Original review: I had a really concerning experience at Jet Brite and gave them plenty of time to make it right, but they didn't. On January 30th, I went through their car wash when the system malfunctioned and caused my car and three others to repeatedly collide. No employees stopped it until we were honking, and I had to go inside during a snowstorm to find someone. Staff seemed completely unaware of what had just happened. We filled out incident reports and were told someone would follow up. After multiple conversations with customer care and their operations director, they denied responsibility and blamed the first car in line for "getting off neutral too early." Regardless, their system should be designed to stop in a situation like that--not allow multiple vehicles to crash into each other. A manager even contacted me to request a repair estimate, which I sent, but then never responded. Follow-ups were ignored. Overall, very disappointing experience--not just the malfunction, but how it was handled afterward. I would not trust them with my vehicle. I don't deviate much from the car wash I go to since I have had horror stories from the past. However, a bird must have eaten the wrong stuff & my side window was splattered so badly, I could not wind down my window. I did the drive through with an undercarriage wash. Tipped the guy to do the driver's side mat as well. It's ok. My car didn't dry completely. I liked their free vacuums, easy & fun to use. It's good value for around $13 in total. I canceled my membership because there no advantage to being a member! The far left and middle lanes clearly say for MEMBERS ONLY! Members should be provided the advantage of being in and out. Yet every time I'd go, some NON MEMBER was in the members line and the employees don't care about holding up the MEMBERS ONLY line to get a sale! Issue with corporate, not the location.. I noticed a charge come though my bank account today and realized I had just been changed less than 2 weeks ago. So I decided to check my bank account a little further. Come to find out Jet Brite has been double charging me $40 since April of 2024, 14 months of double payments. They tried to tell me I have 2 accounts, one for a license plate I just got in February of this year, same vehicle. I followed their instructions to update the plate info and if their system glitched, thats not my fault. Even though the website and app only show 1 vehicle. Now they have stopped responding even though I have shown them proof of the charges, my vehicle registration stating when the plate change happened, etc. I have all the proof that they are guilty of this. Check your accounts to see if this is happening to you. Their plans clearly state monthly yet I am being charged twice a month for 14 months. Their car washes also scratch the heck of black cars. WARNING: DO NOT FREQUENT JETBRITE ON GARY & ARMY TRAIL. they are a bunch of scammers and sneaks. My husband went for a car wash on 5/2/2024. Going through their tunnel, the machine CRACKED my husbands windshield on a basically brand new 2023 Toyota Highlander. My husband notified the car wash employees immediately. They completed an "incident report" (and refused to give my husband a copy). My husband asked how they were going to remedy the situation. He was told "They were going to follow up with corporate and let him know the resolution." We had to call these people incessantly for 2 straight weeks to get answers. The manager "Jeff" is useless and would always say "I'm waiting to hear back from corporate." And the GM Ramzi never had answers either. Today (5/15/2024), we go back over there to get our answers (because Jeff wasn't answering his phone or responding to our voicemail) and Jeffs not there. SHOCKING. Ramzi is there and says "Uh, I don't know. Let me call Jeff." Jeff tells us to file a claim with our insurance, despite him telling me directly that he was going to handle this situation. read more

Be cautious of this car wash. My windshield was cracked and the wash ripped off my wiper (which the wipers were obviously turned off). They refused to accept ANY responsibility even though their machine caused all of the damage. Tried reaching out to their parent company and no response, no help, no manager returned my calls. I got my car washed today & was surprised that there were water ? Spots or something after the wash and drying. I was vacuuming my car, which is free and very appreciated, when I noticed an employee. I used to get the $3.00 washes, then $5.00, but today I picked the $10.00, so that was why I thought it would be better. The employee or owner ( I should have asked his name) was very respectful & kind. Although spots can occur, he offered to give me a free wash. I accepted gratefully. He actually upgraded the wash. This is probably my favorite car wash in the area. The location is prime, the staff are nice and helpful, the prices are decent, but best of all they have the floor mat cleaner machines! I will say their vacuums aren't as good as some other places, but they still get the job done for the most part. Occasionally the vacuums are clogged because someone thought it would be a genius idea to suck up their kids legos instead of pick them up themselves, but that's not on the staff. read more

My ultimate favorite place to get my car washed! I work at a construction office & my car get dirty & dusty quickly. I get my car washed often & at various places. I've never been disappointed by JBCW Gary Ave. Car comes out clean with very little soap residue & mostly dry (most places leave the car soapy & wet). When I get the premium $12 hot wax, I am often asked if my 3 yr old car is new plus my car smells great! Vacuums work great & love the cleaning nozzles used as others install 'crevice' nozzles (only), no other choice. Crevice nozzles are good but take a long time to clean flat surfaces. Great car wash! We're in town visiting and couldn't resist a $3 wash. We started off at the bug pre-wash station, which was a nice feature. The $3 is the base option - you can pay more for more wash features. We stuck with the $3 wash, and we thought it did a good job. The vacuums were great, nice and powerful, with plenty of space to take out mats, etc. All around, $3 very well spent. read more

A big fuck you to this car wash, I went on Friday the 3rd around 5pm & I received/paid for a $10 wash.. the brushes in this wash are entirely TOO powerful... I go to speedy bob's in Streamwood/Hanover park & I never had a problem. I went to this wash & my mirror cracked off from the inside because the brushes were too powerful. I made a incident report & 2 of the employees who were working were trying to fix my mirror but couldn't help because it would break off it they kept bothering it! I had to have my father in law, SCREW some screws into my mirror so it doesn't fall off. The manager "Jon" called me on Sunday while at work around 1/2pm & let me know they weren't going to do anything about my mirror cracking off, which you can see in the pics I attached that the mirror cracked off from inside, he was rude he didn't seem to care! Just insisted that he'd email me pics of my mirror. Saying that my mirror was messed up prior to coming in, when it was NOT cracked off at all! I will NEVER go to this wash EVER again... they didn't offer a free wash, my $10 back or anything. That's not the point either, it's the principle of the manager being caring. He was not compassionate at all. I hope they lose all business. Get some new damn brushes, they're way too aggressive for anyones car!!!! I will be harassing you guys until you fix my fucking mirror too!!! A coworker of mine went to this exact car wash & she had the same problem & they would not help her. Ridiculous & disgusting!
