10 (open till 10pm). Then the Jet Boat Miami office a very short walk from the parking lot. Once checked in, and given an arm band, a boat takes you from the marina into the bay to the jet skis. Then once you get on your jet ski, your guides lead you to open water and show you your ride area which is a large area. Shout out to Laz for making the whole experience a fun one! read more

I found out about this from a Groupon and I went on a Friday after. Oh My Gosh. My daughter and I had so much fun! We did the Jet Boat first. Our guide was great. Loved his enthusiasm and sarcasm. Kept everyone very upbeat. This jet boat is like a big jet ski! We went fast, some turns and you will get went (with salt water). I did witness 2 smaller children who didn't enjoy getting splashed... so parent sit the kids in the middle. They took us past star island and gave us some history on some of the homes but the fascinating parts. We then did the banana boat ride where we were pulle by a jet ski. This was so much fun... you will fall off multiple times but the views of the Miami sky line are breath taking. Definitely something you can do in 2 hours, have lunch and walk the area. So much fun! A must do if the weather permits and you are up for half an hour filled with anticipation, fun and getting soaked. Like you will literally get soaked, so come prepare and if you do not like getting wet I would not recommend this activity for you. I have done a few of the celebrity houses tour but this one has topped it because of the fun we had. Basically they can skip the house tour because the ride and the spinning was enough to make my morning. They have a locker that you can put all your stuff in and they lock it while you guys are on the move. They offer a zip lock bag for your phone in case you want to bring it with you. The tour guide and driver were super fun and their energy was contagious. I would recommend that you do arrive 30 minutes earlier because you have to check in and you are boarded into the jet boat in the order you checked in and if you arrive late they will not be waiting. This was my first time using this company. The place isn't too hard to find and just Uber there, it's easier. My brother and I ended up doing their new 1 hour yacht tour (We ended up on their 48ft yacht). If you're looking to take a ride on a yacht and not fork out a bunch of $$$$. Then this is the thing for you, whether you're solo or got a few friends with you. When we arrived, 30 mins early as they asked. They couldn't find my brothers name in the system for some reason, not a huge deal, he had his comformation info. So, just make sure to keep your confirmation email and info just in case. When it was time to head to the yacht, there was only 4 passengers, which was awesome! The yacht was clean and comfortable. They had two bluetooth devices you can connect to to play your music on. A portable speaker and the stock system on the yacht. There was the captain and one crew member. Sorry but I can't remember the crew members name, but he was on point. As soon as we pushed off, he started serving the alcohol, kept my glass full the whole time and I getting them down with the quickness too! Don't really know where we went, but I don't really care lol. We when by some really nice houses and just cruised. The tour for us was around the 1hr 15min mark which was great. Went on the jet boat for my sisters birthday it was fun. Be prepared to get wet, they have a chest were you can put your belongings that they lock up. If you have a waterproof phone great if not put your phone in a ziplock cause it will get wet. There's a parking lot at the end of the block we walked threw the hotel to get the jet behind the hotel. Bought a groupon for jet boat and banana boat ride. Very organized company. However, you may need to call a few times to get through to make reservation. They email you confirmations and reminders. The day of they even called me. Make sure you show up at least 15 minutes ahead of time to have enough time to park and walk to dock. We parked on the street to the north of doubletree. Hourly parking. We left promptly at our time. You leave belongings in a lockbox at dock. You can tKe cell phone in ziplock, but there are only a few minutes to take pics. You will get soaked! You see a few stars homes and then do the spin outs to get wet. We did Banana boat also. They pull you on a Jet ski. Water gets in your face And eyes most of the ride so you can't see much. You can't wear sunglasses or bring anything with you. I would recommend wearing swim goggles. People fell off, but I held on tight and stayed on board. We booked a 30 minute jet ski ride for $75.00. That would be ONE, half hour ride. Can you say half ass operation? Because that is exactly what you'll get here. They were insanely disorganized. The staff seem to be clueless as to what's going on. It is located behind the hotel so you have to walk through the hotel out to the marina to get to where this place is. Oh but there's more, to get to it , you have to go through security go to the marina who has no idea why you're here or what you want. He must've just been hard yesterday. Once we finally got through him having to explain to him that there was a place to rent Jetske's were we had a reservation past this gate, he made several phone calls and allowed us through. Once we got to the area to actually rent the Jetske's, they were wanting us to fill out all kinds of forms which was normal but they kept changing the forms and changing people who is giving us instructions to fill out which form. Mind you this was a $75 experience for 30 minutes on a Jetske. Once the paperwork is completed which by the way we arrive 30 minutes early, we were directed back out onto the pier to go wait at a pontoon boat. Wait at what pontoon boat? We get to the pontoon boat and then were told no go back over and wait over there. Where is there so I ask? And it was yet another pontoon boat. Our trip started at 4:30 and it is now 445. I'm getting all irritated because I have no idea where the JetSki is. We arrive at the new tune pond boat and are told nope not here. They direct us over to some high-speed jet boat sure thing they have. We arrive there and were told to get on board they're going to drive us out to the pontoon boat with the Jetske's are. It is now 5 o'clock. From there we drive over to another pontoon boat that's in the water floating with JetSki is tied to it. Talk about some weird shit I've got going on here. So we struggle to get off the rocking jet boat onto the rocking pontoon. Once the five of us are on it we sit and wait as they wanted to time struggle to untie one JetSki at a time. I ask what about our time we only have 30 minutes. We were told at the time doesn't start until we're all on a Jetske. Mind you I booked a 4:30 PM trip. It was only supposed to last 30 minutes. It is now 515 and we haven't left yet. To make the experience even better once we took off we all got separated. So the tour guy had to find everyone and bring