It wasn't even a week from the time I picked up his shoddy work. When I tried to bring it back, not only did he give me attitude, but he wanted to charge me. He even said he remembered when I came in with my male friend when we spent hundreds of dollars. He said he was willing to throw in the labor but wanted me to buy a new earring back and post which was not even gold. And he wanted to charge me $50 for a metal, (NOT gold) post and earring back. How many earring backs have you lost in your life? It wasn't just his greed that annoyed me, it was his total and utter disrespect of me as a human. I find men like this treat women very differently when there's another man with me. I wouldn't trust these folks. Plus he obviously doesn't respect older women. Steer clear.

I recently visited a watch repair shop that I found on Yelp, and I must say it was a hidden gem. Located inside a building without any signage, it took a bit of navigation to find. However, if you're looking for it, just keep an eye out for Building #606, which is the corner building after passing Lemonade Larchmont when coming from Melrose. Once inside, turn left, and it's the very last door. Despite not having an appointment, I decided to give it a shot and walked in. The staff was accommodating and didn't require an appointment. The shop itself is adorned with numerous framed photos of celebrities, all signed. I was curious and asked if these celebrities were their clients over the years. It turns out they were originally located in Beverly Grove, which explained the star-studded clientele. I needed to replace the batteries in my watches, a Daniel Wellington and a Gucci. The cost for the Daniel Wellington battery replacement was $15, while the Gucci watch cost $40. The whole process was a breeze and took them less than 10 minutes to fix both watches. I opted to pay in cash, but they also accept credit cards, although with a small fee. Overall, I was highly satisfied with my experience at this watch repair shop. Despite its inconspicuous location, the service was excellent, quick, and reasonably priced. If you're in need of watch repairs and don't mind a bit of searching, I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

It has been quite some time since I've been wanting to get my watch serviced and cleaned, but never made the time to actually get it done, mainly because I didn't know where to go and who to trust. A few of my friends had recommended me to go see Mike at Majestic Jewelry, and I thought why not? Since 3 different people had recommended it to me, then this place had to be good. I dropped off my watch to Mike exactly 2 weeks ago, and he told me it will be ready in 2 weeks. He called me yesterday and told me it is ready, and I went and picked it up today, exactly 2 weeks later. Not too many places meet their promised time. He dismantled it, cleaned and oiled it, and put it back together, and also took pictures to show the difference, which I have posted here on Yelp, both the before and after. The customer service is amazing that is for sure, they are all nice and respectful people. And just by having a conversation with him, you can tell he is very knowledgable about what he does. I definitely recommend everyone to come to Mike at Majestic Jewelry for all your jewelry needs, don't think you can ever find a better place anywhere else. read more

Paid for an aftermarket crystal to be replaced on my movado watch after I had scratches. After about a week I discovered the watch was no longer water proof. When I took it back they were extremely rude to me when I had explained what happened. I was very calm and tried to be nice about the situation I wasn't asking for a refund or complaint. I was just explaining what happened and asked that it be fixed he continued on about how it was my fault and apparently I can't wash my hands with a watch on although he had failed to tell me it would no longer be waterproof. I feel very offended and will never go back here. read more

Very Easy to work with and not pushy at all, they have tons and tons of blanks and rings to look at and you aren't in a showroom with people crowded around. You can sit down at a desk and they will go through what you are looking for. I went in basically knowing the ring and stone I wanted but I still took some time to look at similar styles and they were very accommodating. I went to them because they were the only jeweler I found with unique 3 stone designs, all the others seemed to be basic 3 stones on a band. read more

I was referred here by a friend who has taken his jewelry to this business for years. I had taken two of my watches to be repaired and a necklace chain that was pretty badly knotted. Vartan was the one who helped me out upon arrival. He made my visit there quick and easy and assured me I was in good hands. All three pieces were given back in great condition and he did not make me wait as long as other jewelry repair shops have in the past. A lot of famous people are their customers but they treat everyone like a star. The service is first class and John never overcharges. I met Bob, who was kind and seemed knowledgeable. He said it would be sent to their "watch guy" and quoted a turnaround time. When I finally got an update, I was told my watch was rusty and probably a fake (Omega). That was a huge red flag showing a lack of knowledge and expertise. Then, when I went to pick it up, the story changed. Now it was probably real but "not worth fixing" because the party's are too difficult to source. Fine. Frustrating, but I accepted that. The real issue: when I got the watch back, the crown fell out, and the watch no longer keeps time. I have them a watch that worked albeit in rough shape, and I received back a non-functioning. No accountability just a shrug and gaslighting. I stayed calm out of respect for Bobs advanced age, but let's be clear: my watch was returned in significantly worse condition than when I brought it in. That's unacceptable. I'd give myself 0/5 stars for taking my watch to Regency. What a mistake that was.

The service I received here was appalling - never in my life have I felt more taken advantage of. I read some of the poor reviews and went here out of convenience because I live around the corner - HUGE mistake. I brought in my black Movado that I had dropped on concrete. The front glass (crystal) had broken and Martha said she could repair it. At first she quoted me $85, but then told me for me it was $55. I was excited - this was a deal. A few days later she calls me and says she ordered the part, but the part is actually more expensive than she anticipated, and quoted me $125. That was an insane jump and an immediate red flag, but I love my watch, so I agreed to the new price. I never heard from her for weeks (no text, no voicemail) and only after I called to check on the status did she say it was ready. When I go to pick it up the condition is absolutely terrible. I had ONE crack in the crystal/top glass from a direct hit on pavement. This new glass face (if it even is glass...) wasn't repaired properly and what's left is a jagged cut crystal with little chips all over the face of my old watch. It is an absolute hatchet job. To make matters worse, she showed me my old crystal and it's not even the same part!! I can't believe my watch is in this condition. When I pointed out how poorly it was put together, she said how else is the face supposed to be removed? It is more than clear now that she lacks the tools AND the know how to repair a watch crystal (which any reputable shop can do, by the way). My watch looks like an amateur did it. This was no repair. If I wanted to it to look this bad I would have done it myself. DO NOT BRING YOUR PRECIOUS WATCHES HERE.
