Customer service is very friendly from Robert, the owner to his wife and his mom. All three of them are totally friendly and very approachable, like I've known them for years. One awesome service these guys have is they come to my business and pick up the laundry, take it to the cleaners and bring it back. They are the BEST tailors and very reasonable. It is a family owned business and they are very hard working people and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering alterations or cleaning. They did the zipper in one of my snowboard jackets and it was double lined and she took it apart and replaced the broken zipper better than the original. She reinforced it and put a snap near the bottom of the jacket. She also put a patch on the knee and made it look like it was OEM. She even took the LOGO off the pants and put it back over the patch. I love this cleaners. They are super fast and super thorough. They are so nice, too, they feel like a mom and a dad. I love it that if there's something wrong with one of my clothes, like missing a button, or something is too long, etc, the "mom" sews it right there so my clothes come back like new. Also, I'm pretty bad at keeping white clothes away from stains, so the "dad" works on the stains until they disappear. He's so great. I feel so bad that he works so hard on my clothes, I now really try to keep them clean. I NEVER used to send stuff to the cleaners before I discover them. Kim's Tailoring has the best customer service, hands down. A few months ago I needed to go on a last minute business trip, but needed some clothes hemmed and cleaned. I dropped them off day-of, but was help up at work until after they closed. They knew my situation, because they actually listened, and called me before closing for the night. However, it wasn't to say "too late" or that they were sorry, but they had to close. Instead, they brought my clothes with them, and gave me a personal address and phone number to come pick up my clothes. I tried to leave a tip, but they wouldn't take it. This is a rare exception to most other customer-focused Korean-owned dry cleaners. I came here at the suggestion of a colleague. When picking up, I was told that they had misplaced a woman's blouse that I'd brought for cleaning. The lady insisted that it was policy that she still charge me for its cleaning, but that her husband would call me within a few days with an update. I returned exactly a week later after not receiving a phone call. The lady told me that they were not able to find it and asked me what its value was. Upon telling her, she said it was the store policy to reimburse me at 50% of the blouse's value. She "forgot" to reimburse me what I'd already paid to have it cleaned and only refunded me when I asked for the amount back. Too many other dry cleaners in the area to give them a second chance. read more

I'm from Northern California and was in the Glendale area for work and a variety of meetings. After arriving at the airport and getting my rental I made the mistake of stopping for a cup of coffee.... as i drove away the whole cup spilled all over me and my beige Longchamp's bag. I found this dry cleaner on yelp. Drove over, ran in a mess! I asked if they could help clean my stuff so i could at least wear it to my Saturday meetings and to my surprise they said no problem! Honestly if the last experience never happened this establishment could have been a 4 maybe 5 stars but that's not the case. I went in there to have some pants repaired. Maybe it's the English barrier but I showed her each spot that needed attention since my uncle picked up my dry cleaning I couldn't check her work. Anyhow, long story short-- I went back there and she acted like it wasn't her work. She used blue thread for black pants which isn't so classy and the pants already need fixing. Yes they're prices are reasonable, but my experience has been just ok. Have been here two times, both to get jeans hemmed. Now they did a good job, but the lady who helped me does not speak English very well. Now I'm not saying that there anything wrong with that, heck I dont care if someone didn't even speak ANY English as long as they knew how to tailor perfectly and knew exactly what I wanted... it was just hard to communicate with her. Which I know isn't her fault! When I asked questions I didn't understand her response. Personally, I'd just rather have a tailor with whom I can clearly explain to them what I want and have them completely understand, and knows how to do it. She explained to me that she couldn't put the original hem on the jeans when she obviously could have. And that was the first time... the second time I thought I'd just give them another shot since she did a good job on the first. I came in Tues before Thanksgiving thinking that I'd receive them the next day, like how I received my other jeans the next day after I brought them in (is that not logical thinking?)... but no. She said she'd have them ready by Friday... when I asked if I could have them done by the next day she smirked at me like Thanksgiving was a two day holiday that starts on Wednesday. I understand that they're a private business and can open and close as they please, but c'mon... every other business is open. I then told her that I'd pay extra to pick them up tomorrow, in which she replied "ok". With that "ok", I took it that she agreed to have my pants done tomorrow If I paid extra. I've never experienced service where I was fist smirked at and then had to OFFER them to pay more than the original price to pick up my jeans on the NORMAL done date. For me, I'd gladly pay more to go to a shop where I can understand the tailor and who wont smirk at me. Which is what I'll be doing. read more

it is only so-so. not cheap. maybe average prices. i am not sure. easy alterations like pants hemming is fine. more complex alterations like a blazer was not a success. took in slip cover and came back with 2 stains still on it. Had to take it back. She was not able to explain the reason y she couldn't get the stains out as I do not speak Korean. Anyway she had someone do more spot cleaning. A good amount of the stain came out. Still i had to go home and do some more spot cleaning w a wet towel. I'm just saying I shouldn't have to make 2 trips for that. I left several shirts, sweaters, and a coat with Kim's. The shirts needed heavy starch, but the Korean lady there kept telling me, no, you just NEED medium starch. Granted, my Korean is limited and her English isn't great either, but I kept insisting on heavy starch for the shirts. She finally just nodded at me and said OK, which I took to mean -- okay, we'll do heavy starch. Well, the shirts only got medium starch. My dad (who used to have a dry cleaners) took his shirts back to complain and that's when she clarified that they can't do heavy starch because they don't have the equipment to do it and only do medium starch on collars. I know the lady can't speak English well, but don't let the customer leave thinking something will be done when you don't have the means to do it. We had a bit of argument over it, in which she denies telling me she can do heavy starch, tells me I'm crazy, and tells my dad to go somewhere else next time. So rude! That was just my dad's shirts. My coat ended up with splotchy marks all over it. They denied doing it, but offered to redo, though the lady said right up that she didn't think they could take it out. Great effort -- the redo wasn't much better. Splotches were faded, but still there and I swear it seems like there are additional splotches. Lastly, one of my sweaters had a button that was cracked straight down the middle. Didn't bother to make a fuss about the button after the ordeal with the shirts and coat. I will say that the older gentleman there was a bit more apologetic and accommodating, but the lady there has terrible etiquette with customers. Stay away if you like your clothes. read more

The wife walked right to the sewing machine and fixed them beautifully. "$5," he said. I said I'd be glad to pay more. She said, without looking up from her seeing, "$2." I slipped three onto the counter. The man gave me back one. Could not dream of better, kinder, sweeter or more efficient service. Plus it does have that awful dry cleaners smell. The back door was open and there's a stunning view of the San Gabriel mountains you can look at while you wait--which won't be for long. read more
