There are always at least a handful of people waiting just before open to patronize this business and for good reason! The owner's wife is working behind the counter both taking orders and making the food. We came for breakfast on a beautiful Monday morning and ordered breakfast sandwiches and the mini cinnamon sugar donuts. The food took about 10 minutes to come out and when it did it was hot and freshly made. I had the sunrise breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg, and cheese) on an everything bagel. The bagel was perfectly toasted and you could tell there was butter involved. The sandwich is greasy, but cheesy and delicious. We all split the cinnamon sugar donuts and all agreed they were a little overdone, unfortunately. They were half crunchy, half soft and pillowy. The cinnamon sugar flavor was great, though. If they were pulled out of the fryer a minute sooner, we would've been in business. Today was EXTRA SPECIAL; I saw my first dolphins! Thanks to the lady in this food stand! She yelled out, look, dolphins! As I was waiting outside on the shaded bench watching the water, which was absolutely gorgeous! (Few hours later we went to the opposite side - North Jetty & it was no where near as magical as the views from South Jetty) Two nice ladies were quickly serving many people & the lines went fast! One of the women remembered my name after I came back much later to return the plastic bin that held the food! So nice! It's great to be able to take your food to go all the way down the pier, very convenient. I ordered a standard German Hotdog and Jetty Angus cheeseburger. There is an option for bigger meat called the "belly buster" but I just got the standard & it was plenty enough & very satisfying! The juiciness of the meat, quality of the sauerkraut and crisp ones of the bun were delightfully perfect. Thank you! Can't wait to come back & try a few different items that were on the large menus! Oh & the bathroom was great! Huge deal, I spontaneously came here in a dress and really needed to change, there were nice counter tops in there for my stuff, huge relief! read more

Stopped for an iced coffee on a long walk . Three bucks for good strong coffee and service with a smile . Great location and views obviously and love the beer and wine option they now have . As to the person who gave one star regarding prices . I also tried out the pilot house further down the beach also for an iced coffee . Not as good , much more ice than coffee , perfunctory and couldn't be bothered attitude and $5.34 for the coffee . So - two good friendly iced coffee will run ya six bucks at jacks or just under Eleven bucks at the pilot house which thinks it's Starbucks and most certainly is not . read more

Go see Chris on the deck of the food court, he is the quintessential beach dude! Cool and laid back and ready to help you out and get your food ready for you. He has a great staff that works hard to make your experience fun at the beach. They have great hot dogs with all the fixings, nice burgers, and good ice cream that's scooped by hand for you.Great coffee and drinks. Love this awesome beach-side spot! We're visiting from Texas and heard this was a great place to get hot dogs and ice cream. We were not disappointed! Great place for a quick refreshment when visiting the jetty at Venice Beach. We are staying at a condo close by and realized we forgot to bring coffee (the horror!). Decided to walk down the beach to Jetty Jacks and grab coffee (for the grownups) and breakfast for the kiddos. Food options are limited, but good. So I usually don't do this but my fiancé and I went to Jetty Jacks for a quick bite and ice cream. When we get there it was about 7 roughly (an hour before closing) we ordered 2 hot dogs and we were told that they weren't serving but we could get ice cream. He ordered mint chocolate chip the lady told him they were out and offered something else (no problem). He ordered I believe an orange sherbert I ordered the caramel praline. By the time we are almost finished we hear 'here's your hotdog with relish' we turn around and the same lady who told us we couldn't have a hot dog served an older lady one and at this time it's about 7:45 So after she's served, we asked politely why she was served a hot dog but when we placed an order earlier we were told no. We got no answer she walked away, so we left. Is it the way we were dressed? Is it my hair color? Are you discriminating against my fiancé's skin color? Is it because we're an interracial couple? We enjoy getting a bite to eat at Jetty Jack's. The owners are super friendly and welcoming and the food is solid. We had a couple classic dogs and they were good. Also went for breakfast and had 2 sandwiches that were very good. Seems like there isn't much you could do to a simple breakfast sandwich but, for some reason, theirs was way above average. Plus, there is the wonderful experience of hanging out on the jetty and just soaking in the beauty. We are so happy that a quality place is so close! read more

It's a great place for watching the water, the people, the sun, the dolphins, the manatees, the boat traffic, the sunsets.............the horizon. The staff are super friendly and there is nice easy music and usually a pleasant breeze. The menu is really quite eclectic and surprising ...........we enjoy sitting back on the deck taking it all in while having a couple cold-pressed coffees with almond milk. If you find yourself in Venice be sure to stop in at Jetty Jacks! The panoramic view is spectacular. We regularly order a cold pressed coffee with almond milk and then enjoy the gentle breezes and tunes as we watch boats going in and out of the cut. You can't beat this place for the view, great food selection and hospitality. Owners Chris &Linda treated us like we were guests in their kitchen. We both had burgers, one beef and the other veggie. Both were on fresh buns with our choice of condiments. The veggie burger was tasty, a little bit of spice, but not overpowering. We're locals, so we'll be back to try some bbq next time.
