They were such genuine people they gave me what I wanted for FREE. They honestly felt so bad, they gave me their product for no charge. But what was really surprising to me was the volume of people from all walks of life. No kidding ... Every 30 seconds there were multiple people walking through those doors. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I can no longer do that. The employee working behind the counter questioned my 26-year-old boyfriend's ID, immediately concluded it was fake, and called the police without involving a manager or taking any reasonable steps to verify the identification first. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the employee escalated it unnecessarily. When the responding officers confirmed that his ID was completely valid, the employee's response was, "So you're not going to do anything?" Even after being proven wrong, she still appeared determined to have a paying customer arrested. That was honestly the most shocking part of the entire experience. Mistakes can happen, especially with different forms of identification such as enhanced driver's licenses. However, there is a significant difference between asking questions or involving a manager and immediately calling law enforcement while falsely accusing a customer of using a fake ID. He was treated like a criminal over a legitimate ID, and it was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely avoidable. This experience reflects a serious lack of training, professionalism, and customer service. There are too many dispensaries with knowledgeable, respectful staff to tolerate being treated this way. We will be taking our business elsewhere, and I will no longer be recommending The Flowery to friends or family.
