Stopped in on a Sunday late afternoon following after being at the Events Center. It wasn't busy so we got right in and chose to grab a table at the bar. Was disappointed they don't have the happy hour specials they have at the other locations, but the food was good and the beer was cold. We had a platter of ribs with wings and a couple sides. But started off with onion rings and a bucket of bacon. At the recommendation of our server, we made sure to check out the great view from the upper level.

The best foods of Jethro's locations are located here. Do you want the staples? Do you want the highlights from the other locations? This is what they got here. Same fun automosphere. Music was bouncing. The servers were running and were excited to try it. There are 2 floors. East entrance is lowest floor and bar. Then, walk up to the west entrance and up to the top floor for the million dollar view of the capital. I recommend the floor. Got to try right when it opened the new location. We all tried dishes from locations we had not made it to yet. The smokehouse jambalaya was on my radar. I ordered that up as our waitress recommended it. I want to be sure what to expect. The tomato based dish was very good. The Jesse Bobs creole pasta was also a choice for our table. Another recommended dish from the waitress. This really hit a high note with me. I really dig the creamy dish. The group of all really liked this one and would order again. So good!!! The last person ordered The Ragin Cagin sandwich. Also, a big hit at the table. It is very juicy and flavorful. It had untreated pork tenderloin topped with pulled pork and adula sausage. Then, I had your choice of side. He got the staple of their mac and cheese. We are excited about the new location and feel it's a great spot for all the big events.

I'm surprised this doesn't have more stars. We are there twice and it was great! Burnt ends, jalapeño corn, corn bread -the burger was good, all of it! Give it a go!

Still surprised I like this place. Historically, I have not enjoyed any of the Jethros but this experience was great. Had onion rings, pulled pork, bacon and cole slaw. Food was good, nothing was too sweet and loved the onion rings. And they have good ranch.

This cost $30, rrrrrriiippp

We both had their famous 1/3 pound burger and sweet potato fries. Excellent choice. Came to the table perfect. Place was packed with Badger fans so we felt at home. The street-level negative when we got there and again when we were leaving was the significant construction on Ingersoll...leaving entry a little tricky and exit a bit dangerous due to low visibility caused by equipment. Once we got inside, Margot was quick to come to our table, took good care of us throughout the evening and made some great suggestions for our meals. I had read about the Crab Rangoon Nachos and since Margot also recommended them, we started with an order (see picture) along with a Backpocket Lemon Shandy (see picture). WOW - these were every bit as good as the positive reviews and while the other food was also good, the nachos were the highlight of our meal! For our meals, my wife ordered the 10 Wing Double Snack split between Honey Garlic & 10 Spice (dry) - both on Margot's recommendation (see picture). I opted for the Sourdough Smash on Margot's recommendation (see picture) with krinkle fries. As we usually do, we shared tastes of each others dishes and really enjoyed everything. While I'm not a huge garlic fan, I did really like the Honey Garlic wings and found myself dipping the smash burger in the extra sauce. Numerous Cityview awards were on display on their trophy shelf (see picture). I believe one of these awards is what caused me to add The Station on Ingersoll to my Want to Go list but regardless of the source, I was not disappointed. I had the Crescent City Chicken, and it was enough food for two. The kitchen was clearly putting in the effort. But the standout was our server, Allianna. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcome. She checked in at the right times without hovering and had a way of making everyone at the table feel taken care of. I highly recommend Buzzard Billy's for its great food and excellent staff.

I'd missed my connection and got bumped by a last minute female runner even though I was first on the standby list. I stepped off the hotel shuttle, checked into my room, dropped off my baggage and walked here for dinner. Needless to say, I walked in the door quite hungry. I sat at the bar for the quickest service. I ordered a local lager, Des Moines Exile's Maria lager ($6.75/5% ABV). To eat, I seldom go wrong with fried catfish. This time I got the fried catfish strips, with tartar sauce, 2 large hush puppies, and a bunch of fries ($16.99). The smooth lager hit the spot and the fried dinner really filled me up. Catfish average, hush puppies had great texture and taste, and fries were hot. The bartender/waitress really wasn't too attentive. Spent most of the time talking to other customers and staff. I ordered another lager from Exile. This one was an award winning Ruthie Gold lager ($7/4.9% ABV). I preferred this lager to the first one. It had a more rounded taste and mouthfeel. The huge meal didn't wow me, but it did feel me up. Thumbs up to the two local lagers I tried. They were good. Come here if you need a large meal and mediocre service.
