It was an amusing experience to be sure. The place was a little hole in the wall and it was curtained off so you couldn't watch the prep. I found that odd. I sat at a counter as I was alone. The sandwich was delivered to me. Nice. It was a monster of a sandwich spilling everywhere. My mouth was watering! This sandwich is my second personal favorite and I have eaten it weekly for the past five months! I had to go to the cashier and ask for a knife and fork. The response I got was, "Oh, is it too big for you?!" LOL! My response; "no, but it is spilling out all over the place." Well, with her attitude, (snicker snicker), I decided that it was a challenge. I got half way through and I was stuffed. Holy cow this thing IS huge! Did I finish it? Damn straight I did! The down side was it was like eating water. There was barely any flavor. The bread was cold to the touch... and I would have thought that with all of that meat that it would be scrumptious. No. I grew up in Boston. I KNOW what a good Philly cheese steak is. That week, I had two more sandwiches at different locations. YUP... that's what it's supposed to taste like. I have no idea what was missing in the first mentioned one. I wish I knew because I would have kindly mentioned it to them. By the way. There is a place called Schooners that has served THE BEST Philly sandwich. It may be half the size but for two bux less you'll have the best sandwich that I have found thus far. I would rank it 2 for mine and my wife said 3 so with no 2.5 we agreed to rate a 3. I really wanted to like this place as I enjoy a good Philly Cheeseteak but.... the good was the person taking our order was friendly, the cans of cokes were ice cold and the fries were crispy and tender. The sandwich was the purpose of the meal and maybe it was an off day being Monday but it quite simply was the bottom ranked of any Philly steak we have tried in our area. The bread cool to the touch and taste. The meat was not seasoned and the sweet peppers were few and far between. The mushroom had so few slices I dtopped the plural to mushroom. One steak sandwich had a lot more meat than the other so wo divided it to the sparse one. This was a failed visit and sometimes that happens but for the cost we won't revisit. read more

I've always wanted to try their Philly cheesesteak but never had the time to until now. At first it doesn't seem like much. It's a tiny restaurant in a hole but the signs make it clear they're there. Upon entering it's nicely set up and very sanitary. I ordered the regular Philly cheesesteak. The Philly cheesesteak came with beef, cheese and onions. You can add more veggies to it if you desire but I was craving meat lol flavor wise it was good. It wasn't anything magical but I really enjoyed it. It was slightly south of $13 which I thought it was a tad expensive for the size of it but it was flavorful. read more

I wish I could say that this is the best cheesesteak I've ever had. While there was plenty of meat, the roll was a little dry or stale, and the cheese wasn't melted the way it should've been resulting in a large amount of the meat sliding off the roll under a cap of cheese. New location for this place. They used to be on East bay Dr close to US19. They are now open in Missouri ave next to Aldi's. The have a small seating area to dine in. The food was great I thought. Their brown gravy is one of the best I've had goes well with the fries AND can't forget the cheese dip. We ordered the cheese steak and French dip both weeks delish oh let me go back to the fries. They are crunchy and not soggy. I could stop eating them with the gravy and cheese dip. Overall good food will def be back again. read more

Fries were cold but still crispy & and great flavor. We ordered a large fry... it was much smaller than expected. I ordered the side of gravy & a side of cheese. Both sides were a decent size. We just didnt have enough fries to use even half of the sauces. The SM Okra was small but not terrible for $3. The LG Cheesesteak .... meh... so much grease the wrapper was red & cheese was stuck to the paper. The sandwiches were a bit pricey for what was received. ($15 each) for a large fry. Small okra, side of cheese, side of gravy & 2 sandwiches it was $50.....maybe it was an off day. The fries were seasoned & crispy but aside from the fries, nothing really stands out as better than the next. Just being honest... I can get a Philly from Delcos for half the price & it's twice as big with the same rolls. This place definitely has better fries though. read more

I made my first trip to Philly's this weekend & was not disappointed. After reading some reviews on another social network I decided to give it a try and am glad I did. I had the cheesesteak with whiz and onions and a side of friend mushrooms. Food was hot & fresh, still very warm when I got home with the takeout order. It was a good-sized order of mushrooms, breaded nicely and crispy yet not over-breaded, quite flavorful. The cheesesteak was all I'd hoped for: loaded with steak, dripping with cheese. Meat was flavorful, moist, and savory with a nice balance of onions, the Amoroso roll was soft and fresh. Other reviews said the rolls may be hit-or-miss, but mine was great. The prices are a bit high, but the food is quality, so I can't complain. They have a really nice menu so i'll definitely be going back for the hot reuben sub, or maybe the meatball or chicken parm. Our office called in a lunch order for delivery. I had one of the Cubans which hardly had any meat in it and was mostly bread. Others had the Philly cheesesteaks which all said were mostly good. I'm afraid with the new location that they won't get the traffic. They are kind of hard to see and seem to get lost in the strip plaza between Aldi and pottery store. read more

I ordered an Italian sub, mozzarella sticks, and a medium coke. The driver forgot my drink, so I had to call and have him bring it back. The coke tasted awful. In fact, it tasted like diet coke. I hate the taste of Diet Coke. I called and was put on hold. A very rude woman got on the phone and said she poured it herself and it wasn't diet. She said said that's just how it tastes. Instead of trying to rectify the situation and give me a refund for something that tasted awful, she wanted to argue that's just the way it tastes. I paid almost 30 bucks for a subpar meal and terrible customer service. I emailed the business about the incident , and no one has responded. Needless to say, I won't be ordering again. I just read your response, and that's why I'm not ordering again, because apparently the customer is never right. Instead of offering me a refund for crappy tasting coke, you say that's just how it is! You'll keep losing customers with that nasty attitude. read more