them all back together. We were missing one woman. We were all surprised she actually went out on a Jetske because she had long hair waves they went down below her waist line. And they were quite a few of them. A lot of horse hair was involved in the making of these hair waves. But she probably knows better than us and that was probably OK to wear 6 foot long hair weaves on a jet ski. They finally found her and brought her back. She was livid. She interpreted the reservation has been one and a half hours on the Jetske. Not one, half hour. She was very confused and she thought she was to get one and a half hours for the $75. Bless her heart. Well of course she had to show her ass. She threaten the tour guide that she would have her boyfriend shoot him, yes she actually said that, if she did get her one and a half hours on the Jetske. The rest of us were trying to explain to her that you only have one, half hour. That's all that we all paid for. But she wasn't having it. She was also pissed off that her hair weaves were soaked in salt water. Who knew? Then things get real fun. The tour guide call the police. He felt threatened by the woman with the soaking wet hair waves and called the police. They finally showed up about 630. Mind you were all still sitting in waiting on the pontoon boat to go back to the land to get back in our cars, and to get as far away from these people in this place as we possibly could. My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience at Jet Boat Miami. We did the early morning 30 minute jet ski rental and I would say it was well worth the money. We arrived a little late and the customer service reps happily accommodated and informed us the our guides were out doing "final tests" on the jet skis so it'd be a few more minutes anyway. We hopped on a boat that took us out to meet the jet skis in the middle of the water, went through some safety tips and operational dos and do nots then we were off! Our guide (I wish I remembered his name but he was a big Spanish dude with tattoos from New York) was super fun and informative and he also took some really great photos and videos and airdropped them to us afterwards. Found out about JetBoat from GroupOn. I purchased a 20 minute banana boat ride on a Sunday night to go Monday afternoon. We noticed the groupon said we had to book at least 48 hours in advance so we figured we may not be able to go . I called Monday morning around 9:30am and there was availability . We made a 12:30pm reservation. There were other times slots like 2pm and 4pm as well. The clerk took our voucher number over the phone and made the reservation. We arrived to the marina at 12 and parked at one of the suggested parking locations (Sun Electronics). It was $6 for the whole day Monday through Thursday. We went to the office which was quite small. There were 3 clerks working the counter but the office was a bit chaotic. There was no clear lines and people coming in and out . We waited about 15 minutes before it was seemingly our turn. We got our ticket and went to Pier 1 where you're given a life jacket and board the banana boat. In this case , it was a whale boat. The ride was bumpy and intense! It's easy to fall off into the open waters. Your boat mates help you back on. Our guide was entertaining and overall it was really fun! The boat fits 10 people so it's good for groups of friends . I would definitely return but I didn't give 5 stars because of the chaotic office experience . read more

I would probably give this place a higher review if it weren't for the beginning of our experience. I booked 2 tickets for 3:45 on Saturday. My coworker and I followed the directions in the email and arrived 30 minutes early to the dock. We are staying at the Doubletree so its literally right there. We waited the 30 minutes and apparently they were having computer issues. Well, after the hoards of other people came in with their reservations, they weren't able to pull mine so we had to walk back to their office inside the doubletree. At this point, I was completely over this and wanted a refund. All the other passengers on the boat were completely rude about the check in process saying they were there first when we were the second group there, and the staff had no idea how to handle it. The rude lady at the desk said "NO REFUNDS" in the most condescending way, and processed whatever she needed to do (although I had already paid) and we went back out. Although we were the SECOND group there, my coworker and I were the LAST group of that ride and ended up having to sit apart from each other. Completely unaccommodating and rude, but I feel most businesses in this area are like this. Anyways, once the jet boat tour started it was pretty fun. They play some music, show you some famous people's houses and do some crazy turns. You get soaking WET. There are only a few minutes to use your phone, but thats ok the experience is what you pay for. They record the entire ride and you are able to purchase the photo or video online. We had a good time overall, there were some technical difficulties with the first boat and they transferred us to a second boat which was fine they took care of the issue and ensured the safety of the passengers. Once the ride was underway we saw some great sights in Biscayne Bay around Hibiscus Island, Palm Island, and Star Island. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and told us some fun information about each of the places that they showed us. The driver was great, he gave us the thrills and got us soaked as we expected! There employee tony said he was booking a yacht for us on sat 4/17 which was schedule several weeks in advance. Two weeks prior to my trip I call jet boat Miami to confirm my reservation only to find out that my reservation wasn't booked at jet boat Miami be he basically booked me as a private charter which he explained his father would be the captain of. They both work for jet boat Miami. When calling jet boat Miami they even gave tony the phone several times for me to speak to him. I have messages between this man confirming he works for them and everything was fine with our reservation. When I arrived in Miami on 4-16 I went down to dock at Jet boat Miami and actually saw tony outside docking one of the boats. He walked us around the yard and even showed us the boats and confirmed again reservation was fine. The next day he basically gave me lies for almost 3 hours saying he was running late but still coming and then never arrived and stop answering my calls. Never refunded my $1,000 deposit after confirming several times he would. I called his job and spoke with a manger Eileen and she said he was off the weekend and that she would talk to him and take care of issue for me. I called again Monday morning and she tells me he quit on Friday which makes no sense. This company is definitely running a scam on travelers. Hopefully I can get my money back through my claim but I've never had this happen and the manager is no help at all so be careful. read more
