This place used to be okay. Then Prices went up and quality went down. The wash doesn't rinse well enough so my cars always ended up with little spots on them. Clearcoat damage is to be expected with a touch carwash but I was surprised at just how quickly It happened using this wash. If you use it once a week be prepared to have to polish your car twice a year. Despite all that here's why I cancelled: the new owners made their website far less user friendly. You can't manage your membership anymore. I was going to reduce the package on my wife's car and the only way to do it is by sending them a message. This is unacceptable, so I sent a message to cancel both my memberships. They didn't bother to respond until two weeks later, after the next billing cycle. Luckily I sniffed out their scam and drove over there and canceled in person the day I sent my request. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years now. Decided to get the membership last year as it was definitely worth the value, price did go up at the end of 2021 significantly. So I had to reduce the package to not include the wheel shine which is still reasonable at $15 per month. You'll spend that in two car washes. Car Wash is decent, not the best, and doesn't always get everything off. Most of the time the burners with the heat at the end of the exit, one is usually out if not both, but today they were both on as you can see in the picture! The spinning towel dryer at the end is horrendous, the one on the left will kind of come over and get your mirror and door but the one on the right side I've never seen it reach. Occasionally someone will put on their break or get jammed up in the car wash and you might have to wait 30 seconds to a minute for them to activate it again but that doesn't happen too often. I know a lot of people complain about getting scratches from this car wash, I've never seen it and I'm very meticulous and look over my car. So take those reviewers with a grain of salt. They do offer a pre-brushing area before the entrance for two different vehicles at one time to really get your wheel wells clean or if you need to get some the summer bugs loosened up on the front of your car. Some people complain about the vacuums, every once in a while I'll get one that doesn't work so great but there's one on each side of the car and I've never had both sides not work well. My suggestion is if one isn't working well there's usually plenty of spots open, so don't be lazy and just move your car to another spot. I find the vacuums are very strong and more than adequate. The Garbage cans can be hit or miss whether they have been taken out or not. Overall it's a good place, the kids that work here are always willing to help you if you have any questions, one always runs out to the screen area when you're first entering just in case you might be new or have any questions. read more

I've been a member of the monthly pass until today. I got my car washed yesterday and when I got to the drying blowers the car in front of me stalled, blocking the exit. After beeping my horn to get Wash U to stop the conveyor belt (someone is supposed to be watching the remote cameras for safety) and the poor woman inside the stalled car tried to get out to push her car, the car behind me rear-ended me. Then the car behind him, and so on. 5 cars total had an accident because Wash U on North Ave in Carol Steam was understaffed and no one was watching the safety monitors. The police came to write a report of the damage (well over the $ threshold) and I come to find out there isn't a manager on the premises, just a couple of teenagers, one of which told the lady behind me to "get in her car and shut up!" Today I spoke to the manager and he and the owner Xavier Hernandez refused to give their insurance information and refused to make right the damage their lack of attending the conveyor belt caused 5 customers. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE! This carwash and the owner deserve a negative rating because 1 is way higher than I'd like to give. read more

My car did come out super clean with the $15 wash but this wash is way too expensive. There is no second wash on the receipt if it rains or snows. The vacuums were clogged I had to move twice to get one with good suction. I also do not like the nozzle on the vacuums, takes forever to get clean. The $17 monthly package isn't even for the best car wash they offer. The best car wash with a monthly package is almost $40 a month!Way too rich for my pockets every month. I'll Ended up canceling my membership. I went to get a wash and I had to move 5 times to finally get a vacuum that wasn't clogged. My car would also leave the wash with waxy residue. I made Craig one of the business aware of this issue and he seemed to want to take care of the problem. I had Craig's number so I called him when frustrated that most of the vacuums were clogged. He said he would take care of it but said some clogs take a day to fix. I pay $25 a month I should not have to try and find an unclogged vacuum. The boys should be on top of that in the office area. After I made the call the boys at the location did start working on them. If I'm paying $300 a year for a wash membership I do expect readily available vacuums read more

I was first introduced to Wash U in Plainfield. I love the conveyor belt instead of driving into a track. My car always comes out squeaky clean! I love them so much, I bought a monthly pass. I was recently driving down North Ave. and noticed this location. Made a u-turn at the light and in I went. I actually like this location better than Plainfield now - the drive to get into the carwash is long and straight, unlike Plainfield where the driveway curves right before you drive in. And my car seemed to be cleaner after running it through this location (never thought that would be possible). The free vacuums are great (at both locations) - they are not your typical car wash vacuums. They will almost suck the carpet up off the floor. Wash U has a great concept and a variety of reasonably priced choices in its offerings of monthly wash packages. read more

I've been going Here ( 34.00 dollars per month) since they opened because they were convenient being at the end of my block in Des Plaines IL .. The gentleman that works there is great , but the Carwash itself has done nothing but gone down hill since it's opening. The washes are good , but the drying is the worst It's ever been ! The car comes out of the wash wet and soapy.. It's definitely not worth the Money. I will be cancelling my monthly pass this month..Sorry guys , you should keep up with the adjustment needed to dry the vehicles. read more

I signed up for one of the monthly plans (middle range)last year. Things were okay in the begginng - This year I have complained about the drying spinner at the end of the wash ( Not coming outa swell as not touching the SUV) At first I was told there's a part on order to fix it. Here it has been over 2 months and the problem hasn't been fix yet !! Here's the kicker I check my bank account to find I have been charged $25 instead of the $20 plan that I signed up for !! My first time here on Thursday, 12/10/2020 and the car wash ripped the grill off the front of my car. Besides damaging my car, the drying process sucked. The car wash is alright, it has a decent amount of vacuums that where good and strong when I used them. The car wash itself has a conveyor and it's great if you don't want to risk scratching your wheels. I am giving two stars because I got the 15$ wash and my car came out with a lot of soap and the under carriage wash wasn't so thorough. Overall I guess it's okay but I wouldn't go there again for a 15$ wash, it's just not worth it to me. read more

Literally 50% of the time I come here, I pull into the vacuum area & at least one of them isn't working. Today, I moved over to a different set & again, one wasn't working!! How hard would it be to have their employees keep an eye on the vacuums & unclog them when needed? If there's actually something wrong with one, mark it so people know to move on to the next ones. I almost never put out negative reviews but this is getting ridiculous!! When this location first opened I received a "free wash" coupon and went through. I was hopeful because this location is closer to my house than the wash I currently use and I typically wash my car once a week. However, I was disappointed with the amount of dirt left on the car, namely the back end/trunk area. I decided it was worth the drive to my usual wash and I would not be returning. Fast forward about a year. I was in a crunch for time and my wife's super dirty, black car, needed a wash. I ran it through this location fully expecting the same results as my first experience. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised at how clean her car turned out. Even the rear of the car was clean. I pulled the car into the garage and looked it over with a flashlight and was really impressed with how clean it looked. As a result of my latest experience, I decided to give a monthly pass a try for my car. I paid $10 per wash at the other wash I would go to once a week. The other wash doesn't offer a monthly pass option. The Wash U monthly pass I selected is $20 for unlimited washes, a great value for anyone who goes to the wash more than twice a month. I also like the express lane for monthly pass users only. I'm optimistic about my decision and hopeful the wash continues to do a nice job. read more
