I've known Marco since the late 1980's, and I have to say, he and his two other brothers are The trinity of creativity! Marco is the finest engraver, using old world techniques that most have forgotten. Marco is bar none, hands down the FINEST watch Repair Maestro you'll ever know. His passion for watches, can almost be considered a second religion for his dedication and zeal. Also as a Jeweler, the term Grand Maestro doesn't even begin to describe his craftsmanship. One of the two brothers is a Maestro in the finer metals. The stuff I've seen his brother makes would just boggle the mind! I've seen him work his trade, right before my eyes, and all you need is some classical music, it's a ballet. Another brother is a Maestro in metallurgical sciences. I was once given a test, pick the original watch band. I picked the precious metal replica over the original. When the three work on a task, ANYTHING is possible! Fine work for a fair price! I have lived in the area for several years and have popped in, in the past, to get a watch fixed or a necklace cleaned and reduced in size, etc. Every time I walk in, he is very friendly and extremely reasonable. He fixes my items within 20 minutes and charges me a very reasonable amount. Last time, I need to add a link on a watch and I accidentally brought him links from the wrong watch. Jewelry Magic is now and forever my local jeweler. The first time I went to Marco was to engrave my boyfriend's marathon finisher medal. It was for a pretty reasonable price (I believe it was $20) and he did a great job. The second time I went to Marco was to get my engagement ring re-sized. I appreciated that he was upfront with us about what he could do with my ring -- not only did he have to resize it down 2.5 sizes (which based on my own research, you shouldn't size down more than 2 sizes), but since diamonds went down most of both sides, it would be additionally difficult to resize the upper half. He went into more detail about the process with us, especially regarding the side diamonds. He seemed very knowledgeable about what he was doing. I'm so happy we entrusted him! Although he couldn't get the ring into a perfect circle (pushing down the sides of the ring any more to shrink it would have ruined the integrity of the design and the diamonds), he did get it down 2.25 sizes and everything was just as brilliant and beautiful as it was when we dropped it off. read more

Just dropped my necklace to get put back together and he put it back the wrong and ruined the chain completely and didn't want to fix what he destroyed. I called them to see if they could put a battery in my watch. I asked how much it costs to replace a battery. They quoted me a price. when I arrived and showed them my watch they said it was going to cost more than they quoted. So shame on me for having a nice watch! Marco at Jewelry Magic has been excellent providing great customer service on multiple occasions. I've been out in minutes I'm not a watch repair guy so excuse me if I say the wrong word here but my automatic watch with the spinning backplate so you can see the guts inside, it was not locking like it used to. I took my watch in, they repaired it the first time without any issues, I left a happy customer. A few days later, I noticed that it was back to how it was a few days before. I came back and he fixed it once again, no questions asked. Really happy with that. Recently, a few weeks later, I noticed that it was acting up again and I took the watch in again! He remembered the watch and even my name. Again, he fixed it but I noticed he went above and beyond just fixing the screw, he oiled it, etc. It sounds like how it did when it was brand new. I really appreciate his service. Not to call out another Yelp user, but Simran D., must be a complete idiot or jerk. No one raised their voice, they just wanted to fix my watch so I left a happy customer. There are a lot of crazy people in LA and I assume they are one of them. Oh well read more

I haven't used my watch in years because the strap loop broke years ago (worthless). I walked into this shop and was expecting to pay for at least something but the nice gentleman insisted it was no charge. Couldn't thank him enough and now I can finally where my watch! I have had plenty of issues with products in the past and had good store owners stand by true customer service and come to a solution that works for everyone. UPDATE: after posting this review I was privately contacted by the owner not to settle this rationally, with respect and like an honorable businessman but instead VERBALLY ATTACKED IN ABUSIVE LANGUAGE. I made the folly of giving my boyfriend (now fiance) the wrong ring size. I checked on yelp for a reputable, affordable, and swift jewelry repair shop, and Jewelry Magic received enough positive reviews for me to trust their quality of work. Walked in, not impressed by the interior, but was quoted a very decent $75 for a COMPLETE 6 to 4 RESIZING and RESETTING of all the pave diamonds and center stone. That extent of work is normally double the price if not more at competing jewelry shops. The work was done in 2 hours and I can not even tell there was any bit of work done to my engagement ring.
